Used Intellicast for I don't know how many years, definitely more than 7 or 8. And I actually used Weather Underground for the same period for their focus on Tropical systems when they were brewing. God knows what gave us this mess we have today.
This page needs a zero star option.
WU has been ruined. The app now sucks, almost as if on purpose. If they'd bring back the old GUI, I'd likely pay for additional long term forecasts and data upgrade.
But as it is now, I'm looking elsewhere. There are so many things wrong with this new "upgrade", many covered in the overwhelmingly negative reviews.
Is IBM customer tone-deaf?
Purchased by "Weather Channel" to destroy the competition. Remember when Bill Gates showed up on the Simpsons to buy out Homer? He said, "Buy 'em out, boys!" and a bunch of goons ran around the office with baseball bats hitting anything in sight. What a sad, sorry mess. :(
This is one of the best weather sites, but I rarely use it because it is offensively slow. It's clear that many others share this opinion, so I can't imagine why they don't change their slow loading ads for quick gifs, or whatever. They would get high ratings, and consequently, better ad revenue. It's truly a mystery to me that any company would think this is wise marketing.
Its been five years already I believe since IBM acquired it. Wow - such a bad experience now in 2020. So they own weather.com also - what else I don't know. What I'd like to see is the U.S. government set limits on the extreme number of businesses these few large companies play in. I want someone with a brain in government 20 years later - but I guess that is too much to ask. I want fellow citizens that don't use nasty data-whoring company services - that stop shopping at Amazon and Walmart - and people with the dignity to understand what these nasty companies (like IBM, Google, Amazon) are doing - and they ARE thoroughly screwing up the economy for the average person.
The latest change to the format has once again made it worse. Really, why dumb it down even further. I realize a good thing doesn't last forever, but you seem hell bent on changing things for the worse and driving away the people who use it the most, the weather fans who support you. Still here today but yet, gone tomorrow.
Havent been able to load 10 day foreacst for over a week... cant pick up local weather, everything in F cant access settings to change to C... what was a great site now rubbish.
Have to add this was on chrome. Changed to explorer and all works fine...
The previous version of the app was fantastic. It showed so much information while still being easy to use and beautifully designed. The update is an abomination. It's not even clear what they were trying to improve. Please, WU, swallow your pride and give us our wonderful app back!
For over ten years I used to use "Intellicast" - always reliable, never failed. Suddenly they went off line and divert you to "Weather Underground" which has failed to work at all the last 48 hours - just when you need it because there's a snowstorm. It's also impossible to e-mail tech support at "Weather Underground" site is useless. The twenty year old software engineers are again trying to ruin our lives.
WU was the best weather website out there and I visited several times a day before venturing outdoors. Now they've removed the graph, it's just like any other website - and not a particularly intuitive one, at that. I'll be going elsewhere in future.
I hate weather underground! I want Intellicast back! It was user friendly, quick, easy, good graphics, etc. What the hell happened here. Oh I think I can guess. Someone wants to make money I'll bet. I'm steaming.
You no longer post info about invests. I have lost confidence in weather underground. It used to be my go-to site and I still like it for the models, but there's no mention of these important pre-storms.
Used to be a dependable and accurate site for weather and, in particular, forecasts. Now it is not even a useful glance into the obvious. Totally useless. I agree with other posts... just shut it down. I've deleted my link and won't be back.

What is wrong with the people running this company? I feel like they have removed every useful feature. Can't find the "Scientific Discussion" any longer. No matter, I have rediscovered that feature on the government website at weather.gov. It's really strange how these folks seem to be moving away from what is wanted rather than towards it.
This website was a true community. I used to send in readings from my weather station and we all felt we were contributing to an accurate resource.
Up until mid 2015 it was very, very accurate. Not any more.
Now people have to pay (yes, pay!), unless you want averts.
The accuracy has now slipped, forecasts are inaccurate and many of us have departed.
Greed and ignorance might be good in some businesses, but a community has ended!
Quite frankly, I hope they go bust!
I get that your website needs to generate revenue by man, it's ridiculously slow because of all of the ads and the old interface was better.
Can anyone here suggest a better alternative than this crap?
Sick of trying to use weather under-grounded now. Loads way to slow, and sometimes regional views don't change for days! Same, exact view as two days ago! USELESS! Tried signing up, and logging in as well. No difference, except now they can spam up my inbox somehow. Switching to MUCH better/faster weather service. Too bad, because W. U. used to be really good in the past.
Used weather underground for decade or more and really liked it. Now my home location changes all by itself when opening. Have to reset it repeatedly. New site makes everything more difficult to find PLUS partially blank pages, slow loading, "404 page not found" repeatedly then page loads all of a sudden. Think the weather channel is trying to kill it off...
I used to love Intellicast's animated weather maps that could show me where the rain is and how hard its going to rain in the coming day. For some incomprehensible reason they have acquired and then destroyed a lot of value.
These people are scientists, and yet the design of the website is terrible and nearly unusable. What do you want from a weather website? Quick access to the forecasts. You've managed to bury even that and make it muddy. You can't find basic information, it is poorly and primitively organized, and completely out of tune with modern web standards. It is hard to believe a major organization can do such an astonishingly poor job. You succeed in making the government weather dot gov website look amazing. Congratulations on hiding your best scientist, Dr. Masters, you idiots.
Answer: This was deliberate calculated sabotage for some reason
Answer: It won't come back. IBM bought The Weather Company to get at the data so they could package and sell that to their corporate customers using their "Watson" cloud services. Individuals mean nothing. That they've managed to so thoroughly destroy what was once the premiere weather site says a lot about the incompetence behind their core "Watson" products. You might want to tell IBM that.
Answer: They hired a bunch of idiots to manage and design their new site. This included removing features and gutting the radar.
Answer: Yes. We have many employees who come to work each day desperate to appear productive and relevant. We ask them to destroy functional lean websites with bloated nonsense. Meanwhile, our executives require more money so we like to devastate communicative websites with ad-infested infestations of pus-riddled idiocy. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Pointless giving feedback/complaints. I tried this and got an automated reply telling me how much better it was!
Answer: Your local Tv station meteorologist.
