Why is the tax not included in the total price? does that mean i dont have to pay it at all? or will it come back up in some hidden fee?

Answer:

You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.

Just made a booking but didnt give credit card how will they chage me

Answer:

There are many hotels that one does not need to guarantee with a credit card on booking.com generally the hotel will hold the room until 4/6pm on date of arrival, at that time the reservation will cancel, and since you did not use a cc for the booking that will be the end of it. I have had some hotels who do not require a credit card ask if i want the room held past 6pm, if so then i click the box and put in the credit card information

What does it mean exactly "pay later"?

Answer:

We book our accomodation about 5 months before. Most times it's much cheaper. Good thing is that you do not have to pay until you check out. If you do not like a place you can cancel about a week before without any penalty. We booked a place in Bari recently and we cancelled because of a lot of bad reviews and we booked another place which was really good.

Answer:

Don't ever use booking.com, they are terrible! They are completely $#*!ing me over on visiting my mother and sister becausen I had to reschedule due to COVID. Complete bull$#*!.

It was booking.com who charge and there is nothing to deal with the hotel.

Made a booking through booking.com which said free cancelation, i canceled it before the deadline,still the full amount charged bythe property owner

Answer:

They said the same for me. I called the site that the room was booked and spoke with the manager. She said booking.com was never charged by the location and I should receive a full refund. I still havemt gotten my money back
