Well, well. I feel stupid for falling for these guys. Honestly, I understand its a business, but if the sales rep on the phone would've been completely honest about the premium account I probably would not have agreed to pay 10 bucks for the driving record fee. Basically what the phone reps don't tell you when you call is that in order to be GUARANTEED a campaign you must pay $9/month. They cover the topic of premium membership by saying "with premium membership we offer you higher paying campaigns". And in order to get us to pay $10 they avoid saying "if you dont pay for premium, we dont find you an ad campaign". So they give you a "free" ($9 in 7 days from signing up) premium membership and give me the lowest paying (commission) campaign which I got. I doubt they even care about their "employees" from whom they made $10-20 off of. I made a mistake by putting my trust in these guys. If you're short on cash and want quick money dont fall for this business.
Signed up on Feb. 12,2014. Paid the 24.99 driving record fee to see if I qualified. Paid the 7.99 per month for an account manager to ensure I'd get wrapped. It's been 8 months and nothing. I contacted them on September 24,2014 and on October 22,2014. Never received a response for the first contact other than another email offering me an advertisement I'd have to pay shipping for. The second was an email where I clicked a link to cancel my subscription, which I did. TERRIBLE customer service. I had to put a hold on my bank account to stop them from withdrawing money.
I cannot believe Ericka has the "Balls" to answer some of these complaints. She must be a guy in disguise
I got $13.00 taken away from me. I was told that all I had to pay was $5.00 to get started. So I took the chance. One week later they took $8.00 away from me without my consent. Now I am still waiting on them to give me back my refund. Why were they refusing to respond to my request to get my refund back? I haven't started any campaign and they they were waiting too long to find me one, I was told that they are still looking for more people in my area that's why I haven't been in a campaign yet. I tried contacting them and I emailed them a few times about me getting my money back, but all I get was them trying to get me to stay with them. I canceled my membership and they were still trying to get me to reconsider. They take peoples money sneakily and give no campaign.
Not a scam, just a simple numbers game where you are on the losing end. Much better and much more reputable companies out there for this line of extra income. I advise going in that direction. Communication is near impossible with all numbers going to a voicemail. Even when you get someone, that is not their department, transferred to voicemail. Is your Account Rep Erica? Yeah. Seems to be the main automatic e-mail generating account. Which contact e-mails, cancellation requests (because you can only cancel by asking your account Rep for a link to a cancellation form), and general inquiries are ignored for as long as possible.
WrapMatch is a business in which they have keep a profit. They do not have the clients to support the number of sign-ups they have and often use gift cards as a way to pay for services rendered. You will need to be a premium member and you will need to be a part of that program for a little bit to earn your promotion. You can earn something. Gift card, 50 dollars a month, that does happen. But the number of times and people it happens to is small when compared to the hundreds sign up every day.
Use the service if you desire, just go in knowing exactly what will happen. You will pay 8 dollars a month (or 4 if you go to cancel). You will pay 10 for the "background check." And there are other companies which do none of these things and still offer the same incentives. Not a scam, just not the best choices in my opinion.
I feel like this company is not honest! I paid for the background check of $9.99, which like others have noted, I am sure they don't run. I was told that from the date I signed up, I would be matched with a campaign within 14 days. I was matched with one within 4. Next I was told that I would need to pay for the shipping for this wrap. They charged my card before the wrap was even prepared. I then received an email ( this is all within the first 4 days) that I was going to be charged $8.99, the next day, for the monthly service charge. You have already charged me $24.80, plus another $8.99 and I have not even got the wrap in my possession. Then I get an email from some 3rd party company, they use, telling me that I need to agree to their terms and conditions, which states, that I agree to be liable for any fees associated with the use of their service. I was not about to agree to these terms. The customer service person, who really needs to work on their grammar, tells me to just agree because the third party company's wording does not apply to me. Sorry, but that sounds lie BS and I m not going for. Still working on getting the $14.81 they charged me for shipping. Typically a company will charge your for shipping once the item ships, not 5 days before the order has even been sent to fulfillment. Save your money, time and headache.
