ZocDoc is convenient and easy to use! Love the reminders and having everything in one place.
It works well and is easy to use. I found the doctor I needed in minutes.
I found a dentist in my area and am very pleased with him and his staff.
Worked great for me. Much easier than calling the office. Plus, can make the appointment 24/7.
ZocDoc is great in helping you locate a doctor when you don't know where to begin.
It is easy to use and makes the check in at the doctor's office a breeze.
It has not worked for me twice, I have to go sign in to see Doc.
This works fine and serves a purpose. However, it really isn't a service that I need
Very useful. Have found some great doctors and got the real scoop on some I wasn't sure about.
Very easy site. Great for those who don't want to wait on the phone for an appt.
Convenient to book any time of the day without wasting time being put on hold!
Never a hassle to book an appointment, removes the most difficult parts of the experience.
So easy to use and and at such a critical time - when people need care.
The easiest way to schedule an appointment. No waiting on the phone for doctors scheduling.
My first visit went well. I am waiting to go for a 2nd appt. Soon. I will keep you posted.
On or about November 15,2015 I was turned away from service by a provider listed in the Healthfirst Online Provider Services Manual as an approved healthcare provider.
The aborted visit to Dr. Coscia's office was caused primarily by a lack of
Communication by his staff with me prior to my visiting his office in
Lynbrook. I had taken the time to pre-register online through your service
And provided them with all of my insurance information. It was only after
My arrival at their office that I was informed that the information had
Come up on their system as "No Coverage". My appointment was cancelled on
The spot and I was asked to contact my carrier to determine the nature of
The problem and to then rebook the appointment with them.
In all fairness I was treated courteously by the staff person, Chris,
However no attempt was made by them to verify directly with the health care
Provider. I called Healthfirst from their lobby and was informed that a new
Number had been assigned to me because I had attain ed the age of 65 and it
Caused a change in my status with them. It turns out that Dr. Coscia is not
A network provider under my current plan with Healthfirst (... even
Though I got his name from their website) and had he seen me it would have
Caused significant billing issues. In addition, had I actually been able to
Use his services I would have had to wait until December 3rd or 4th for the
Next available appointment.
I was able through your services to book an appointment for the following day with a
Dentist who actually is in my network even though it required me to travel
Significantly further. I bear no ill will toward Dr. Coscia's office but
Simply wish that they had communicated with me sooner rather than waiting
For me to show up at their office and refuse me service.
Hi Gordon,
Thanks for sharing your story! Insurance can be so tricky! We are so sorry you had such back and forth with that appointment. We are glad you were able to find a doctor with your current plan. Give us a call if you ever need help doing a search!

Since the new pricing model, $35 per new patient booking (finder's fee) and some detail on this first as a provider you set up a monthly budget of say $300 and if a patient books that $35 is subtracted from your budget until your budget is down to $0 at which point you will no longer be found on Zocdoc until your budget is replenished the next month... so this model is doing a huge disservice to both provider and patient.
Patients may not see the most seasoned and well reviewed doctors on the site as their monthly allotted budget burns quicker than those with poorer reviewed ones leaving patients to only choose from, well, the rest. Also, as a patient if you made an error in booking, like let's say you selected the wrong plan and you're doctor doesn't accept it... the doctor will not be as inclined to clarify your error (due to booking fees and budget restraints mentioned above) prior to treatment leaving you susceptible to out of network charges, that could be financially devastating. After all, you the patient chose the insurance.
Also, doctors are now choosing not to advertise certain insurance plans as their finder's fee eats well into the total cost of the reimbursement. Most patient's only see a provider when needed, so doctor's will do away with lower paying insurer's from the site as taking on someone with say GHI or Emblemhealth just isn't worth it when your total reimbursement is $45 and you have to pay zocdoc back the $35 finder's fee. And, yes, they say you establish a patient bond and you will receive money over the lifetime of the patient's visits upon your practice, well patient's just come when they really, REALLY have to. Don't hold your breath for that doctor-patient bond to pay off. So dropping certain plans from their site now is only logical.
And providers, you're getting the rawest of deals. If the patient cancels more than 24 hours after the booking, you get charged, regardless of the reason. Whether a patient has a gripe with you / your staff or is just acting juvenile in nature and is unknowing of the fees or has a bit of OCD with regards to technology or is even waiting to see if their condition disappears by the weekend and proceeds with a booking and cancels, you're paying for it. Still worth it? Their sales team says yes, many more practitioners are already saying no.
Zocdoc, you blew it!
Hello Kalumin,
We’d like to address your concerns and ensure you have an accurate understanding of how our platform works:
1. Providers are not required to set caps. In fact, the majority of Zocdoc providers participating in our new model have not set spend caps, thus they do not have a limit on the number of new patient bookings they may receive each month.
2. All providers must comply with our Community Standards which include maintaining an accurate, up-to-date list of in-network insurances their practice accepts on their Zocdoc profile at all times. Additionally, if a patient is booking out-of-network, our platform has warnings in place alerting them to that fact prior to booking.
3. Regarding the patient-provider bond, we find that Zocdoc users value the continuity of care. When rebooking in the same specialty, +70% choose to return to the same provider.
Please give us a call at (866) 962-3621 if you’d like to discuss or have any questions. - The Zocdoc Service Team
I really like to have the search by doctors name from the mobile app.
Great experience. I did not have to wait that long to see my doc.
Answer: Hello Mark. Zocdoc offers a closed-loop review system that allows patients to share their experiences after being seen for an appointment booked on Zocdoc. These reviews can be found on each individual provider's Zocdoc profile. You can search for a provider at https://www.zocdoc.com/. Please let us know if we can help you find the care that you need or if there is a different set of reviews that you are trying to access at this time. You can reach our service team at (855)962-3621.
Answer: Hi Sandra, we hope that you were able to get the care that you were looking for. At Zocdoc, we are not able to offer any medical advice or guidance so we recommend you contact your doctor directly if you need to ever verify they will be able to provide the treatment you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to the Zocdoc team at (855) 962-3621 or service@zocdoc.com if there is anything we can do to help you find the care that you need.
Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
Answer: Hi Amanda! That depends on the doctor's office! Every provider is different, so it would be best to get in touch with them about specific pricing information. Give us a call at 855-962-3621 if you have any other questions. In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Answer: Hi Mallory! Thanks for your question! You can see a provider's reviews by viewing the full profile and scrolling down.
