Question:

Answer:

Best thing to do is change your checking account immediately. They used to be reachable but since they have been under investigation for a class action suit (gee, what a surprise), they have seemingly gone underground. Except to take money. They were once decent, but have become a scam. Don't expect to get your money back. Sorry to say, but it's the truth.

Question:

If i don't pay for a subscription and just have a profile, are families still seeing my applications that i send in?

Answer:

Whaaaaaa? I need some major clarification. Is it your experience that caregivers with no paid subscriptions are applying for job postings that are INVISIBLE to the potential employer? So there's no notification by Care.com to the unpaid subscriber caregiver that they are literally BLOCKED from communicating with people needing services? THAT IS CRAZY RIDICULOUS if this site operates like this and it's impossible to KNOW what information, IF ANY, is actually filtering through to the proper recipient?! I am disgusted if this company knowingly allows unpaid subscribers to spend hours writing carefully, well crafted emails following up on applications sent to potential employers and using blocking filters without informing them that the emails are not accessible?!?! Furthermore, there's no receipt or confirmation that applications submitted by unpaid subscribers are ever actually even routed to the proper recipients? I need confirmation of the company's email subscription policies and am feeling really foolish.

Question:

How do i get care.com to stop pestering my references when they have already posted reference messages?

Answer:

Hi Kara, Care.com only sends your references an email at the time that you add them. This email lets them know that they can write about the work you've done for them and have that blurb posted on your profile, this way future employers can see what they have to say. If they are receiving multiple emails, it may be because you have entered them as a reference on multiple service profiles. If this is not that case, feel free to contact Member Care so that we can look into this further! We can be reached at 877-227-3115 or you can message me here.

Question:

What percentage does care.com take from a nanny paycheck? how hard is this question! seriously!?

Answer:

They take ZERO percent of your pay. Ive been on the site for years and never had to pay for a job. With the new benefits program your employers pay the fees, unless you are full time then they take fees out for your social security and normal work taxes
