I needed to update my resume and found ResumeNow online. I found the service to be quite easy to use and felt the price for this service was reasonable. However, what I presumed was a one-time charge for services rendered became a monthly service fee that I had never agreed to pay? ResumeNow's customer service response to me noted their service is standardly setup as a 14-day trial, which if not cancelled after 14 days becomes a monthly fee of $23.85. I did not catch this repeat billing for 5 months and they are unwilling to refund any of the fees paid. I've been in business for many years and I pay attention to things like this when purchasing a product online, so I'm very frustrated to have been "burnt" by this organization who pulled one over on me! I've read a few other comments regarding the same billing practice, so I'd highly suggest using another Resume website, as there are plenty to choose from!

Tip for consumers:
I suggest using another site who offers a clear and concise check-out process!

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused; Darrel, we'd love to take this chance to explain some information about our services.

When users sign up for our 14-day trial, they're automatically enrolled in our monthly subscription service, which we let them know at this stage that they may cancel at any time. Also, when we request the credit card information, we clearly explain that unless the user self-cancels or requests cancellation before the end of the trial, they authorize us to charge the credit card on file every four weeks at the regular price of the subscription.

As for the refund policy, we do not process any refunds on recurring charges as stated on our Terms and Conditions page. Our policy is as follows; we offer a 100% money-back guarantee; if you are not satisfied with the result during the first 14-days, however, we do not process any refunds once those days are up. For more information, please refer to our Term and Conditions page: https://www.resume-now.com/terms-of-use.

We hope that this information helps clear things up. If you need help in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us directly, as we'll be pleased to assist you personally with anything you need.

I've paid $58 per month for a Husband/Wife cancer policy that I purchased 10 years ago. Manhattan Life did not write this policy but they acquired the original writing carrier. I recently was diagnosed with a relatively minor form of skin cancer, which was removed by a physician using the Moh's surgical procedure. I filed a claim under my Manhattan Life critical illness policy and expected to receive a 25% of face value benefit for what's considered "carcinoma in situ". However, my claim was denied because of a contractual clause that says the cancer must be invasive. In other words, had a let the skin cancer grow and spread, then the policy would have paid a benefit. I know there are better policies than this one in the market, so I'd suggest looking at companies other than Manhattan Life!

Tip for consumers:
Check out multiple insurance company's before purchasing a policy
