Ever since TWC bought wunderground things have been in steady decline. And now they will no longer support webcam uploads is the nail in the coffin for me. I just cancelled my paid prescription today. And I am seeking an alternative weather site that allows PWS.
I am a 14K hour professional pilot. Intellicast was GREAT, easy to use plus it showed what you wanted. I miss my INTELLICAST weather and radar. Weather Underground also nags hell out of you with their deliberate pop-ups.

The biggest problem with Wunderground.com is that it is painfully slow. I don't know of_any_ site that is this slow anymore. I enter the zipcode for the area I want to check and go away and prepare a full meal -- cooked -- and it still won't have loaded when I get back. The worst for loading. Good info if you can ever get it. The ads load just fine, though.
Wunderground used to be an awesome site. The only weather site worth anything. In the last many months, theyve changed the site and it absolutely sucks. Its so disappointing! It use to open to the nice, tight 10-day look, with an easy click on whatever day you wanted more details for. Now, it takes forever to load the homepage - which is the weather for the current day - and forever AGAIN to get to longer term view. Absolutely terrible.
Seriously, why did they update it... ot should i say downgrade it? Used to be very easy to use, would tell you percip (snow or rain) accumulation forcasts... could go on and on... did they purposely ruin this app to
Promote another? Seriously, it is. Iw garbage.
Weather underground used to be a nice, useful site. Somewhere in the last 12-18 months it has become increasingly slow klunky and generally unpleasant to use. The wundermap app is nothing to cheer about. The original radar map app used to be great - now is slow and buggy.
This used to be the only decent alternative to TWC and then TWC bought them and destroyed it. The information is never accurate and I don't just mean the obscure stuff but basic temps. They can't even figure out that the temperature of 44 degrees is WARMER NOT COOLER than yesterday's 32 degrees. Seriously? And I'm in a suburb of a major city, no where obscure. Sometimes they don't update their info for over a day. I think the only option anymore is NOAA directly.
This WAS the best weather app for monitoring my personal weather station. First you broke the API so Alexa no longer could give me MY weather, now the app is useless too. To think I used to work for you guys, what an embarrassment.
Every time wunderground changes their website it gets worse.
Now it takes more gymnastics to find the info I use to get at a glance.
I changed to the weathernetwork- not as good as the former wunderground website but better than the new one
The Wundermap is really quite great as it gives you a lot of options to view outside of just the radar.
The biggest problem with Wunderground is the weather predictions are rarely accurate and fluctuate quite often making planning your day around the weather using this site difficult.
It could be worse... it could be Weather.com.
What happened to the best weather site that ever was. It was THE BEST, hands down. Now, when I go to the site the computer heats up and processes while waiting for the now useless interface to load. The great and mighty Wunderground is now adrift in the breeze. I hate the Weather Channel now and will never watch it again after what they did to WU.
I have always used Intellicast to look at the future radar. It has historically been accurate for the eastern great lakes region. Trying to look at the maps on wunderground is a nightmare. I can't figure out how to get the future radar. The website is not user friendly. The maps are amateurish at best. I will stick with weatherchannel or local news for now. BRING BACK INTELLICAST!
" New Look with the Same Maps
The Authority in Expert Weather is now here on Weather Underground"
It's should read the beloved authority in Expert Weather has been hogtied and hidden in the basement. It puts the lotion on it's maps. WU is awful There is no future loop on the "wundermap" and I have not been able to find anything even remotely similar to Intellicast's excellent forecasting. Very un-happy with this switch. Please someone save the day and rescue poor Intellicast - it got the short end of this merger.
The wunderground site is so tied up loading advertising and junk onto the page that it takes forever to load weather details. It is so annoying that after using it for years, I'm abandoning it for the NOAA site!
The Intellicast map and tools were superior. My guess is IBM wants to monetize the Intellicast tools.
No more 24 hour interactive future radar/satellite/temps etc... WU doesn't even have a future radar tool - there are so many other features that went away with Intellicast. Same Maps, New Look... I call BS on WU/TWC/IBM
Good Grief! An Epic, Epic Fail.
I wasn't surprised to find that they have super low rating. I've sent them a note 4 months ago and again a month ago about wrong city that comes up and still not fix after 4 months and 2 emails later. I guess no one at Eagan, MN uses Wunderground, because it brings you to Eagan, TN when you click on it.
I first thought it was something to do with local cache, but tried it on another pc, it came up with the same result. When you search zip ******* or Eagan, MN. It will come up on the search, but when you click on it, it will give you Eagan, TN instead. Really...?
I was extremely leary when Weather Wunderground combined with my intellicast. At first it was fine. But now it just plain sucks! I want my 10 day forcasts back. I want Intellicast back. I need good weather for my job. This sucks. Hated Weather Wunderground before they combined. Really hate them for taking over Intellicast. This sucks.
Seriously, by the time this site loads you WILL be underground. Dead, killed by old age. I made the mistake of signing up because I got tired of San Francisco coming up as my "home" page. WTF... they supposedly can tell where your are nowadays right? As soon as I signed up and made my "home" location... BAM! IT COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING! Then the page was filled with all kinds of ads and I couldn't even get to the radar loops, forecast. NADA. Man why did they kill Intellicast? It was the best. Oh. Wait! I forgot Jim "too tight t-shirt" Cantore and The (Hysterical/Panic/Panic/Panic Weather Channel took over. They suck. If I could give them a negative star I would.
I have used Wunderground since I got my first iPhone years ago, I depend on this app and the information it provides. Never had a problem. Loved it. No warning of the "upgrade" just one day the entire interface has changed. Now... what a frickin' disaster. I thought okay, I live with it and then decided to upgrade to the ad free "PREMIUM VERSON" on May 20,2020. What a FOOL. Not only does the app suck, I'm still getting ADS on my iPhone even though when I check my subscriptions on my iPhone it indicates the Premium Membership. W T H? I want my money back.
As the title states, these goofballs got rid of Intellicast who's radar loaded faster, offered better functionality (futurecast, earthquake monitors, etc), and they did it all for nothing. Their software is garbage.
Answer: This was deliberate calculated sabotage for some reason
Answer: It won't come back. IBM bought The Weather Company to get at the data so they could package and sell that to their corporate customers using their "Watson" cloud services. Individuals mean nothing. That they've managed to so thoroughly destroy what was once the premiere weather site says a lot about the incompetence behind their core "Watson" products. You might want to tell IBM that.
Answer: They hired a bunch of idiots to manage and design their new site. This included removing features and gutting the radar.
Answer: Yes. We have many employees who come to work each day desperate to appear productive and relevant. We ask them to destroy functional lean websites with bloated nonsense. Meanwhile, our executives require more money so we like to devastate communicative websites with ad-infested infestations of pus-riddled idiocy. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Pointless giving feedback/complaints. I tried this and got an automated reply telling me how much better it was!
Answer: Your local Tv station meteorologist.
