Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Poshmark staff and previous consumers.
Take it with a grain of salt. Alot of Poshmark sellers are on other sites posting the same item. If it sells on their other site for more $$$ then they cancel on You. But still write the seller & ask why. I had a seller cancel on Me because She was actually in the hosp for 2 weeks & couldn't mail it out. I wrote Her then 2 weeks later She had been home from the hospital. She explained Her situation & posted it again so I could buy it. So situations do happen on Poshmark. Just beware of the scammers. & don't trade. Alot of sellers have traded. Some were good but most weren't. Lots of fake things are also being sold on Poshmark. Fake Betsey Johnson jewelry, Fake MK jewelry, so I would steer away from jewelry.
They need to make all reviews public just like mercari and ebay. Very hard to judge it is a roll of the dice.
Beware of your buyer. They will destroy your item, then claim it was sent that way. Poshmark will side with the buyer.
It's buyer beware. Read the sellers "Love notes" section. Happy customers pretty much means you won't be scammed. Follow all posh rules, it's safer that you won't get scammed. Do your research on that LV bag before you buy it. There are fakes on the site, most sellers are honest, but you do have the scammers.
Too many sellers and too few buyers. Selling takes a lot of effort. And Poshmark doesn't make it easy to get your cash. They give you a credit and you have to request the cash.
You can look at their comments there are no reviews. Stay away from dodoboo2 she's an awful seller.
Wow! That is a first but won't be a last! Scammers are running ramped on Poshmark. Good luck with convincing Poshmark that it was an empty package. They stick up for the buyer not the seller I'm afraid.
Once the customer receives the item they decide if they are going to keep it and then they "accept" it. Once they accept, the payment goes on to your account as an available balance and you get paid via the method you choose. Direct deposit or check from Poshmark.
Not a scam but very poor business practices. There are wonderful sellers and great deals to be had if nothing goes wrong but they will charger you for items not received. I was shipped wrong item, men's boots for $30 and I paid $65 for my order, but didnt receive my order. Postmark hasnt responded to me and in fact charged my account without my accepting the order because I never received my order, but someone else's for half the value of mine. Luckily the poor seller who hasn't had a response from poshmark either, has been wonderful and we are working out the problem ourselves. They will find themselves in court if they dont improve th heur practice.
