I must admit that I had my reservations when I learned that Baggage.com used DHL as their courier service. DHL has poor reviews and my experience with their courier services has always been extremely poor. Well, my luggage arrived on time and I was quite impressed! I thought - maybe I am wrong. Maybe DHL's service is better when paired with another company- My baggage.com. Well surprise surprise! My brand new luggage arrived cracked with a large gaping whole in it and the wheel was broken.
I looked forward to using that luggage this week and now I can't use it to transport my clothes in this wet rainy weather in the U.K. I am without a suitcase this week and can't afford to buy another.
I just read other reviews on here to see if my experience was an anomaly. Sure enough others on trustpilot have had the same experience of damaged luggage, wheels broken, cracked luggage. The responses from Mybaggage.com on trust pilot claim "these are rare occurrences but I see that your luggage arrived on time." Dear My Baggage.com, your weakest link is DHL. It was the last thing that I needed this week after relocating to the U.K and trying to get myself settled.I am hoping nothing fell out of that gaping hole in my suitcase.
I had other suitcases to transport, but this time from Canada, and I looked forward to booking with mybaggage.com a third time but I'd be foolish to book with them again knowing that the company they use are careless with items. It's a blessing that I saw my damaged items before pulling the trigger this week to ship the rest of my stuff. I wish I could post of a picture of my luggage. Never seen anything like this in my life
*update their policies do not cover Damaged luggage. As a so called good gesture they offered me £23 pounds as compensation." It was not enough to purchase a new suitcase obviously. My other nice suitcase was all scratched up as well. Purchased new set and will not recommend this company to anyone!
