A touch overpriced but they have some cool designed sunglasses and stuff. Essential gear for a walk on the beach or anywhere really.

A nice camera store that produces some great youtube demonstrations on how to use the gear. They sell lights, lenses, and all kinds of creative tools. I like them.

The articles are just fine but the cool part is seeing the active user base in the blog comments discussing new fuji gear. There are lots of photo experts there giving detailed opinions on tiny nuanced differences between new cameras. You can learn a lot by reading.

They remove unwanted personal info like emails, phone numbers, and addresses from the internet. In this post-Covid dystopian world where I'm doing all my work online I think that's an essential service. I don't need my personal info online. I don't want creeps and losers finding my home and threatening me just because I said something they disagree with politically like they did in Milwaukee. And they actually did the work so they're alright by me.

They have so much unique camping tools, climbing equipment, bikes, and other outdoor stuff. I love browsing their store for hours just finding new equipment. It's really cool.

Their prices are a bit higher than Walmart but their style is pretty cool and modern and they make good stuff. I like them.

They have very shady billing practices. They'll quote you one price for a service then mail you an extra bill a week later.
They're also milking the pandemic situation to scare people into unnecessary tests when they're healthy. They sometimes have hours long lines and bunch people together to get tested, and mingle sick and healthy people close together for long periods. Nothing about this makes sense.
To be fair there's one good thing about them and I'll give them a point for that. They do provide a convenient option for medically underserved communities as a cheap healthcare option. Have a cut and need some quick stitches and tetanus shot? They're a good quick option in many cases. But please remember what utter scumbags they are about the billing.

This site is good, bad, and ugly. Wish I could leave a 2.5 rating.

The good: literal geniuses post here about technology, science, society and culture, design, and more. You can learn amazing stuff. Also, relatively spam free.

The Bad: because so many Silicon Valley firms have criminally bad customer support despite claiming to be enlightened beings, you hear frequent sob stories here from desperate people trying to save their business from Google or Facebook or other uncaring corporations blocking them or stealing their money. This has become the unofficial tech support channel for these companies.

The ugly: the moderation is fierce and politically biased. Good luck if you have a political opinion not inside the narrow 3x5 index card of approved public opinions about not getting downvoted and banned. The freedom loving streak that Silicon Valley used to enjoy is now close to dead.

It's still a site worth reading, but know what you're seeing is a bit ugly.

They went from the very best dating site to one of the worst. They ruined how communications work in some convoluted way that doesn't make sense to anybody. They don't deal with spam profiles at all. And they've become involved politically biased pushing one side over another to the detriment of being a neutral platform. It's a shame about how far from grace they've fallen.
