TopResume

This company is a scam. They ran my resume through what appeared to be ChatGPT and gave it back nearly identical but with translation errors.

They then fired and gave me a new writer. The second writer had never worked in tech and was a porno writer (we all know how bad that writing is).

Total scam. Stay far away from TopResume.

It felt a little AI at the beginning - some of the mistakes in the doc were not something an experienced writer would make. If the process does include AI - I think that is fine - but it needs to be revealed. During the revision, the experience felt more human. If the initial draft had not had grammar and spelling errors - this would have been 5 star, or if I had understood that the first pass would be via AI that would have been fine too.

Promptly after signing up, I was assigned to Zach. He reached out to me to introduce himself and provide a questionnaire. My first draft was completed within two days, providing enough time to make corrections, ask questions, and provide feedback. He was very responsive and straightforward to work with. I believe he produced a solid document that immediately made me feel more confident that it would help me to find the right job.

Let me warn you all, I paid for a full service, Resume, LinkedIn and 48hr rush, I still haven't received my professional resume, no LinkedIn profile, and definitely not in 48hrs. I was robbed over $350. Do not ever let Hilda offer you anything. I will be telling everyone I know to stay away from Top Resume. That's a joke of a name and they aren't top of anything but the dump. There's a special place for liars and thieves. I have two open fraud cases against the thieves. Please do not use. You will regret. Very very bad service.

TopResume offered three options for resume work as well as upgrade options for career support based on personal needs.

Their initial package of resume writing was my primary goal. After my purchase, the writer assigned to me reached out and started the process.

It was easy to chat with the writer, see updates on the work, and enough time allotted to allow for edits, questions, etc.

The writer did such a fabulous job, I asked her to write my cover letter as well. I appreciate thar the offers for upgrades throughout the process were not annoying but relevant.

This was my second time using TopResume. I used them about 5 years ago and had great results, plenty of interviews, and changed careers since then. This time, my writer was assigned within a day and my first draft was done within 2 days (I paid for rush). The writer was very polite and provided timely responses. The draft was great and the end product looks amazing. Thanks again TopResume!

Right from the beginning this service sounded very professional, I had some previous experiences with rookie resume markers on LinkedIn and other platforms but their work was horrible. First I was sent a questionnaire and I had provide all relevant information, then I was assigned with Thomas Z who started working on my Project. As a dissatisfied customer, I feel compelled to share my recent experience with TopResume. I engaged their services with high hopes of receiving a professional resume tailored to my needs. Unfortunately, what I received was far below even the most basic standards of quality.

Despite my attempts to address the issue, including discussions about assigning a new writer and offering refunds of 15% and 50%, the problem remains unresolved. No new writer was assigned, and the prolonged delay in resolving the matter has been utterly unacceptable.

What's more, the significant gaps between correspondence only reinforced my belief that the individual handling my case failed to understand the importance and urgency of the matter.

After careful consideration, I have requested a 50% refund, as previously offered, and have decided to terminate my account with TopResume. While I appreciate their attempts to rectify the situation, the extended delay and lack of a satisfactory resolution have left me with no other choice.

Overall, my experience with TopResume has been extremely disappointing. I urge others to consider these shortcomings before engaging in their services.

Really Awesome service! My writer, Patrick, tailored a resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile for me. If you're anything like me and not as active on LinkedIn or aware of its features, you need this service.

I ordered the resume / cover letter combo. The first draft of my new resume contained quite a few formatting and grammatical errors. I contacted Customer Service, and as I understood their response I was not buying a finished product, but the opportunity to collaborate with a writer. Apparently my part of the collaboration was proofreading. I was not offered a full or partial refund, nor the opportunity to work with a different writer. I wonder if Top Resume has grown too fast to maintain their quality of service, as their reviews from several years ago are really excellent.

I worked with Greet and it was a great experience. I feel more prepared to apply for jobs.

I've only had my new resume format about 24 hours, with only one application sent with it so far, so it's not like there's been enough time to see if there's been any improvement in interest. They should probably send out review requests after 30 days for this service.

Every step of the way they try to upsell you with additional services, both during the initial process and with endless follow-up emails.

The resume their writer provided for me (after a week of time) is utter garbage. It was not written by a professional or anyone that has so much as a single clue about my industry (software). They took phrases from my own LinkedIn profile, copy/pasted them into my resume, and bloated every single phrase with completely meaning drivel. Rather than highlighting my experience and achievements, they turned my resume into an incomprehensible, poorly formatted mess.

They introduced spelling mistakes. They made up things that I never did and presented these as hard facts. They introduced phrases that simply don't make sense.

I could not imagine a worse mess.

This company does not provide professional services, they are scammers. Avoid them at all costs!
