I purchased a resume service for my husband for a re-write and to maximize his chances of being seen by an algorithm and humans.

Once we uploaded the resume, the number of jobs changed from several hundred to over nine thousand. For once, he had employers reaching out to him; real people, not bots, scammers, or recruiters.

We purchased the service on January 20th, as of two days ago, he is in an active talks with a potential employer. Pay was discussed and agreed upon. Waiting back on the background check.
Even if this job doesn't pan out, this is the positive sign we've been searching for an entire year with absolutely ZERO luck.

Thank goodness for this service. Might buy the LinkedIn profile overhaul service one day in the future.

The whole organization does great in terms of trying to satisfy the customer. You can notice that value, but the final result of the product is not so great. Scanning the finished job in their own platform under a different name and email will give a poor feedback even thought that is the product they delivered. Also this resume has not increased at all the amount of interviews I have had, and finally every time I read this and my previous resume I dont feel this is stronger or much more professional. This hasnt impressed anyone, not employers not me.

Signup and payment were easy enough, but this service promised a "perfect resume". What I received was basically the same resume with some intentional grammatical errors and amateurish formatting. When I asked questions of the writer, I received copy-paste responses. I do not plan on using the resume or the LinkedIn profile they created, so it was a complete waste of money.

I did not use zipjobs services and they refuse to refund me. They follow up with excuses on my refund. They suggest me using it later or for someone else. The support number is intentionally set up so no one answers you calls and it goes straight to voicemail. On phone with credit card company right now trying to dispute it. They have a number that rings 1-2 times and then a voicemail. This way they don't have to take angry customers call and screen who to call back.

I ordered a resume and gave thorough descriptions and job title. The matched writer took it upon herself to think she is more knowledgeable about my career field than I am. When i called customer service, i got a VERY rude associate that refused to listen and honestly did not care that the writer was going off on a tangent and did not read the material I sent. I called back to get another associate who was polite but said that I ordered the wrong resume option. This is NOT explained on their websire. It is a SCAM to get more money from you. If you are a teacher, do not use this company.

I went with Zipjobs because it was highly rated. I have no idea why. I purchased the middle range package (about $180) and got a resume and cover letter review. The resume came back within a couple of days. I was excited until I opened it and saw why.

It was clear from the first moment that the "resume expert" did nothing but feed my old resume into an algorithm that spit out something canned. It was loaded with grammatical and spelling errors. Even worse, my most relevant experience was relegated to "other experience", completely degrading any value I offered. The summary they gave was completely fabricated and didn't match my resume at all. I'm not even 100% sure I dealt with anything other than a computer.

The only good thing I got was the resume template they used reads easier into ATS systems so when I upload it, the system actually reads and separates things out pretty well. But I paid 180 bucks for that.

I can see that people looking for basic, entry level jobs will probably have success using this company. Outside of that, don't bother. I wasted money, which bothers me.