I didn't want to have the premium membership after the trial period but when I got my first campaign offer, I decided to pay for it for one month just to see. I am by no means rich but I made more than I paid and the money went straight into my account from paypal. I'm not rating them 5 stars because I didn't make as much as I hoped but I still made a decent amount ($75).
I have had a decal on my car for 3 months now and I am making decent money, nothing to retire on or what some may call a "living wage" but come on, people, I literally just drive around like I would anyway. I am a premium member and while I was a little unsure if I should keep the premium membership plan I don't think I'll ever cancel because I make much more than I paid and it works.
In full disclosure, this is my second campaign because the first one I had didn't make much money so WrapMatch switched out my decal after one month and vwalla, it worked. If any of you aren't making enough money with your decal now, just ask them to switch it and to give you free shipping, thats what I did. You're not going to get rich so keep that in mind and try it.
DON'T FALL FOR THIS. Someone I am an acquaintance with shared her link to sign up for wrap match. I thought it would be cool so I did it. You have to pay for a drivers check. Don't pay more than $10 if you are actually going to do this. I paid for premium memberships and I never received my ad. They have super crappy customer service. I asked the girl I know who did this and she isn't making any money off of it. I decided I didn't want to deal with it especially after not receiving my ad so I asked for a refund on the $15 shipping fee. If you say you don't want to do it, they will offer free shipping. They refuse to refund the shipping. I cancelled my account and am out $40.
So if you are going to actually do it:
Don't pay more than $10 for your background driving. Also if you want to quit your premium membership they will offer it to you for 3.99 a month instead of $8. And they will offer free shipping. So make sure to not pay much for this $#*!ty company.
Don't give them any money! You will never get matched. They make it seem like they are working on getting you matched with emails and phone calls but once they get your money they stop contacting you and won't respond to any emails or phone calls.
Kay,
Sounds like there was some sort of mistake with your account if you never got matched. We have multiple national campaigns and anyone can see that by visiting our facebook page. Lots of matches and campaigns to see. You can also get in touch with customer service any time between 8am and 7pm M-F (MST) to request a new campaign, get questions answered or switch your account status.
You can also contact us at erica@wrapmatch.com and we can get you started with a new campaign immediately. Let us know!
I feel stupid for falling for this. Cancelled my account now wondering if they will credit my charge card the $9.99 I paid and not tack on anything else. Seemed plausible to me but... if it sounds too good to be true... it usually is. Wish I would have checked this website or BBB before giving out my info and my money. I feel so dumb. :( Please email me with your experience with this company, I'm interested in how many other people got their money back and their take on this company. *******@att.net
Just an update to my previous review. I did get a Wrapmatch decal after reluctantly giving premium membership a shot for a month or two. Im sure you can guess it was a waste of money, i could not see through the decal on rainy days and only lost money. When I tried to cancel they offered me the membership at a reduced price. I said ok but then decided not to go with it and tried canceling... I was charged twice that month once for the reduced amount and once for the full amount. Run away!
Completed an application with this company to make a little extra money by driving my car around wrapped with advertisement. Received a call from one of their representatives informing me that my application was accepted and that in order for me to get started, I must pay 29.99 for a background check, but today we are giving a discount of $20.00 and all I would have to pay is $9.99. I told them to Forget it. I will never pay for a job. Seems like this company is a rip off and makes most of their money from innocent people paying for this background check.
I was looking for a little extra money to help supplement my kids activities. I at first declined the background check but then they sent me an email with the heavy discount for $5.00! What could I loose? Then I got the information. I would be billed $8.97 for premium membership nut the 1st week is free. Then I read I would be paid in gift cards?. I guess that is to avoid 1099. I just sounded shady. Dummy me I did not read the reviews. So, after reading I sent an email requesting to cancel. They said before I do they upgraded me to a commission account. Still I am not keen on the fact that I have to pay to be matched with an advertiser and the shipment of that advertisers materials. So I sent another email requesting the form to cancel and have contacted my bank to block any future charges. We will see how this goes.
