Dr Mandanipour is a very knowledgeable and dictated Doctor and the ease of getting the apointment with ZOC DOC wade it a much more pleasant experience.

Dr. Jaime Mercado was listed as a provider under my Blue Cross plan. I had to change Obgyn's because the type of Blue Cross plan I was on changed and my previous Doctor was not on the new plan. The first time I looked at ZocDoc, you had a Doctor on their listed for Plantation, I made an appt. On-line. They called me and said there was a mistake on ZocDoc and it would be corrected, they did not take my plan. You guys corrected it and for the error apologized and gave me a $5 amazon gift card. Doctor #2 was scheduled. Called the office said I wanted to make sure he is on my plan before I have my records transferred. They said yes and had my records transferred and I saw the Doctor for my Annual Obgyn visit, which after Obama care went in to practice is suppose to be free. The Docor recommended I have some kind of in office screening test for Ovarian Cancer and to make a separate appointment. I made it for a week later. In the meantime, I called the Doctor's office and said, "Before I have this test done, I want to make sure of what the cost is". She called me back and said it was just a $50 co-pay. I receive a bill from them a few weeks later. They take the $50 co-pay and apply it to my annual visit, charge me for the balance of the visit, plus the balance of what the Insurance did not cover on the test. The bill was for $229.45. I called them and inquired and they directed me to Blue Cross. Blue Cross informed me that Dr. Mercado was out of network. I called the office back and they were perplexed. Right now they are trying to determine what to do in their billing Department to get this straightened out. As of this time, you still show Dr. Jaime Mercado listed as in In Network provider on my plan. I am disgusted with Both ZocDoc and the Doctor's office for not having a clue. Now I have to find another whole new Doctor. You can bet, I won't be using ZocDoc.
It's very good idea to book appointment using ZocDoc.
I save a lot of time using this way.
I love this site because it lets me know when my appointments are without depending on my calendar.

When I first found ZocDoc on a websearch, I wasn't overly optimistic, but I wasn't cynical either. I just figured it was another referral service.
Much to my surprise, ZocDoc referred me to a doctor I wish I could have found 40 years ago! Seriously! I hit the jackpot -- finally! And I hope this doctor stays in practice for many years to come. I've had many doctors in my life, and this one is head and shoulders above the rest -- professional, incredibly intelligent (yet able to communicate complex explanations with easily understood analogies) He takes his time with each patient and makes thorough notes. By my second appointment, he'd already completed a LOT of paperwork and research on my behalf. I have truly been astonished at what a tremendous doctor this guy is -- and the minute the subject of doctors comes up, I find myself saying ---" Oh my god -- you HAVE to switch to my doctor! He is phenomenal!"
It sounds like I'm a paid commercial or something, but this is a genuine, sincere appraisal of a great doctor that I found courtesy of ZOCDOC! Whodathunk?
From the second I filled out the online info, everything fell into place. My appointment was confirmed --- And on the day before my appointment, I received a reminder call, a reminder text AND a reminder email! How cool is that? My appointment the next day was timely and I knew in the first 20 minutes that I now have a health professional who is a doctor for all the RIGHT reasons! And he truly cares about individual patients! I have been brought into his practice as a patient, and I have received the best care I could have imagined.
I'm grateful to ZocDoc for their referral to my doctor --- and am 100% satisfied with every aspect of his service. And all of my billing, and follow-up care has been effortless. My follow-up appointment delivered the same degree of professional service. If this is the caliber of doctors and professionals that ZocDoc recommends to the public, they will become a leader in this area.
I've NEVER been able to find this level of medical care ANYWHERE ELSE!

Awesome site, was able to did doctors for all of my needs and covered by my insurance.
Able to see a specialist within in days. Typically I'd have to wait weeks for an appointment.
It is great to make an appointment on line, any time without waiting for office to open.
The appointment was rescheduled for a later time so my wife could be there. The doctor was GREAT and will be my treating ENT physician in the future.
I will never use ZocDoc again! I booked an appointment for 4:00, seeing that this was the latest appointment offered. I received a confirmation email for this time. After I booked my appointment, I noticed a 4:15 time slot was open, which was better for me because I wouldn't have had to leave work early to get there. So I cancelled my 4:00 appointment (and subsequently received a cancellation confirmation email) and rescheduled for the 4:15 appointment. Again, I received a confirmation email about my 4:15 appointment time. That was the last email I received from ZocDoc. When I went to the office, the receptionist asked me if I had an appointment, and I told her I booked a 4:15 appointment on ZocDoc. She stated that she did not see anything about me having an appointment AT ALL! I then showed her the VERY LAST email I received from ZocDoc confirming my 4:15 appointment. She looked again, and said that the 4:00 appointment showed up as cancelled, rescheduled for 4:15, then cancelled again for the 4:15 appointment. I never received any email stating that the 4:15 appointment was cancelled, because I DID NOT CANCEL IT! It was cancelled without my knowledge, and I did not receive an email stating it was cancelled. Needless to say, I was very upset. The doctor was so booked up that they couldn't even squeeze me in. I have symptoms of a urinary tract infection (which, if you have ever had one, you know how excruciating they are) but I now have to wait until tomorrow to walk in and see if they could squeeze me in because they are booked up for tomorrow. So... one wasted trip, a night of urinary pain ahead of me, and another possible wasted trip tomorrow is all I got from using ZocDoc.
I now have a great lineup of doctors that are kind and truly amazing. I appreciate Zoc Doc so much!

Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
