I like little adventures....tiny dirt roads and hidden restaurants...
Hoping I can point out rotten websites...

Today on NPR I heard the owner of Jihadology speak about the reaction to Bin Laden's death. He was very interesting, and his site keeps track of all the news and topics being posted on jihādī websites. I find it fascinating to read since I don't know much about it. I feel like we can all learn a lot about how other people feel and think. Hope you like it too! =)
This appears to be the same sites as this one that has received a lot of bad reviews. Check them out before using!

Babyage doesn't carry the cheapest baby products, but I do find a lot of lovely gifts for my nieces and nephews, and all my friends' children. One of my favorite bits of the site is the daily deal section
http://www.babyage.com/deal_of_the_day.aspx
Another good one is the clearance page
http://www.babyage.com/collections/clearance-center.htm
It's still not cheap but that's the life of modern day yuppie parents! (yes, yes yuppies went out with the 90s but the lifestyle hasn't changed so much =)
Sophie I liked the web site. The only thing missing, our baby has grown.
Oh that's sad! But there are always other people's kids to spoil and one day you might have some grand kids =)
Right, at some point grown babies will have their own babies!
Bloomingdales (or Bloomies as my sister calls it) is too rich for my blood but I do like it better than Nordstrom or Macy's (because I think their stores are better organized and their website is good). However, if you sign up for their mailing list there are frequently 40%+ discounts if you're patient which makes it a little less outrageously priced. I must say I do love to browse =)
I recently bought a present here for my oldest niece. I found a really cute summer dress for her, but in the process I noticed a lot of the clothes at Delia's are a little, how can I say, "too grown-up"? I realize I'm rapidly becoming a fuddy duddy, but since my niece loves Delia's, I'll keep trying to find her the most appropriate outfits I can =)
oh wow, i didn't realize this place was still around!
I hope it will be around. I have a growing daughter as you know?!
It's so hard to keep up with kids as they grow! =)
This is another one of those Miracle Mineral Supplement (also known as Miracle Mineral Solution or MMS) sites. These guys are snake oil salesmen selling a "miracle cure" that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned contains bleach http://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/SafetyInformation/SafetyAlertsforHumanMedicalProducts/ucm220756.htm
Please please please consult your doctor and do not use this bad medicine.
Poputrade is using fake Versign and McAfee badges so I would be very very careful if you choose to buy anything (I would not =)
Weddingdressesonlinesale (wow that is a spammy URL!) has a fake Verisgn and McAfee badges on their homepage. They even squished them so they don't look real! I wouldn't buy from this site if my wedding were tomorrow and they had the last wedding dress in the world.
Well spotted Sophie. People should learn to look out for the "fake" verification logos at the bottom of the page. The "Verisign" and "McAfee" logos are supposed to be linked to the relevant sites to verify they are legitimate. While this is not foolproof, it helps. These sites just place logos there to make them look legitimate.
These guys use humor and irony to publicly "out" politicians and companies for their bad behavior. There was a segment about them on CNN http://cnn.com/video/?/video/us/2011/04/13/tsr.ge.gets.punked.cnn where they published a hoax where GE gave back their billion dollar tax refund to help create jobs in the US (not true unfortunately).
I'm amazed at their creativity! =)
This site has the spammiest website address ever, and there are ads all over. SiteJabber also has warned against people search sites http://www.walletpop.com/2011/03/25/sitejabber-avoid-mylife-com-spokeo-be-careful-with-people-sea/
I love this wonderful open source sheet music project. So much older sheet music costs a lot of money but the composers are long dead. That seems wrong to me. The International Music Score Library Project (IMSLP) puts sheet music online and makes it available for free which is just lovely for the public. I read about all in this New York Times article International Music Score Library Project (IMSLP)
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/22/arts/music/22music-imslp.html?_r=2&pagewanted=all
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Thanks for this - I have sent the address on to a couple of friends.
Thank you Sophie!
Amtltools.com has been associated with adware, spyware, or viruses according to McAfee -- I wouldn't download it!
Dressespro.com is using a FAKE verisign badge on the bottom of its homepage. I would be very very careful shopping here!
Thanks for the info!

Sofie, Thanks for the tip, great find very helpful
Useegames is using fake Verisign AND McAfee badges on the bottom of their homepage. I would be very very careful!
Buyshoesmall.com has a fake McAfee AND Verisign badges on the bottom right. That means this site is being **dishonest** with its customers, so look out everyone!
This site appears to be using a fake VeriSign badge on its homepage. I'd use caution making purchases.
This site uses a fake Verisign badge on the bottom of its homepage, and if you check out it doesn't use https when it takes your personal information. I would use extreme caution!
It's so lame, these fake icons. But for some reason, many websites seem to carry on using it. Do they REALLY expect people to fall for such tricks?
You might like to compare the image of the enormous warehouse here:
http://www.feevoo.com/FeeVoo/About-Us.html
with the actual 'warehouse' at 12604 Canterbury Drive, Plainfield, IL, which seems to be a large, $300,000 home in an area which is entirely un-warehouselike. Maybe the warehouse is in the garage?
It's possible though, that the warehouse belongs to ATC Supply, an importer of Chinese electronic bits and bobs, and we're seeing the Chinese end. Which would explain the fake badges, a frequent mark of Chinese activity.
I just put an order in this website and paid with my credit card, it is ok!! Had a very happy shopping experience here. Their customer service is so kind and knowledgeable. Thanks them so much. Come on guys. no website is 100% perfect. Don't be so nitpick. The most important is the service and product quality!
Agreed, sort of. And I can't comment on that, I'm not a customer.
Agreed ... except, if they're good, then they don't need to use fraudulent badges to fool people. If they're honest, they don't need to lie. Fair comment?
Also important is good English.
Don't be so nitpick? I'm assuming you were trying to say that Sophie was trying to 挑毛病?
I'm sure that no website is 100% perfect. But fake VeriSign icons and a fake US address - thats waaaaaa below 100%. Be happy if you only get 50%.
Surprising how you can comment on their quality - taking into consideration you just ordered. Perhaps you live beside them at 12605 Canterbury Drive?
This site is using a fake Verisign badge to try to pretend to be legitimate. Everyone use great caution because if they have a fake badge they probably have lots of other fakes!!
Lol. I just commented on that. Yippee!!! So many real reviewers around just waiting to tear up these self-advertisements lolol
Fake VeriSign icons, Fake TrustGuard icons, and (drum roll please), using a QQ email address are dead giveaways :)
Hey there! I just bought a dress from this website, paid an extra 15 pounds sterling to receive my dress within 2-4 business days, and 6 days later no dress. I've emailed them but haven't got any reply. Not happy. Can you please explain how to spot fake Verisign icons etc. I'm new to internet shopping and feeling like I've been stung badly.
This site has no physical address...I'd be cautious. There have been a lot of scams around people trying to get money for their electronics http://www.walletpop.com/2011/01/11/cellforcash-com-owes-me-money-help-me-walletpop/
I know they just moved to a new location last month. It looks like their address and contact info is updated on the Contact Us page now.
