I cannot believe care.com has been charging me-unbeknownst to me-$39 for the past 9 months. We signed up for a 30 day membership while looking for a math tutor for my son last fall, and apparently our membership autorenewed. That is completely unacceptable. When i went to contact someone at care.com, no number or email was available. What is wrong with you people?

Same thing happened to me. I do NOT recommend them. Absolutely wrong and I am not sure how it is even legal?

Message through the Facebook page. They gave me a refund. I had simultaneously emailed and the email folks would not have given a refund.

Hi
Yup you fell into what not thousands but millions of people across the world have fell into. THE SCAM OF THE CENTURY! Care.com has literally scammed millions of hard working families out of who knows how many millions of dollars. Care.com is in 16 countries and has 45 million accounts to date open and close. I looked this up on the NYSE news page. Care.com started out in 2006 I think as an honest great company but has sunken to the lowest of lows by intentionally ripping the public off. And here is why: Care.com started off with about 200 million dollars invested. They have melted away 150 million dollars is advertising and expanding in 15 more countries outside of the USA. Care.com is slowly going under and have gone public trading. The stock price in now about 6 bucks a share down from 17 a share. Ripping the public off is the only way for them to stay afloat and not loose any more stockholders. 50 million is all that is left and if the NYSE professional are right Care.com should be c bankrupt by the end of 2016 with the rate of decline as of now. Care.com has made some desperate investments like UBER CARSEATS and CIRTUS LANE. It is like like a failing restaurant trying to keep alive by selling happy hour drinks.

They did the same thing to me. They were not helpful when I did get a hold of someone. I called my credit card company and disputed charges bc I felt like I never okayed this. Credit card company gave Care.com 90 days to respond and they never did so I got my money returned that way. Hope this helps! SO FRUSTRATING!

Watch out for Citrus Lane too--that's one of their new spinoff companies.

What you described is exactly what they do, you have fallen victim to the same thing that thousands of others have. I can't explain what is wrong with them, I don't have the same mindset or belief system that the owners, operators and employees of care.com do. You're lucky that you caught on now instead of 5 years down the road. They are hard to get into contact with, especially when you need assistance for a matter like this. They really don't care and this is their normal operating procedure. Looking forward to the day a large class-action lawsuit is brought against them.
