Several times now I have tried to make an appointment, called the doctor's office and was told that Zocdoc wasn't working. I wanted to contact them, but they don't have a convenient way to do so. These doctors appear to have a lot of available slots, you make an appointment and then find out it's not working. The site has also become riddled with fake reviews, unfortunately. It would be nice if they made an effort to combat that and made sure that making appointments actually worked. It's great when you do get an appointment and it's not broken, but don't trust the reviews.
So far, I've used ZocDoc twice to schedule for appointments and the experience both went well. It's also nice that this website is like the "avvo.com" of doctors and your able to review as well as look at reviews of said doctors. The only "issue" I've had is that for one appointment, the doc's receptionist didn't accept the downloadable forms from ZocDoc and that I still had to fill in an application.
Zocdoc will show maybe 3 doctors who will accept medicaid that are 45+ minutes away or they're next availability is MONTHS from now. Unless you want to spend an arm and a leg for someone to help you with your medical issues. All of this when you can ask around your area and find a doctor who accepts your insurance. Zocdoc is for people who arent struggling in life. But if you are, the people behind that website don't give a damn about you
The problem with ZocDoc's patient reviews is that it only captures the experiences of patients who made an appointment, so if you have had a bad experience with a doctor when you hadn't used them to schedule, there's no way to reflect this.
I've been saying for years that the doctors should have a central database for patients. I did this several months ago so I don't remember a lot of details. Most doctors have the same information form and it is such a time waster to have to fill it out every doctor you go to see. I enjoyed filling out the application. It was nice that I was able to it at home on my own time.
I really love this new way of finding a doctor and making an appointment. I love how fast the company gets back to customers/patients when issues come up and the bonus of a Amazon gift card. The customer service with zocdoc is the best I've ever experienced compared to any company. Keep up the great work Guys!
I love the concept of ZocDoc. However, I have attempted to make an appointment through ZocDoc Dr. Scott Caesar twice with little with little success. The appointment dates and times and sites do not coincide with schedule. ZocDoc website verifies the appointment as being made, but I will then receive a call from the doctors office stating that the appointment site and time are wrong on the website and would I like to change my appointment. Again, the convenience of making an appointment on ZocDoc would be great if it only worked properly.
I would like to save other patients the trouble of picking this doctor for a primary. They do NOT care for the patient and the issues they are facing. Patient care is basically non existent. My mom has been going there for a while and her issue has not been treated. Nor was the proper tests done to find the root cause. She finally went to a specialist. That she found herself from the insurance and they found what is causing her pain. Save yourself and your loved ones by staying clear of. Dr. Robert Ferron in Valley Stream, NY.
Hi Linda, I am so sorry to hear that your mother had a poor experience with this provider. Really useful to already know if MDs take my insurance. And then I can book appointment online at my convenience (don't need to remember to call during office hours). I tried a brand new opthamologist via this service when I had an eye injury and was able to get in quickly to a good doctor. Very happy.
Wish I could give them 0 stars. I am in the medical industry and my medical office has subscribed to the zocdoc service. Was very overpriced, invasive and only received 1 patient in 4 months. The sales rep was beyond rude. After I told him we were no longer interested in their services, he called me back and left a voicemail yelling obscenities at me. Do no give them your business
Great customer service. Convenient. I would recommend calling the doctor you made an appt. With to make sure everything went through--I had an experience where there was a lag in updating available times online to see a specific Dr. and had to reschedule. Customer rep handled everything very well though
I recently found myself surfing the net for local physicians when I stumbled upon ZocDoc. I was first impressed by the ease of finding physicians by location, specialty and accepted insurance plans. I was further drawn by online appointment scheduling instead of the usual, "What date works for you? I'm sorry, we don't have any availability that day. Is there another day that works?" The final hook was the online medical questionnaire which syncs to all physicians in the network. My records were immediately sent to the physicians with whom I was scheduled. I received an email confirmation from ZocDoc for my appointments (I made two that day). I received an additional email from ZocDoc when one appointment was rescheduled, making sure there were no hiccups in the process, and the issue was resolved immediately. I am thrilled with my new physicians and have recommended ZocDoc to numerous people. If you want to save yourself time and headaches, give it a try!
