After forced business closures during the pandemic, and a struggle to get afloat again, I was shocked to logon to my account at Creative Market to discover they had stolen my entire account balance. With zero notifaction or communication, they had introduced 'customer inactivity fees', to steal $4 USD each month from my account balance until there was nothing left. These were not in the terms I agreed to, however their site states that they can change terms whenever they like without notifying customers. This term is illegal, but they don't seem to care. Absolutely disgusting and predatory behaviour. Will not use again
What happened to Kreative Market? Were they captured by bandits?
They steal money from the authors, raise the commission to 50%. My account as both a seller and a regular buyer was shut down after taking over $13,000. I will go to court. This company is a scammer! Do not try to buy or sell anything there.
I tried to have my account deleted. They refused and only disabled it. Their excuse is that if you don't live in the EU or California, they don't have to delete your account even if you request it. Any company with this kind of mentality regarding privacy and personal data is extremely suspicious and should be avoided at ALL costs. I started looking at legal appeals as this is unacceptable.
They recently have reduced the cookie window from 1 year to 30 day... poor judgement from a poor customer team. Results. Well you don't need to think a lot, artists will jump out. Results will decline. Even more. The customer team rip off partner commissions for their own benefit as the conflict of interest dont end here, even their own team has stores selling product, and the result of that is that you see now in front landing page their own shop!
Lots of trouble purchasing a single product from them. After 24 hours no response. As soon as they got my money I could no longer get into my account.
Update, after a few days I was able to reach someone and they fixed everything to my satisfaction. So average rating for the service but the content I purchased was exactly what I wanted.
Creative Market is a business that has digital products you can download -- especially graphics & fonts. They used to give 6 free goods every Monday via email that were for personal or commercial use. Now they are just personal use & they want you to pay $9.95/month to get the "Drops" they call them all at once. However, even if you pay the Drops are for personal use only. I have a graphics design business (store). I could possible use mockups for personal use, but there's no use in personal use otherwise if you have a business. You can only get commercial goods full price it seems. At least, they don't seem to have many sales.
This site has digital purchases for creative artists and designers--or people like me who want fonts and images. I signed up because you can get 6 Free Goods a week. I mostly download free fonts--usually handdrawn--and jpg or png files. There are also brushes and stuff for Adobe Illustrator and instagram themes and mockups which I don't use. Everything downloads fine. And, it's nice to get free stuff. Most come with a license to use it commercially up to 50 or 100 times. Some of the free stuff have unlimited commercial licenses which is great.
They have no systems in place to notify if credit card fails so you can lose all the points you have saved. They basically stole all my money. They charge two days in a row and then delete your subscription and points. And they don't even notify you that there is a problem. Then they refuse to rectify the situation.
If you join the cheap excuse of a membership and cancel they don't let you keep the credits you paid for. Most companies let you keep it or let you hold onto them till at least till the end of the year. Very predatory practice. I would not recommend going through them at all.
What is going on with CM? They removed the community where we could discuss all the 'news' and experiences with the other shop owners. They delete all negative comments on Instagram, not giving them the opportunity to speak out. They cut the payment for shop owners by up to 50%, referring to the fact that other marketplaces charge more. BUT THIS IS NOT TRUE. Bugs on the site are not fixed for WEEKS. It is impossible to find both new products and popular ones, because the feed simply stopped updating. I'm just in shock. I have never experienced such a terrible attitude before. Creative Market was a great company, but what is happening now is a SHAME.
I can login to Creative Market fine through Facebook, so you think I would be able to access my settings, but no, for whatever reason I need to authorise my device. The problem? My account has an old email address logged I do not have access to. So I can't authorise my device or change my settings. Therefore, I cannot cancel my subscription. Creative Market say they cannot change my email address in the backend so what the hell am I supposed to do? It's rubbish.
Stuck in a perpetual loop. Can login, but can't access settings or update my email address. IT IS SO STUPID.
I have been buying items from Creative Market for years. Their new subscription is AWFUL.
A) They have raised all the prices for all products, so that "20 % discount off all products" is not a f*cking discount
B) Their "drop" is a bunch of stuff that you may or may not want. Who wants exactly the same things as everyone else? I spend HOURS deciding which files I'll buy. I don't want a bunch of random crap junking up my computer. They don't even give you the option to selectively download what you want from their silly drop. It just downloads a GIGANTIC zip file and then my internet and laptop wouldn't work properly for nearly an hour. IT SUCKS.
I will be doing absolutely everything I can to purchase my clip art from other sites.
What a disappointing change.
I recently bought a product, the description wasa ok but the images were showing totally different product. My purchase was worthless and the support used the trick that the product is not broken ( it is digital product) and did not issues a refund.
I signed in under my business e-mail for an account to get fonts for my business because I couldn't make a purchase without an account. I made two attempts at buying the fonts and the payment wouldn't go through. So I made another account in my personal name in case it was the name not matching the cards. It still gave the same error. Then I checked the bank and I was STILL charged even though the fonts were never checked out of the cart nor were on either profile. I attempted to contact customer service and an automatic e-mail told me their customer service only ran on business days and it would be at least three days for a reply. I got my bank to handle the charges and I went to deactivate my accounts and then on top of that I had to confirm my password and device, which I did. It gave an error message I couldn't deactivate my account. I got my money back but I will not use them again ever.
Just wasted $9 buying an invitation that I cannot edit. Looked great but useless for me. Set up so it is easy to take your money but you can't actually use the invitation.
Awesome site, and experience all the way around. I'm a happy customer and a shop owner as well. The site is my go-to site for all my digital graphics, templates, stock photo's, vectors, etc. Best thing about Creative Market is the staffer support, top notch level of talent, and great community all together. Love this one of a kind digital marketplace. They also really listen to the community, and are constantly making it even better (as if that were possible).
I purchased a $39 product on Creative Market website (creativemarket.com) and some of the links did not work. I contacted the Shop Owner (the product seller) and Creative Market customer support. The shop owner told me to figure out why the links were not working. I emailed Creative Market three times and each time my support ticket was marked as "Solved" shortly after being submitted, although they never responded. This site seems to be just a hosting site for sellers and there is NO accountability. The sellers get to sell products that don't work and not have to answer to anyone. Great place for sellers but terrible for buyers.
The worst services I have ever subscribed.
I first subscribed for the Creative Market Pro account. Not only it has limited and few assets to pick from. You can't even access those files you "purchase" after the subscription is over.
This service is a complete joke and not to mention it takes them days to get back to your question.
Imagine Adobe Illustrator locked your files that you have created from Adobe after you stop subscribing to them. What a joke...
I open a shop and upload 16 files to my products. After 3 days, I discovered 4 of my products on the free web resources. Despite the fact that none of my products were sold. Files were certainly stolen from the web server’s (with the same title, description and requirements). The main question is who is guilty (administrator or a specific employee)? If I only were knew the results of my decision to start selling on “Creative market” I would say: Run, run and don’t look back.

This is to let everyone know if you are a seller just beware they just allow any fraudulent card owner to purchase your item and then issue refund.
So in a month there were only 4 sales and all 4 were refunded.
Horrible and useless management i would say. Why do you bother to deduct 70% if you cannot take care of these issues.
Also they deduct a tax of additional 15%.
So basically you end up getting only 50% of each sale but that too 99% of the times is given away for free as they keep on refunding their clients.
Absolutely TERRIBLE AND USELESS COMPANY!
Scammers using another name along side this one okayseasons Chinese crap item for good money do not buy anything off both these companys RIP offs scammers
