I had a bad review where the reviewer posted a nonsense like she was abused. I flagged the review saying we never do such thing. To my surprise no response from them on this yet they marked the reviewer as verified.

Alright fine i asked 3 legitimate clients to post positive reviews on my profile.

Again surprise they showed me they had already posted the reviews but none of them was made live.

Now i have written them to delete my profile so that i don't have to deal with such BS. As per GDPR and other laws they are supposed to honor my request of deleting our profile from their website.

But i am sure they might have already written a nonsense term to not allow deletion of your business from their website.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid their website for taking reviews. They aren't 100% transparent and honest.

Its been more than 30 hours i have been writing emails to them requesting them to give me MySQL dumps so that i can shift the websites to some other hosting since they refuse to up the website. They say they are under DDOS attack.

When i said then why is your own website up and running just fine to this they started giving excuses that your website is under DDOS attack which i refuse to believe. Since all the websites on the reseller are very less traffic and very small in size.

They refuse to pick up the phone number i have been trying to catch hold of them.

Writing emails and pinging on chat only to hear excuse that they are trying.

I just need the data to get out of your hosting and you can keep trying forever.

At this moment all my clients have warned me to never host any website with me because these people kept my whole reseller account down for more than 31 hours at the time of writing this review and still no sign of the websites being up and running.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid them go for better hosts.

Best themes we could use for a long time as a developer. They do however have renewals and if you ask them to cancel subscription they do cancel it. However before applying next year's charge they do send emails. If you become lazy they however do not refund as given clearly in their terms and conditions. So do cancel. They do adhere to EU and USA laws and also do not store any personal information. Any information is stored by payment gateways like PayPal or FastSpring as per their gateway laws.

Lastly check their support forum and ping them on forum for any issues and get it resolved within 8 hours.

Hi,

This is to let everyone know if you are a seller just beware they just allow any fraudulent card owner to purchase your item and then issue refund.

So in a month there were only 4 sales and all 4 were refunded.

Horrible and useless management i would say. Why do you bother to deduct 70% if you cannot take care of these issues.

Also they deduct a tax of additional 15%.

So basically you end up getting only 50% of each sale but that too 99% of the times is given away for free as they keep on refunding their clients.

Absolutely TERRIBLE AND USELESS COMPANY!

Okay so I had a user account for close to 3 years. One fine day one customer places a dispute against us saying we didn't work as she desired. We showed all proof. At the most Elance could have refunded the money.

No what they did was terrible and hard to believe.

They asked us to complete the pending stuff (which we said was extra and not in job scope). They said some bonus was paid to us (for different stuff and not this) and hence you have to complete the job now and they also suspended us from accepting any further jobs.

Fine working hard within 3 days we did complete what was pending. Client happy. She went away with her project. Now here comes the trouble. We now asked them to restore our account. They simply refused and said our behaviour had problems and this is not the way to treat a customer.

We simply don't understand having worked 3 years with more than 200,000 USD business and over 300 positive reviews and only 1-2 negative reviews how come we had behaviour problems all of a sudden. And also why not have the dispute process properly complete and why intervene in between and suspend our account.

I thought dispute process was real and Elance is only a third party. But now you sound more of a biased business.

Alright so our profile now closed our regular customers we shifted to a newly formed Elance account.

We initially just accepted only their work. But as work kept on flowing in and reviews and earnings increased we got more new clients and then again we started bidding. Our profile became again as awesome as the previous one in 2 years and we were starting to think we can rely on Elance now.

Sorry here comes the bummer! We did 1 job 3 months back for which the client chargeback and Elance sent us message that we have to refund back $1500.

But hey Elance.com has Escrow system and you are supposed to protect us from all this. But they simply put the charge on us and said this job doesn't qualify for Escrow protection. In normal circumstances any freelance is protected for upto $2500.

But what is normal? Working for 1 month, getting paid and reviewed and then Elance won't protect is it normal?

Again account gets closed!

Long story Short: Avoid them if you can and have other options. Never ever rely your business on Elance.com
