“Hair loss”

I kept WEN cleansing conditioner for several years. I would only use every now and then when I needed a deep conditioning. However, I read the directions for use on the most recent bottle I purchased from QVC. It directs you to concentrate on the scalp, rinse, and add more and work on the rest of the hair. After following these steps, and used for 2 washes, I noticed, in the shower, my hair falling out terribly. Why is this product still allowed on the market? Why does QVC continue to promote this product?

I have used Wen for many years, have recommended it to many friends. It was the only hair product i found that did not tangle my thick hair. This past year i have found more and more was falling out and filling my brushes. I asked my daughter-in-law if she had this problem, she said she no longer uses it, but her sister had the same problem. My hair is slowly getting stronger, but it is going to take a long time. Be good to yourself and dont use this product!

Okay so there's really no secret to this whole "Wen" hair care stuff. Basically you just never use shampoo. You wash and condition with only conditioner all the time. If you read the ingredients you'll find it's the truth. You don't have to spend a ton of money on these products. All you have to do is stop using shampoo. You're welcome!

The first customer service rep was a bit rude and did not inform me that I needed a Return Shipping Label. She just send "Send it back" which if I had, would likely have gotten lost somewhere in postal or UPS land with no credit reinstated on my card. The second customer service person put me on hold for 10-15 mins, came back and said it would be 7-10 days before I would receive a Return Label because they use snail mail. I'm really worried I won't get my money back. Should have known better. Would not recommend doing business with these people.

Tip for consumers:
Don't do it!

When I call customer svs today they inform me that my grand total which would have to be paid before cancelling was $98 this company is a rip off buyer beware and I also believe the product taking my hair out stay away if you know what's good for you!

I order the product and looked over everything when I did it to make sure I was not getting into some kind of auto ship... So they must hide it in the very fine print! I got a charge today of $44.95 and the lady told me once I cancelled that I owed another $88.95. I threw a fit! I normally never speak to customer representatives the way I did, but I told her I will not pay for it and know how the system works and will charge back all of this as fraud on my credit card. She promptly refunded me and wrote off my account. GRR! I told her they needed to fix their website this doesn't happen. I can see it happens a lot! The product itself was fine... just didn't work too well for me. The business practices. TERRIBLE!

Stay as far away from this product as possible! The "customer service" is sorry for their inconvenience. Gigantic SCAM! They will keep sending fraudulent product to you and keep charging your card. Read the fine print!?!?

Tip for consumers:
Do not go near this or think about using it. Too many scams.

A friend gave me a bottle of Wen to try. Had a terrible rash on my head and a burning scalp. Thankfully no hair loss! Went to a dermatologist who recommended that I no longer use the product after testing a sample of Wen and finding that yes, there were some harmful chemicals in the product itself. After using a 100% natural peanut butter conditioning treatment to condition my hair and not shampooing for a couple of days. I went back to my regular shampoo line9from a health food store) that I used before trying out Wen. Don't believe the commercials that you see on TV with the actresses that are promoting this product. It's just hype and you wind up paying way too much money it.

I was so stupid to order this online after watching the infomercial. I should have known better. Aside from the fact that the product is not good, it actually dried my hair. This is the most shadey business with all of their misleading and underhanded practice. You can't speak to someone who speaks English and this I guess is how they scam you into ordering far more than you want. If I could have given no stars I would have but I had to give one. Please do not be scammed by this company

So far I have no complaints about the product. The billing practices however are horrible I signed up for the 29.95 plan. I've received the product twice to the tune of 203.64 far cry from what was promised now I am in the process of cancelling... Live chat was no help at all and gave a number to call.

SCAM, SCAM! Definitely stay away from ordering Wen by phone or the web. They will charge your credit card a ridiculous amount of money and for items you didn't even order. I try to cancel, but mysteriously they cannot find your account and won't try to help you. Now I have to file a dispute with my bank and change my account info.

If I could give a negative review I would. My daughter was sent this product to her and also billed automatically after she canx her order. She was unable to use it so I started. Biggest mistake ever! My hair is falling out and didn't realize it until I looked on the web. There are pages with people whose hair have also fallen out. Beware

Such a rip off. I tried canceling so many times and month after month I would still get billed and no one would refund me. I didn't even like the products! Didn't work for me. If you want to try the product I would suggest buying it from a different store/site (ebay, amazon, sephora) I totally regret buying through wen!

WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.
Ordering from wen was the worst mistake I ever made. They kept sending me products I didn't reorder. When I called to speak with a sales representative, I couldn't believe how rude she was. She practically told me to I was foolish not to have read the fine print and it was my fault. I couldn't believe my ears. The product wasn't even that good. Please be careful when placing an order with this company as once they have your debit card information, they will rip you blind.

Terrible products. My hair went really dry and started breaking off. I used recommended amount even though it's $40 for a 16 oz bottel. And I have 27inch hair. I didn't mind paying if it would have done what it promised. Don't waste your time. I'm getting my $ back. I am very disappointed, :( . Even the $53 deep moisture conditioner sucked. No go. Go get something from the salons.

I first purchased WEN by Chaz Dean cleansing conditioner in Sephora in 2014. I liked the idea of cleaning my hair without using a regular shampoo and harsh chemicals. WENs cream made my hair feel smooth and moisturized. After a few weeks, though, I noticed that my scalp would feel itchy and I saw flakes of skin in my hair. Unfortunately, it took me several months to realize that the problems were caused by WEN. During application, the WEN conditioner gives a cooling feeling to the scalp, so to alleviate my problem, I actually started using it more often! The more irritated and itchy my scalp would feel, the more often I would wash my hair with WENs conditioner. Before using WEN, I would wash my hair 1-2 times a week. After starting using WEN, I would have to wash my hair ever second day. I couldnt go more than two days because my scalp would feel almost burning. The itchiness and pruritus would become unbearable.

Again, I didnt realize that WENs product caused this allergic reaction and kept using it. I even signed up for their subscription and continued using for about a year. After a few months of using WEN, my hair started to fall out. Huge balls of hair were left in the drain after each wash, and my hair got thinner and thinner. I panicked when I saw a completely bald spot on one side of my head. What? I was in my 30s and it was too early for starting loosing my hair. Nobody in my family has any problems with baldness or thinning hair, so it cant be genetic. I am also leading a very healthy lifestyle, with good nutrition and exercise.

First after my husband told me that I was loosing lots of hair and asked if it could be my shampoo did I connect the dots. I noticed that the itchiness and the burning sensation started a couple hours after washing with WENs conditioner. I immediately stopped using it. Unfortunately, I let it go pretty far and am still suffering from thin hair. My bald patches (2 in total) are still there but are slowly getting better.

I emailed them and asked for a full refund of my money. A representative called me and asked lots of questions. Then, with an arrogant attitude, she proceeded to inform me that they are not going to pay. WEN is playing a dirty game with their customers, are not willing to fix a flawed product, and ignore customers who obviously were injured by their products.

The product it self isn't so terrible as the customer service Department. I received a welcome back flyer, 3 bottles 49.90, not to bad, right. When I went to order, they wanted 74.85 on top of that. What! What happened to welcome back! A big lie, no where on flyer, does it say I have to be a member. The product is definitely not that good and false advertising. Do they really think people are that stupid?

I used once and my hair became dry and frizzy. On top of that they have charged me over $80 in products I never ordered. I returned everything when I checked they received it on March 30,2015 and still have not given my money back. Then they charged $24.94 on 3 /24/15 called CS they said they would return the money. On 4/2/15 they returned $16.95. I called today 4/16/15. They told me they would return the $7.89 and I had verification of pkg was returned. I asked CS when they would return the $39.99 for trial, she told me 4-6 weeks. I said no way I had proof of delivery and she put me on hold then said she would process the return today and I should see in 3-5 days. Big difference. This company is a con and I will never recommend Wen to anyone.

This is awful, had the exact same experience as everyone else. I was careful about what I was ordering, and NOTHING on the website or confirmation email of my initial order says I signed up for a reoccurring monthly thing. Its best that you call your credit card company to block future bills from them. It is such a shame that they operate their business this way because the product itself does the job. Still, I totally regret my first and last infomercial purchase. Oh, and they make random charges to your card, too. BEWARE.