Almost every time I've booked with ZocDoc, they have appointment times available that aren't actually accurate to what the office/doctor's hours are. The offices usually have to call me personally to reschedule. There has also been a few times where the doctors aren't actually covered under my insurance or there are extra charges. However, it isn't all bad. I have been able to look for doctors without having to hunt through multiple sites.

Good site. But their insurance information is very wrong most of the time. I cant tell how many times i have looked for a doctor and put in my plan, and it gives me a doctor that only has out of network with that plan. Zocdoc should only show doctors in network, and keep insurance information up to date.
Hi Matthew,
This should definitely have not been your experience using ZocDoc. Our doctors guarantee the information they list on our site is accurate, and we want to get to the bottom of this right away. Could you give us a call at (855) 962-3621? We would be happy to take a look at what is happening here.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

This company uses deceptive business practices to operate. They call physician offices pretending to need an appointment, and then they later do their business pitch to sign them up. I have seen this repeatedly--it is worse than trying to discontinue cable service or a credit card. Companies like this invariably fail because they are unable to succeed without deception. I would not trust this company to do anything regarding health. In fact, I wouldn't trust them to manage my plant-watering.
I went to Dr. Berg for an annual checkup and cleaning. The dental hygienist took x-rays and cleaned my teeth. When Dr. Berg came back to the room, the dental hygienist said something referring to the x-rays to the effect of, Did you see and "the numbers of four teeth"? He replied Yes. I was told I have four cavities. Very surprised as I have never had a cavity as an adult, I went for a second opinion. As it turns out, two other dentists confirmed that I do not have any cavities, let alone four.
Hi Andrea,
Thank you for sharing this feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with Dr. Berg and the hygienist. We created Zocdoc to be the beginning of a better healthcare experience so please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you find alternative care in the future. - The Zocdoc Service Team
I would be lost without ZocDoc! It automatically filters what is in my network as well as who is nearby. It also shows you tons of highly rated professionals. ZocDoc is a must-have for anyone living in the digital generation.
First time using ZocDoc and I absolutely loved it. Its real easy and fast to make your appointments. Also alerts you when your coming appointment is coming up. Gives you the option to fill all that paper work before you go in to your appointment! Recommend safe & secure.
ZocDoc is supposed to save you time-from filling out paperwork, this is a life saver. They are now making everything convenient for you, computer wise, its the way to go now. I was hesitant but now I really like it.
My experience has been very good with ZocDoc. I only wish more medical professionals used it. I also wish the reminders you get came a little closer to the actual appointment. I think it gives you an option to click to enable a calendar reminder, though, so not bad.
Answer: Hello Mark. Zocdoc offers a closed-loop review system that allows patients to share their experiences after being seen for an appointment booked on Zocdoc. These reviews can be found on each individual provider's Zocdoc profile. You can search for a provider at https://www.zocdoc.com/. Please let us know if we can help you find the care that you need or if there is a different set of reviews that you are trying to access at this time. You can reach our service team at (855)962-3621.
Answer: Hi Sandra, we hope that you were able to get the care that you were looking for. At Zocdoc, we are not able to offer any medical advice or guidance so we recommend you contact your doctor directly if you need to ever verify they will be able to provide the treatment you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to the Zocdoc team at (855) 962-3621 or service@zocdoc.com if there is anything we can do to help you find the care that you need.
Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
Answer: Hi Amanda! That depends on the doctor's office! Every provider is different, so it would be best to get in touch with them about specific pricing information. Give us a call at 855-962-3621 if you have any other questions. In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
Answer: Hi Mallory! Thanks for your question! You can see a provider's reviews by viewing the full profile and scrolling down. All of the reviews will be listed there toward the left side of the page. Give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you are having any trouble! In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
