This was my first time using the service and I was a little wary. But Thomas was very courteous and efficient, and it was nice to already know ahead of time the cost of service, combined with the convenience of having it done at your home. I've already recommended to a couple of family members and I plan on using this service for any future auto repair needs.
I bought their service from shift.com, turn out its the biggest disaster of my life. My car is a porsche boxter, the mechanic is so unprofessional, he did not have the tools to set my car computer nor to measure the oil limit. It costed me 2000 to repair, and when I asked a refund (only refund of my package not compensation of repair), they gave whatever excuses you can think of to dodge. What a trash company, do not ever ever ever buy their service.
YourMechanic was so convenient for me! I had an oil change right outside of my apartment so I didn't have to drive to any shop and wait for their service. Usually I have to wait 30 minutes to an hour just to get my oil changed, but the mechanic came on time and fixed it with no problem! Definitely would recommend and I'll be using their services in the future.
They do not know how their computer system. And they want to charge twice the amount for parts. And the website is vary misleading. You can get the parts cheap with an auto parts store than these idiots.
First experience. Mechanic's first available appointment was a week out; I made the appointment, took the day off from work, and figured out how to go without transportation until he could make the repair.
Thirty minutes... THIRTY minutes before my appointment the mechanic, Adam Olsen, canceled my appointment and now wants me to reschedule in two weeks. Am I supposed to go without a vehicle for three weeks? Who's paying for my lost time today to take off from work? I'm not able to reach any customer service person or the mechanic.
Completely unhappy and unsatisfied. Your service is worthless without the people you hire showing up when they are supposed to. Honor your commitments.

Pete arrived30mins before scheduled time. He explained everything in great detail. Was very professional, literally has a mobile mechanic shop! $70.00 was my charge want to know what service was done for $70.00? They checked my battery. My car was being looked at because it shut off on me while driving. So i call this company to look at it the next day when they came it started so in the 15 minutes he was there and didn't find what was wrong. So now i have to pay for a real mechanic to figure out what was wrong with my car and why it randomly shut off no fluid checks nothing. I would recommend your go somewherebelse to get tour car looked at or you will be paying twice!

A diagnostic inspection is highly recommended if you are not sure what is wrong with your vehicle and a technician will come out to assess the situation and provide recommendations on follow-up repairs. Even though the dispatched technician will use his experience in diagnosing the vehicle, it would not be possible to duplicate the issue if the problems were not present during the time of the scheduled visit. I tried this for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Not only was it a convenient way to have my car serviced, at home, it was also the best priced. The mechanic, Luke, was knowledgeable, pleasant, and helpful. I will continue to use this service for all of our vehicles.
STAY FAR FAR AWAY! Unless you want to waste all of your time waiting on a tech. Good in theory bad in practice. Waited in an empty parking lot for over 45 minutes past the time I scheduled for my appointment. What a joke.
So I start filling out all the information to get my price estimates until til I get the "We need your license plate number for an accurate estimate" Thats a load of crappolla! Your might need that info if your planning on selling my information to some third party... If you had asked for my vin number to give an accurate estimate that would have been a truthful statement and request. Beware of a company that starts out already lying to you!

I. Called and had one of these so called mechanics fix my ball joint one side, was going to take 2 hours at the most. This guy that has 9 years experience didn't have the tool to do it, came back the next day, after I called the company because, this guy said he is going to order the tool and come back Monday… we'll that's not what the website said. A**hole came back and put it together or fixed it, come to find out this POS broke off two bolts and put it together… not knowing what this a***hole did, the tire came of thank god my kids wasn't in the car, so had it fixed and towed to someone that has a brain, told me he broke these bolts off…so of course this company isn't going to pay for it.,,, Claud 9 years experience could of killed my family's
Improperly installed brake pads (2 inbound pads on one side) caused $1,500 of brake system damage. They refused to even refund me the $374 they charged for the faulty brake job. Their customer service is the worst.
They are completely fraudulent. They steal from people through deceitful ways. They charge you when they know they can't do the job and this is a pattern they use. They need to be exposed and held accountable for their mischievous activities of stealing from people.
I tried to call to get a quote on my car and left a message since they didn't answer. I went about my day, and they called me while I was cooking. Whoever called me sent me a VERY rude text after calling me twice within a span of two minutes. Excuse me for not getting to my phone on time? Definitely not taking my business here, after that so I continued doing what I was doing. Then another guy called me from this place three times before I could get to my phone. Two being seconds after then the third one minute later. I answered the fourth time and he called me a "B**tch" and said, "F**k you". I mean how impatient and $#*!ed can you be? Excuse me for being busy? And not answering after 2 seconds? Don't do business with these cavemen. Spend your time and money with someone who isn't 5 years old and knows what they're doing and has basic manners like a normal human being.

For the sake of the review... been canceled on 5 times now... all for different reasons with 10 minute notice of when they shldve been arriving. First of all, it cost me $114 for diagnostic test that took less than an hour. The labor on actual repair is a separate cost. I was expecting they would credit at least half of the cost a paid for diagnosis. This was the case with the other autoshop I experienced with. However, what really bothered me was the misdiagnosed. They did not fix the issue on my car. I did notify them but they want to run another diagnostic test for additional charge. I decided to go elsewhere. I would not recommend "Yourmechanic" to anyone.
First dude is supposed to come by on Friday 10am- no call no show, I email and call. Finally get a call back he's had a family er and will send someone else the next day. The next day some guy who looks high on whatever, couldn't keep his hand still or maintain eye contact. Diagnosis's hole in radiator hose- small hole he shows me and tells me easy fix won't be expensive at all. I get the quote and for the 15.00 part online... they are charging $289.99 119 in labor and 118 in parts- Get the F out of here... I literally put some of the automobile tape over the hole while I wait on the 15.00 part. You tube showed this can be done in 5 mins... lo and behold I did it in 3. 17. 99 vs. 289.99... waste of time, energy and horrible service.
Mark came to my office, completed the service and inspected my car. He found a crack in the exhaust and recommended a local welder who fixed it for $45. Had I not fixed it it would've been a much more expensive repair down the line. Thanks Mark.
Would definitely recommend to friends and family. As a girl who doesn't know anything about cars, my mechanic explained and showed me what was wrong with my car. He was quick and knowledgeable and it was cheaper then what I was anticipating.
Answer: Don't do it. They have scam written all over them. Was told different prices from different people within days of eachother
