When placing my order for an in-stock frame and readers, the website estimated 3 days for production. After placing the order, my order page estimated 3 business days. Fine. After the 3rd business day, the order page estimated 6 business days. Okay….fine. On business day 9, it still shows in production. Not okay!
I started trying to reach out to speak to someone, and the phone number gives you automated responses (even though they tout having live agents available from 7:00 AM until Midnight) to use their virtual assistant on their site. I pushed every button on the phone to bypass and reach a live agent, but to no avail. So, after going to the virtual assistant, it took several minutes to get connected to a live agent. Kate Moore was the live agent, and she was very nice, apologetic, and helpful. She's the only bright spot in this ordeal!
I could have ordered from a local Optometrist for less money and received my glasses in 7 Business Days. But, the idea of 2 day shipping (now their website estimates 3-5 business days for express shipping) and 3 production days is why I ultimately chose GlassesUSA. Now, I have to go to my meetings without the $370 glasses that I ordered! I am VERY disappointed and will probably return these regardless of how happy I am with the product.
