Very pleased w/ ZocDoc. Dermatologist listed was close to where I live, was able to get an appointment in a couple of days, and liked person (PA) who listened to and observed my symptoms. Problems I was experiencing are/were resolved.
Not good. First doctor I went to using Zocdoc ended up being a walk-in clinic. I never actually saw a Doctor. No mention of either of these details on the site. The second doctor I went to ended up not taking my insurance, despite having entered that information in on the site when doing the search. Wasted more time, and they said at the office that they have contacted ZocDoc more than once to get the info. Corrected. I did get 2 calls from reps at ZocDoc to right the situation, but that has yet to happen. One rep. Helped by calling some of the doctors listed in my area to confirm that they took my insurance, but that list fell very short. I emailed her back to request more than the 2 she came up with, and have yet to hear back. The concept of ZocDoc is great, but if the information provided is not accurate, it's equivalent to the poor service the insurance companies already provide.
Horrible site! Great concept to book appointments online but sadly it's a scam. I booked both my Gyno and physical therapy visits through the site and under my health insurance coverage. Yesterday I found out the doctors were out of network so I am responsible for the fees. Anyone can advertise on their site and the positive reviews come from zocdoc themselves... anyone logical should stay away from this site!
It has been a hit or miss. It would be nice to have the doctors vetted more carefully so that they do not overbook. I have had a bad experience going to a GYN that 1. Shared an office with another doctor and did not even have a front desk rep. To greet and assist me. 2. waited 40 minutes and no one came to even help me. I left because i was on a lunch break appointment and could not wait any longer. I like to ease of ZocDoc itself but there needs to be stricter monitoring of the doctors listed so that they have genuine appointments and not queues. It would also be nice to be able to have a sorting option for availability on weekends and nights.

I am in love with ZocDoc from the very first moment of contact. I was searching for a new GP and Endochrinologist and this new vehicle POP UP. What an idea. It's better than Face Book for your health. I found the category of docs, read their stats and location and made my choice. Both docs that I decided to go with have been "Wonderful" understanding, compassionate docs. Finding the time slots from their schedule is a stroke of genius and putting your name in the blanks. I am 100% satisfied. One thing here recently I've seen where you need to be careful on your end in putting the right category of docs under the correct heading. I didn't have that experience at first. Just be careful you have a gem.
Promptness of appointments is big plus. Hopefully, this will be the

The representative for this company was very sketchy. He came into and requested an interview with the doctor of our practice and became very angry when he was told no. He was rude and very inappropriate in front of patients. Our office will never use this company. If they can't hire professional people to represent them, why would we trust them with our patient information and schedule? Awful company.
The ZocDoc website makes it very easy to schedule in network appointments with doctors. Instead of calling insurance hotlines or taking business cards from your various appointments you can find a doctor who will take your insurance, at the time you want, in the location most convenient to you. If that were not already a time saver knowing first hand that ZocDoc customer service is committed to problem solving and a positive experience makes this service a no brainer.

We had a great experience with Zoc Doc. Our clinic has been in business for over 12 years and we were never told to only post positive reviews. I think any type of review online can be bias. You can't blame Zoc Doc for only posting positive ones. Usually most patients check multiple sites to see if the doctor they are looking to use has good reputation. Negative reviews could be posted by competitors and positive reviews could be posted by paid patients. So, the point is find out how long the doctor has been around and check out the practice for yourself if you want a real review. Is it busy? Do the patients look happy? Seeing is believing every time. We got a GREAT patient from Zoc Doc in the first week we signed up and the patient had such a great experience with us he posted his own review on a different website on us.
Zoc Doc is the best thing since sliced bread. It has never been so easy to find a doctor and book an appointment. I would recommend this site to everyone. It has all the information about the doctors and their staff and offices. Reviews from former patients. Its Great.
Ever since being signed up with ZocDoc, it's been very helpful in obtaining doctors. I like that I can choose a doctor anytime of the day. The pictures and bios help me to get some kind of feel if I want to make an appointment with that doctor. Having a selection of doctors at your fingertips to choose from is GREAT! My only problems are that sometimes the doctor is not available for day of confirmed appointment or doesn't accept my Health insurance as listed in-network. Also it's great to have what part of the body or area the doctor specializes in. Once a doctor only specialized on a specific part of the body which I wasn't seeking, so I wasted an entire day planning around that visit. I think also, it's probably good to ask customers, just to call the doctor's office and double check that they are available, take their insurance, and if they specialize in their area needing treatment.

