I personally really like this app bc i have no language barrier BUT wish there was more different language friendly for people whos first language isn't english. My parents dont use this app n other people i know dont bc of this reason. Also, when seeking for a specialist, it can be frustrating many times bc a lot of just MDs pop up when i had specifically chosen a specialist to get seen. I end up having to call many diff places bc choosing a specialist on this app doesnt seem to be helpful. Please make necessary adjustments then i def c this app blowing up to much more patients as well as providers in near future! Good luck & happy holidays!
I love using ZocDoc. I can find out information about the physician whose services I am seeking and fill out the paperwork online in advance when the appointment has been set. Such a wonderful, useful service!
Trying to match up with my doctors' times is grueling and anything. I know instantly their availability on Zocdoc. Online forms make sign in easy as well. Good recommendations and reviews in the doctors. I hate making phone calls and talking to people when I'm very busy (often happens with long work hours) so I'm all on board as far as zocdoc is concerned. Highly recommend.
Dr. Merola is a very caring and skilled physician. He has been my doctor for over 20 years. Always listens and takes his time with every visit. His wife Rosemary RN is a great partner for him. She is always there to help people as well, showing concern and assuring the workings of the office.
I found ZocDoc and was able to book an appointment late at night (which is when I generally have the time to do these things!) AND confirm that the doctor accepted my insurance (how awesome is that?!). ZD makes it so easy, and I will definitely use again... wish all my Dr's were signed up!
I've been using it the last 6 months or so, and it was quite convenient for finding a doctor, filling the papers before going, rescheduling and even managing when the doctor's office didn't do it well.
This site is an absolute SCAM for providers. Patients are allowed to literally go on their platform and book HUNDREDS of appointments, without vetting, and with zero intention of keeping the appointments, and the providers still have to pay for the booking. Literally, a bot could sign in and book thousands of appointments, and they have no way, and no interest in blocking those bookings, because they're raking in the cash. Patients continue to book, using insurances we do not accept, or book and then don't show up for the appointment, and we pay a patient acquisition fee for a patient that never walks in the door. This platform is absolutely horrible!
Zocdoc was good until last year when they became aggressively greedy. Physicians are unfairly charged for bookings, regardless of whether patients actually show up or not. I've had other physician friends suspect ZocDoc defends this as they come up with fake accounts and bots to make these appointments to dishonestly generate revenue. There is no way to dispute these bookings as they simply dont allow it. They simply didnt care if they charged you for fake bookings. We have since marketed in other ways that have generated more revenue and patients and way less frustration.
If you are a patient, please be aware that insurances are not verified and may be out of network. Zocdoc will still show you providers out of no network and even the "in network" insurances are not verified by them.
I came across the ZocDoc option while searching for a new general practitioner after my new insurance took effect. It made the hassle of calling a doctor's office to make an appointment unnecessary since ZocDoc offered all the available appointments hours with a range of dates to work around my schedule. On top of all this, ZocDoc made the registration task for my new doctor's office quick and simple by providing me the forms online. Never has an appointment been so easy to make, and never again will I call a doctor's office.
I think it's a very convenient site. I hate waiting to be seen by a doctor because I must first fill out all of those forms. I like I can do that ahead of time. I also like that I don't have to make any phone calls to book an appointment. The site finds which doctor accept my insurance and the times that are available for me to be seen.
ZocDoc provides an efficient method of choosing a doctor, without wading through referrals, online research and the dubious recommendations of friends of friends. The professional profiles and reviews by patients give a clear understanding of the credentials and the demeanor of every doctor so that one may choose in advance a doctor with whom one feels comfortable. Every doctor I have chosen through ZocDoc was a winner and will remain on my personal roster of specialists for future reference should need occur. I have also recommended these professionals to others and can say, "don't just take my word for it; look up his/her profile on ZocDoc."
I have been to Urgent Care facilities before in other area's. This one is the best I have been to. They are caring, efficient, I was in and out quickly. I did not feel that they were rushing me. All of my concerns were addressed. I will definitely go again. I was pleasantly surprised as to how nice everyone was. In the past i have been treated very rudely, at other facilities.
This is a basic tool. At the most superficial level, it is useful. But there needs to be a method of weeding out solicited reviews. More importantly, a searcher should be able to find a doctor based upon personal requirements. For example, I am searching for a GP who works with athletes a lot or who is an athlete him/herself. There are many quirks that I can't waste time with a regular GP on, and I would like a more specific method for searching for a better GP for my lifestyle. Also, one should be able to search based on religious affiliation or lack thereof. It's unnerving for an atheist to walk into a Dr's office and find religious icons everywhere. True story. It may not be a problem for some, but for me, a scientist shouldn't overtly be displaying such things. Searching by religious affiliation could prove helpful to some.
Have used this service twice. Both times it was not during regular office hours. And both times I received a call back from the physician's office the next business day. I found this to be a reliable service to use. Got appointments with 2 different physicians, both in a very timely manner. Both practitioners were competent and likeable. Absolutely loved the dermatologist and his office staff.
Great the first time... But not useful as a continuing app. I would love to see that change so I could add all of my doctors and lock them in using this app to schedule appointees and track progress etc.
It's not there.
If you want to find someone new it's great.
If you want to track or continue with a Dr it's not so good.
The worst staff I have ever seen in my life. Staff does not care if you are waiting there for hours.
I visited this office four times. Every time I have to wait for more than One and half hour. Very unprofessional way to conduct business. I left office last time without seeing doctor and waiting for more than an hour. No one cares,

