I do not like receiving "advertisements" from my dentist. An appointment reminder is fine, but the other "communications" are unnecessary, add to my already excessive incoming emails, and strike me as unprofessional. I also do not like the fact that I have to give you my personal information in order to give my opinion. Why is that necessary?
I'm pleased with this site. Being able to see what the doctor's availability is at the facility and bring able to book an appointment in under a couple of minutes is a great way to go in this day and age.
On the other side, it no doubt lightens the workload of the staff a bit as well.
This company is absolutely atrocious to work with for providers. I'm a provider & have wasted countless of hours dealing with this terrible company. They charge $70 per referral regardless of if the individual no shows, cancels, never responds to the provider, etc. if a client calls them, they proceed to start sending emails threatening & harassing providers over client REFERRALS that 99% of the time never even showed up for the appointment they requested for but Zocdoc still charged the provider for! Clients are allowed to get away with horrific treatment to providers (no shows, disrespect, false payment information, etc.) & ZocDoc also treats providers like complete crap. They make up random "policies" on a daily basis, never communicate them, then proceed to harass providers about it. They also allow no show clients to leave a review on your page if that client calls them to request it. They call themselves a "marketing" company but they literally try to control the provider's internal policies/procedures by threatening providers with being kicked off the site if they don't run their practice in the way ZocDoc tells them to(for example, they try to control & dictate to providers when they should send video links, when to collect consent forms -- they told us to collect the consent forms AFTER having the first appointment with the client, we told them no. No consent forms, no appointment --, etc.). I could literally go on & on & on. I have now started to put all my efforts in my own practices' marketing, SEO, campaigns, etc. & have started to slowly stop using their services. Providers beware!

I move around quite a bit, ZocDoc helps me to find physicians and other medical professionals quickly. I can also keep track of all of the doctors I've seen in the past.
Great service also, one time a new doctor canceled my appointment without letting me know and ZocDoc intervened. Great idea
This company is so shady that they can't even write up personal bogus reviews for their crappy doctors. I googled quite a few "glowing" patient reviews and found zoc doc was using the EXACT same wording for multiple doctors. That explains the positive 5 star reviews for quack doctors.

I was very satisfied with my first ZocDoc experience. It was a refreshing change to be able to see my doctor's available appointment times, and to then schedule the appointment at a convenient time for me. I also like the confirmation and follow up process to remind me of an upcoming appointment. My doctor is very good about staying on schedule, so the wait time is minimal. Overall, a very pleasant and professional way to meet with my doctor.
I needed to have a yearly exam to look for skin cancer immediately. Normally you have to wait a half a year for the Dr. I usually see. But since then he hired nurse practitioners. I used ZocDoc and selected an appointment that was confirmed immediately.
I went there because it advertised that it could help me find a mental health therapist that took my insurance. Guess what? The FIRST result of TWO, was WRONG! If I wanted to pay $300 out of pocket I wouldn't not have asked for a provider that accepted my insurance would I? So, I just wasted more of the time I didn't have on a crappy online system that lies. Also, do not try to contact them directly because what you get is a flipping address. You have to write a da*n letter to the people.
I love the convenience of finding a doctor and the ability appointments online late at night for the next morning. The only thing I have had trouble with is trying to make an appointment through ZocDoc that is not the doctor's next available day. I don't know if it's the interface or what but I can see the days available but no times except for the day of their next available appointment. For example, if I want to make an appointment for Tuesday but Monday is when the doctor has their next available appointment, I can scroll to Tuesday but no times or options to book an appointment show up. Again this is great for those moments when you realize you're sick or need a dentist & the office has closed. You can make an appointment and get confirmation without waiting until the next morning to find out if you have an appointment.
There have been a number of places that I have booked with ZocDoc that do not have the insurance info I entered, do not have the appointment I scheduled, or do not have the doctor with whom I scheduled it. A lot of doctors also complain about ZocDoc when I get there e.g. "I don't know why they do these things we don't take that insurance" of "we don't have any record of your appointment."
ZocDoc is a great idea but there are too many glitches for it to be reliable. I'm actually not using it anymore. Very disappointed because when I was first making my appointments I was like, this is great.

I didn't get the doctor i was seen and I left a review but zocdoc took down my review for my negative comment. Zocdoc is run by money-hungry people. The reviews are all 5 stars b/c the providers pay $3000 for their website.

Easy to make an appointment, found a doctor who was available that same day - Sunday! - whose office was not very far away. I was seen quickly, the doctor discussed options, got the prescriptions, and by next day was on the road to recovery.
Zocdoc is a very shady practice. They are about making money and I would not trust anything you see on their site, either as a provider or a consumer. I'm a provider and they charge me $60 for every patient that does not cancel within 24 hours of when they make an appointment, even if that appointment is a week later. When they sold this to me that told me about the 24 hours cancellation policy and it was inferred that this was 24 hours from the appointment time, as an practice would. Very very shady.

I went to new dentist found through ZocDoc. Insurance company was closed because of time zone difference (they were on central time, I live in pacific time). Dentist gave consultation and agreed that tooth could be pulled with no problem. I agreed to free x-rays and only $180 for tooth extraction. Paid the dentist and got service done. Insurance bill came and I found out that they still filed a claim for x-rays & the work done. I called insurance company and they said I should get a refund for the money I paid. Still waiting for refund, but not hopeful.

The MD was in the same room with me for maybe 5 minutes and did not do any kind of examination to determine the problem of strength in my leg. His office manager, however, said she would write up a report from his dictation and give it to me. After waiting 40 minutes I found out she left the office. No report given to me. No answer to my email to her. When I got her on the phone she apologized, said she never got my email and thought someone else was going to give me the report. I finally got it days after I was actually in the office.

All my life, the dentist office represented pain discomfort and stress. I have never in my lifetime walked into an office such as Agape Dentist and been treated as a long time friend. It's so pleasant and everything about Dr. Massabni's business is genuinely a fun experience. It sounds crazy but after some of the dentists I've been to and the treatment I've received this time I enjoy going to the dentist. I have so much confidence in her office.
Do not be deceived by all the positive reviews. Almost every physician has a rating of 4 or better. Zocdoc only allows positive reviews to be published. If you scrape the reviews and analyse them, 85% of reviews are five star reviews, obviously, this is misleading. Zocdoc is incredibly dishonest and is selling patients who need help as commodities to physcians. Zocdoc only cares about profits.

Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
