AFTER SPENDING $75.00 ON BIDS, I WAS EXCITED TO WIN A $279.00 NIKON DIGITAL CAMERA ON 12-23@3:34PM. TODAY IS 2-05, AND I STILL CAN'T CONTACT THE COMPANY, AND HAVEN'T GOT MY STUFF. I GUESS THE MORAL IS EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU WON, YOU MIGHT AS WELL BEND OVER AND TAKE THE SCREWING.

Got the bids
February 3, 2011

Got the bids. OK, did not have a issue with that. Even won a Tom Tom, yet still haven't received that, sites "down for maintenance. Here is what my issue is, along with HOW MANY OTHERS? If I got ripped, my stupid fault, yet still had 2 bids left, so that leaves my account OPEN. Emailed with no avail, can't get into the site to close my account. So what I am getting at is are they draining all open accounts? Something to think about. I am freezing my card to where nothing can get pulled out of it

I bought(won) an item which I paid for 20 days ago. When I did not receive it within 2 weeks, I sent an email. They replied to the email (automated). The item has not been shipped. Their website has been down for 4 days without explanation. There is no way to contact anyone connected to this website. I want to know where my item is and why I have not received it or any correspondence with them?

For a more frequently reported scam, see the reviews on www.funbids.com which is almost as bad as xbids.com.
This site is blatantly fraudulent! The very second you fill out any banking information, that gives them instant access to your debit or credit card account. They immediately suck $75.00 out of your account. Consider it gone forever because you will NEVER see that money again; it's gone! There is no way to call them, their information page also contains no information whatsoever as to a mailing address.
The obviously dishonest behavior of this site is bad enough but, what is less obvious, but even sneakier is the bidding timing. Anyone who enters a bid before the final few seconds obviously has no chance of winning; the only hope is to enter a bid during the closing and final seconds of an auction. So how will that work out for you?
Not worth a damn. No matter how few seconds remain before you submit a bid, without any delay whatsoever, immediately there appears a counter-bid invalidating your bid and adding an additional 15 seconds to the end time. How does this happen? Shouldn't there be at least a few seconds for the servers of xbids to respond? Apparently not. At what seems to be the speed of light rapidity, you're faced with the reality that your bid was superceded by another. The speed with which this happens makes me think that the server is programmed to counter any bid with a winning chance with a completely bogus bid. You don't have a prayer with these crooks!
If you're stupid enough to want to try this swindling outfit, use a credit card that will stand with you and see that you're reimbursed. Otherwise, you've just dropped the soap in the shower and what happens to your rear end as a result is entirely your fault.
Think twice. STAY AWAY FROM XBIDS.COM. Actually, stay away from all of these rotten places is even better advice.

Over a 2 month period, prior to Christmas 2010, I won three Walmart gift cards and although it took nearly a month I did get them mailed to my house. The fourth Walmart gift card I won in mid-Dec has still not arrived and I have emailed customer support twice now. They state due to high volume and server changeovers, they are behind on getting the orders filled, but that they intend to get everyone their won items as soon as they can. That said, they can't tell me where I am in the queue and when if it all I can expect to see my won item. I agree with much of what has been posted here about this site, but at least I can say that I did win stuff and it was delivered to my house. The auction site server glitched after I won an item, then went off line, then came back on-line and started the bidding again on the item I had just won! Turns out the server continued to suck bids from my account even though I wasn't bidding and exited the auction. After contacting customer support twice they acknowledged the problem, and gave me 250 free bids even though I only lost about 35. Right now, it's been 6 weeks and I still don't have a $100 Walmart gift card that I paid for in Dec. I filed a complaint on-line with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and if I don't here something soon from Xbids, I will file a complaint with the FBI's and Bureau of Justice Assistance's "Internet Crime Complaint Center" (IC3) on-line. Complaining to each other on Site Jabber is all well and good just to vent, but if you want shut these sites down you need to use the official Gov sites I just gave you.

I was scammed out of 715.18 by xbids. I did the buy it now at the end of an auction for an Apple Ipad. They took my money immediately but have nver sent the merchandise. That was 2 months ago and I have exchanged numerous emails with them. They keep giving me the run around but never come through with shipping the item or refunding my money. I wish I could get them in a court room in Arkansas.

For the fellow who can't even contact them because they closed your account *******@xbids.com there you go! Email them and email them and email them! I feel for you! I have to say that I have/was a member since November and I did receive some of my items, thank god they were not Christmas presents because the shipping is #%*^&@! HORRIBLE! It states on their website that items usually ship within 2-4 days!? Liers! I still have items that I won on December 16,2010 that have yet to be shipped! WTFudge! I emailed them 4 times, on the first time they told me that my items were planned to be shipped 2 weeks ago. Still waiting! I tried to email them again and finally after the 3rd email they responded with a bunch of crap! They claim that they have a giant werehouse filled with overstock items. Well, they must be part owners of Amazon because when you receive items that is the boxes that they come in. You will be better off just shopping at Amazon! They stand by what they put in writing! Let me also add that I won a set of knives on xbids and they shipped me a swiffer sweep vac?! Again WTFudge! And I also won a $100.00 Victoria Secrets Gift Card and they sent me a $100 dollar Visa Card (You know what I am thinking)! I emailed them informing them of the swiffer sweep vac and they said that they ran out of knives. However, to this day they are still auctioning off knives?! They shut their site down for about one week after Christmas for upgrades. Upgrades my #%$@! Its worse now! They say they are from the west coast. I wish I knew exactly where to find the "company" because I would also like to give them a piece of my mind (and maybe put some hands on them as well!) Need I say more? Oh yes, WTF! Stay away! There are a lot of great Penny auction sites out there. Stay away from this one. If this review keeps even one person from signing up on xbids than I feel my time was well spent! SPREAD THE WORD!