Love ZocDoc, its easy to search by type of insurance or doctor specialty. The only thing I dont like is half of the doctors listed are interns (I assume thats based on insurance) and I've had quite a few doctor offices cancel on me.
This company charges doctor's offices $40 for every booking as soon as someone hits the schedule button. Patients can no show, reschedule again and again, and ultimately not pay for their appointment with the doctor, or perhaps the doctor doesn't take their insurance, and it doesn't matter: ZocDoc still charges the doctor $40, and absolutely is not interested in resolving any situation with the doctor.

I guess waiting is an issue which can be put aside as something that can't be controlled.
If the appointment time is 8:00 AM then there should be no excuse, unless and emergency occurs, that there should be a wait of no longer than 10 to 15 minutes. If the Physician is late on arrival, to the appointment, then there should be a clear explanation for the lateness of the physician. I'm sure they would not want their employees late.
Other than that, the physician was able to quickly diagnose the problem and present a cure.
Hopefully I will be able to secure another appointment with Dr. Liu.
I would honestly rate this with ZERO stars. They do not care about providers and will charge for patient referrals who are looking for a completely different service. They do not reimburse you. They often have the wrong patient insurance and will still let them book without a refund. It is a scam and a rip-off.

I've used and loved ZocDoc, as it's helped me find new medical professionals when I know nothing about an area.
However, I recently had a terrible experience with a medical clinic, and when I expressed my view, ZocDoc did not publish it because it "didn't meet their guidelines." That's okay, they have their policies, I understand. Until said medical clinic calls me and leaves messages asking why I submitted a negative review. I checked on ZocDoc... my review was not published. So how does this medical clinic know details of my review if it wasn't published? Something's fishy here.
So, ZocDoc is a helpful service, but if they are going to have strict guidelines about reviews, I don't appreciate them giving the medical clinic where I had a terrible experience my review and contact information so they can call me at my home and ask me to explain myself. Very uncomfortable experience.

Before I found ZocDoc, making an appointment with any kind of doctor in New York was insanely frustrating; most were fully booked for months, and when I did find one, I waited two hours for my appointment and ended up being an hour late for work. With ZocDoc, I can see immediately who is available, have been able to get appointments the next day, and have never waited more than 15 minutes for my appointment. It even shows more doctors accepting my insurance than my insurance's own website! The reviews help me to sort through doctors who might not be as responsive or who seem to be overbooked, so I generally have a positive experience. I've talked to friends who stumbled upon ZocDoc as well who were equally impressed - they too had been hunting for weeks for a new doctor, and were able to get an appointment within 10 minutes of going on the site. I would honestly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a doctor of any kind, as it makes the entire process as easy as it should be.
Made reservation, got confirmation. Got call soon after from the doctor claiming that they would not be able to honor it and maybe could do in a week. Basically, they use the site to troll for patients and then book when more convenient. In the meantime, I'm still in pain and was stuck for the weekend not having seen a doctor. Thanks a lot. Then, to add insult to injury, when I left feedback that the doctor cancelled my appointment, zoc doc called me to say "you cannot leave feedback for a doctor you didn't see" The irony of this was lost on them. So they hide negative reviews..

I have no quarrel with Zoc Doc as I have experienced it but I'm not sure what it does for me. I prefer to be in direct personal contact with my doctor when it's possible. Doing the preliminary paper work ahead of time is an advantage I appreciate. That's about all i have to say at this time.
This company executed a complete bait and switch on our office. We were billed several cycles without a set up that worked, they blamed their incompetence on my office staff. They promised an easy synch with our EMR and after days on the computer following their prompts, the set up was never completed. Their representative did not respond to our requests for assistance. The only thing they were consistent with was taking funds from my account. Then, they suggested that they have patients schedule blindly on a secondary schedule that WE would have to collate with our EMR. This would negate any call back or reminder services and make our staff have to schedule the visits anyway. What benefit is that? To date, they tell us that they cannot help us because they are in New York. Is there a rating less than one star?

Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