My appointment was cancelled 3 times in a row. First time i got to know when i was at doctor's clinic. Why Zocdoc will show open slot if doctor is not available during that time.
I took day off from office and drove 10-15 miles for my appointment and got to know it is cancelled.
I will never recommend to any of my friend.

User-friendly site. Does not take a lot of time and you do not have to wait on hold till hell freezes over to get an appointment. There are two weaknesses about ZocDoc:
1. A lot of doctors in your area are not listed on ZocDoc
2. If you do find your doctor occasionally... actually more than occasionally... there are no appointments listed or available.
Hi Noel,
Thanks for your feedback! We are adding new doctors every day, so hopefully we will have more in your area soon! Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you ever need help doing a search.

I've tried to find doctor's on this site that accept Illinois medicaid. Whenever the list of doctor's are populated and you click on their profile, I get the "doctor is not in your network". What is the point of using the insurance type as part of the search when the information is inaccurate.
Hi Christine,
We are so sorry you are having some trouble finding doctors in your network. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 and we would be happy to walk you through a search. We definitely want to make sure you are finding doctors in-network with your insurance.

What I like about Zocdoc the most is the ability to choose from a plethora of doctors and their schedules. It is possible to use another website to get a doctor's review but not to get their availability. For me, calling and booking is pretty inefficient because I can't match the doctor's calendar and mine both at the same time- it is a hit or a miss kind of iterative process. Also, the option to pre-fill most of the doctor's forms through info that has been filled in once at Zocdoc makes it a breeze.
Answer: Hello Mark. Zocdoc offers a closed-loop review system that allows patients to share their experiences after being seen for an appointment booked on Zocdoc. These reviews can be found on each individual provider's Zocdoc profile. You can search for a provider at https://www.zocdoc.com/. Please let us know if we can help you find the care that you need or if there is a different set of reviews that you are trying to access at this time. You can reach our service team at (855)962-3621.
Answer: Hi Sandra, we hope that you were able to get the care that you were looking for. At Zocdoc, we are not able to offer any medical advice or guidance so we recommend you contact your doctor directly if you need to ever verify they will be able to provide the treatment you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to the Zocdoc team at (855) 962-3621 or service@zocdoc.com if there is anything we can do to help you find the care that you need.
Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
Answer: Hi Amanda! That depends on the doctor's office! Every provider is different, so it would be best to get in touch with them about specific pricing information. Give us a call at 855-962-3621 if you have any other questions. In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Answer: Hi Mallory! Thanks for your question! You can see a provider's reviews by viewing the full profile and scrolling down. All of the reviews will be listed there toward the left side of the page. Give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you are having any trouble! In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Zocdoc has a rating of 2.6 stars from 1,426 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Zocdoc most frequently mention doctors office, insurance company and new patient. Zocdoc ranks 1st among Doctor Reviews sites.
Hi Mandie. We're sorry to hear that Zocdoc has not added value to your practice by bringing you new patients. Zocdoc is a paid marketing platform for providers, and our pricing was determined by a valuation study conducted by a reputable third party for the types of services Zocdoc is providing to them. We have policies and features in place to reduce the number of appointments booked, no-shows and late appointment changes that patients make. Please give us a call at (866) 962-3621 or email us at Service@Zocdoc.com if you'd like to discuss this any further. - The Zocdoc Service Team