Over 12-years online and over 100 different transaction, I've never seen a company act like this before... I swear I'm so mad I wish I could put my hands around one of thems throat and I might feel better... I told them I wanted to open a account for 25$, well they said yes, but I looked at my bids and it was like 70-bids I knew it was to much... I told then that I wanted a refund so I could get out, when a company just take your money and do what they want you can't trust them...
The next day my account was shut and no more bids... Now I can't even email them... There is no freaking way to get these punks... They need to be stopped Quick...

I have won 2 items on Xbid site and have yet to receive anything. I have contacted the customer support and they have no clue or date as to when or where. They constantly say give it 14 days and if you have not received it after 14 days then give them a call. This site is a total fraud and i do not overstand how they are still operating. They are truly robbing the people and going to the bank! CAN SOMEONE ANYONE SAY SERIOUS CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!

And those items were won and purchased on 1-10-2011 and as of 1-22-2011 not one single email confirmation that my items have been shipped. They can not be backed up because they do not even have an office that they work out of. PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON XBID OR ANY OTHER SITE FOR THAT MATTER...

This site is a complete scam. I was lured to this site through an advertisement on ESPN. Just as everyone ahead of me has stated the link automatically signed me up for a $75 bid pack. Anyway, I won an auction back on 12/16/10 and still haven't received my product. The site stated that they ship within 2 days of the purchase under their FAQ's. I have emailed customer service and have gotten a response that shipping has gotten back up and they will have my product shipped either this week or next. Well that has come and gone. If they have truely fallen behind maybe they should stop existing auctions to be albe to get caught up.
I WOULD SUGGEST TO STAY AWAY!

Tried this out on 12/10/10 and won an IPOD touch (32gb) for $1.67, also won a target $50 giftcard for. 57. Was very excited... however, it is January 14th ----- 5 weeks later and still no product. I have sent numerous emails to customer support only to have a "pat on the head" and the ticket closed... saying it's on it's way. Save your money and time, it's not worth it...

I won a $100 Wal-Mart gift card on December 14. As of Jan 12 it still has not been shipped. Four (4) responses from Jessica of xBids have failed to advise when a simple gift card will be shipped. All it takes is an envelope with proper postage to mail a gift card. As of today, Jessica cannot advise as to when it will be shipped, maybe this week, maybe next week but doesn't know. My advice, don't participate in auctions at this web-site unless you do not care when you receive the item. Frankly, a month to ship a gift card borders on negligence!

xBids.com is a scam, and with terrible customer service. I was tricked into sign up with 25 free bids. It turned out they automatically charged $75.00 for it. I since then wrote to few times and finally received a call from them promising that they will refund total $75.00, but it could take up to 30 days. I also received an email as following:
=====
We have processed your refund and you should see the money back in your account within 7-10 business days. However, some banks can take up to 30 days.

We are very sorry on the wait, but rest assured you will see your money soon.
We've processed your refund for the amount of $75.00

Thank you very much for your patience.

Please note: Your account has been canceled and you are not allowed to open a new account at xBids.com at this time.
======

That was on Nov. 17,2010. I have no problem to won't allow me to open a new account as I would ever intent to have anything to do with them. But the problem is that I still have not received the refund as of today, Jan 10,2011. I sent more emails to them, but this time no one responds.

This site is a scam
December 27, 2010

This site is a scam. As everyone before me has said. It cost $75.00 to sign on and twenty free bids. If you must use on of these penny auctions sites. I would recommend Quibids, I have won several items big and small, never dose the clock freeze customer service is great. Items ship quick and they too make a lot of money you should just buy what you need. Save up of the TV.

I did the 75$ sign up but did not know what the $75 was for but I had 25 free so I though I was using them. Then when I asked what the $75 dollars was for they said that they did not know where I signed on but that they would refund my money and give me 45 bids plus 20 bids for the inconvience. I said OK do that and low and behold they could not do that as I had already used my 125 bid worth $75 dollars. I do not believe I used 125 bids so this was BOOOOOOOOGUS. Then I had 16 bids left and used dwn to nine and then I was told today that I had no credits left. I asked what happened to my 9 credits that I had as of last Thursday 12/23/10 and they told me that my time had run out on my bids. I ohly had then for a week. WOW was I surprised. The said that the have reenstated my bids but who knows I am afraid to check and be charged with new bids. STAY AWAY FROM EXBIDS.COM IT IS A SCAM!

I too fell into the alure
December 27, 2010

I too fell into the alure. I bid on a product and got hooked on it. I would bid on products and come close to winning and run out of bids, I decided I needed more to continue to bid on a product. Several times I tried winning one of the TV's on this site only when I look away for a second, there was suddenly a winner, not me, but someone else. I have actually supposedly one 5 of the items, but the so called retail value of the highest was the ginsu knife set. At this date according to them I should have recieved much of the items I won because they state orders shipping within 2 days and to give up to 14 days for delivery. I have yet to receive any items. So today, I went to the site to send an email complaining about the shipment, only to get a message stating that the site is down for upgrading. They do not say when it will be back up or nothing.
