In January I ordered the Old Farmers Almanac and a gardening calendar from Yankee Publishing; I received nothing. When I telephoned, they said they were sending the order a second time; I received nothing. Next I asked for a refund, which they said they would send; I received nothing. A month later I requested a refund again, they said they would send it again; I received nothing. This was once a respectable business. It is now apparently a ripoff business.

Tip for consumers:
It would have been helpful to know that Yankee Publishing does not bother sending items one orders, nor do they send refund checks after charging one's credit card.

My husband, who is not computer-savvy, signed up for an Adobe service then realized it was unusable. We cancelled the service within seven days (they make it very difficult to cancel), but Adobe continued billing us. We tried contacting Adobe every way imaginable and finally had to cancel the credit card in order to stop getting billed. This corporation is apparently run by bithering idiot computers. It is a scam and I would never recommend anyone using their services. I do not recommend using any service where you cannot call and talk to a live human being who knows what they are doing.

I repeatedly order from Vermont Country Store. If there is anything wrong, they fix the problem immediately and you can have a great conversation while you're at it. I bought a ham that was supposed to weigh 8 to 9 pounds, and it weighed 7, so they gave me a refund for the pound I didn't get.

I had a poor experience with In the Company of Dogs years ago. I ordered an item, it didn't come for weeks and weeks, and eventually I called and cancelled the order. I decided to give them another try as they had an item I wanted. I ordered in early December 2017 and asked about shipping times; I was told 5 to 10 business days. After 10 business days had gone by, I called and was told the item was backordered. I then cancelled the order. I never received a confirmation of the order on email until on Sunday, 31 December, I received a shipping notice! The people who take the orders and who were supposed to cancel this order seem to live in another universe, one where simple information is not supplied and requests are not followed. There has to be a better place to order dog supplies.

Deception all the way. I thought I was purchasing muck shoes from a muck shoe company -- nowhere did it say factoryoutletstore.com until I got an email receipt. Thank you, google, for allowing these fraudsters to purchase the number one spot on your search engine. Shoes do not fit and they are immediately making it impossible to return them, though if I ship to a NY address I will have a tracking number and this will help with the disputation I have begun with my credit card company. I have learned from this expensive mistake and additionally will be contacting my state office of consumer affairs.
