Just another company that is chronically unable to leave anything alone. They have to "improve" (*sneer*) it to where it's completely useless. I came here because Weather.com screwed up their site, and now you've done the same thing. Better not try to charge for it -- it's waaaaay too junky to buy!
Like many of the other recent reviews, I've used Wunderground for many years now and it's always been great, informative, easy to use, and my hands down favorite weather site. But now, it totally sucks. Sad.
WU was the best on the web. Now the worst. Refuses to set my local weather station and continues to default to a station 100 km distant. Hurricane reporting is a disaster. Initially claims no information or tracking map on recent hurricanes. Clicking on an image shows track for about 5 seconds then reverts to earlier page. So many ads there is no room for weather. I was a paid member for 5+ years but at the moment I wouldn't give them a dime. It would appear a hostile takeover has occurred and they are milking it for all it is worth. Jack L.
Once great weather station site now the absolute pits. Recent migration that the site underwent was coupled with endless issues, new interface is absolutely broken, barometric pressure gauge shows different readings at the analogue and digital level. Ability to display uploaded weather data by year deprecated. And they now have my weather station located in a city that doesn't exist in any atlas. Uploading data to two other weather sites at the moment, pretty sure that I won't be using these guys much longer.
I am truly amazed at this past Dec 2019 update. Horrible. We used to see everything in one panel and could scroll for clear details. Everything is now multiple effort and not clear. Pretty, but useless. Please go back. Oh, and landscape view for ipads? Deleting in a month if no changes are made back.
This site used to be a great spot for weather nerds to get their data. In the last two years, renovations to the site have removed most of the deep functionality, and even standard things like a textual 5 day forecast. Really silly changes like removing the ability to pull weather by airport code.
I'm almost certain that the Weather Underground's owners purchased the site to ruin it on purpose to drive users to other products. It's really a shame.
Oh, and don't bother complaining, or asking questions, or providing bug reports. Nobody will ever answer.
It is difficult to navigate and provides less information in a much poorer format than the previous version. In short, IBM, you have clearly sent a "screw you" message to formerly loyal Wunderground users. So long.
I've been a Weather Underground user since its earliest days and have always told people that it was the best weather site. This redesign is the worst ever now. It's not just because I don't like change; it's just terrible. It's slow, unpredictable, no longer includes information that I considered invaluable, not customizable, wastes screen space, and requires one to navigate several pages to get information formerly together on one. Plus, it won't remember which local personal weather station's information I want displayed. Does anybody think this is an improvement?
For years Wundemap was the gold standard. I don't even bother anymore. What a shame. It was once a great product... now it's practically useless.
Suggest others try windy.com. It's what Wundemap used to be but much better.
Sorry weather underground, I'm done wasting my time.
So annoyed that I can rarely bring up the page properly. Either the favourite cities are wrong or the information required isnt as chosen in the custom section.
As many others have written, it used to be an excellent website, now its one of the worst!

Update. Now I can't even stay logged in. When I can't get away from ads, my weather station will no longer be sending data.
I've been uploading my PWS data since 2002. It used to be a great site with great support, but now it is totally ignored. It is a POS. IBM and the Weather Channel have abandoned this site which used to be the best around.
Weather Underground should make one more change to their web site. In big red letters ad a link to accuweather.com.
Really folks, these people had something fine and trashed it in the name of improvement. Weather underground should get a clue.
Over the last three or four years this site has gone from really good to totally useless. Right now it won't even display the current temperature (from my PWS!). In the early mornings you can't get an hourly forecast. Sometimes you can't get a 10-day forecast.
One day last year I went for a bicycle ride after checking wunderground, which said no rain in the area. I ran into the second worst thunderstorm I've ever been in.
The site sometimes shows conditions from months ago (literally, it says "last updated" and gives a date and time months in the past).
Intellicast was smart and useful tool for getting weather. I fly commercially and really miss it. Now that WUG has taken over, what a pitiful attempt to give weather. The weather channel should be embarrassed.
App doesn't work 6/10 times to load actual data i want to know... i don't care that you can post a picture of a sun. Give me that actually info i came to get. Takes 5 minutes of hunting to find snow fall predictions... 10day forecast loads 1/5 times. And your wrong most of the time anyways. Can we have intellicast back? Keep your trash in California where its from!
I have been a paid subscriber for years. It would take a moron to release the new format...it doesn't work and removes the all in one features that made WU great for the past few years. I don't want tabbed browsing on my weather channel...Sorry but you lost a fan with this one folks. Best of luck.
Yup, Weather Underground really does suck because I'm sitting in my home office in Parsonsfield, Maine where it's 91 F outside and Weather Underground is saying that it's only 84.6. F, not mention that there forecast has been off for our area for going on a year.
One can not depend on the Weather Underground for local weather conditions at all, if you are planning on doing anything out of doors, hiking, boating, camping, etc, please get your weather info from a local source, otherwise the Weather Underground could leave you stranded on top of a mountain in a severe thunderstorm! (:>(
Wunderground at one time was the best site for tracking hurricanes. Going back sometime in 2016, their 5 day wind speed prediction, their ensemble models, their computer models and their predictions just stopped updating. By early this year, their wind speed models had been removed all together. I can generally get the same info with better accuracy from Weather.com (not that they've ever been decent at weather prediction) It's a shame. At one time, they were my go-to for EVERYTHING weather related.
I have had Weather Underground bookmarked for many years and often check it several times a day. Now, suddenly, the site has gone from providing everything I need to reference on one page to a fiddly setup that requires me to go to three different pages for the same information.
The whole thing is messy, irritating and unnecessarily complicated. NOT a fan anymore.
What the hell happened to this site. I have been sending my weather station date to WU for years. Then recently went to view my site and to my surprise the whole interface has taken a dramatic step backwards. No more real-time rapid fire updates just a static site... back to the stone age. Its like the site has been restored from a very old back up because if your going to role out changes you certainly wouldn't remove existing, often used features. No longer useful in it's current form! Went from a 5 star to a zero rating
Answer: This was deliberate calculated sabotage for some reason
Answer: It won't come back. IBM bought The Weather Company to get at the data so they could package and sell that to their corporate customers using their "Watson" cloud services. Individuals mean nothing. That they've managed to so thoroughly destroy what was once the premiere weather site says a lot about the incompetence behind their core "Watson" products. You might want to tell IBM that.
Answer: They hired a bunch of idiots to manage and design their new site. This included removing features and gutting the radar.
Answer: Yes. We have many employees who come to work each day desperate to appear productive and relevant. We ask them to destroy functional lean websites with bloated nonsense. Meanwhile, our executives require more money so we like to devastate communicative websites with ad-infested infestations of pus-riddled idiocy. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Pointless giving feedback/complaints. I tried this and got an automated reply telling me how much better it was!
Answer: Your local Tv station meteorologist.