Reason for cancellation... Dear WrapMatch, Frating by BBB, online reviews, I should not have to pay to work, the sticker decal has damaged others cars should be a car magnet for advertising. (yes, they actually make those). Lastly, I asked to cancel the first day I was contacted by WrapMatch after the representative told me about paid membership. He transferred me to a voicemail where I had to leave a message!? I should NEVER have been charged in the first place. A background check that does not require a social security number does not cost what I was quoted, it's basically well, free so that is a scam. Oh and refusing a copy of the background check (which I asked for) is illegal too by the way which I'm sure you're aware of since you are operating as a "business".
I was with them for 4 months after I was offered a low-response campaign to advertise for. Never made any money and my attempts to communicate with them to change the campaign was met with silence. Its not fair that the company I put on my car gets all the free exposure but I still have to pay for their "premium service". Its not worth it, please try something else.
Glad I looked into this first! Didn't feel comfortable giving them ALL my information, Drivers License #, etc. And, they said I could pay the 9.99 fee by buying a pre-paid card at Walmart, or somewhere. I looked all over and couldn't find one for only $10. But, I still didn't want to give out my information not knowing anything about them. If you check the BBB Better Business Bureau, they have an "F Rating" and consumers have filed 20 complaints against them just since the first of the year! Just think of ALL the consumers that didn't go through the trouble and time of filing complaints. So, this is NOT Good! BEWARE!
This is for all of you who might consider using Wrap Match as an easy way to earn money simply by driving your car around town with a business "wrap" advertising for local businesses. Just to key you into several factors before you even think about applying for Wrap Match...
You will be asked to give your credit/debit card information over the phone, so that they can run a drivers background check which they say is $29.00, but will waive the first $20.00 for some special reason. This sent up red flags in my head - why do I need to PAY to WORK? Also, when I asked them if the company could send me something in writing, requesting my financial information, I would consider it. The response was for me to visit their website and then call them back and complete the process. WTF?!? This makes NO sense at all! Anyone can set up a website, that doesn't mean that you are not stealing money or identifications.
Finally, I read many comments about some people who have gone through the Wrap Match procedure, and I have read A LOT of disappointing reviews about people not getting paid and the "wraps" destroying paint on the person's car. I then visited the Better Business Bureau and found out that Wrap Match currently has a grade of "F" - which is the worst rating a business can receive.
So, my friends out there who are considering Wrap Match as a great new way to make quick and easy money... you might want to think it over a bit longer and then come to your senses. If it seems too good to be true, it is!
Better luck to you with something else... maybe stuffing envelopes from home, or basket weaving.
We keep getting charged a montly fee and are not using this company. I cannot locate ANYWAY to cancel this or contact someone. NEED HELP
Carol, canceling your optional premium membership is very simple. Please email your account manager, (erica@wrapmatch.com) or call our phone line 800.258.9062. You can also provide me your last name or email account here and I can take care of it for you. Happy to assist in any way I can!
I have had a terrible experience with them. It was a total waste of money. They try for the first two weeks to find you a match. End up not finding you a match and then forgetting about you. They will not refund your money. To top it all off it is hard to cancel from them. They do not have a phone number. Therefore you can only do email. I thought I had cancelled through email but apparently my membership person and their finance department never communicate. The finance department was like not my problem take it up with the membership people. Then found out I had to fill out a form to make it official, yet still got charged. This has just been a regretful pain in the $#*! experience.
Answer: I had it wrapped for 8 months and make nothing from them, I got ticketed by the state police for not carrying a commercial plate, and I am charged by wrapcar for a service fee of $8.95 for no reason. Do not do this.
Answer: Simple, THEY'RE A SCAM!
Answer: Because it's a scam! Don't fall for it. I joined and this and should have really checked them out first. I was lucky, I got my money back. Hope this helps!

We pay you up to $400 a month to advertise on your car. #yourewelcome
Hi Scott,
First off, we do actually run those background check/driving records. They are a MUST for the businesses we work with because they won't work with any of our drivers unless we have verified that they do not have any DUI's on their record. They require this for liability reasons which i'm sure you can see is a necessary thing in our case.
I'm glad we got you an offer within those 4 days, that is quicker than our average! With regard to the shipping fee, you are NOT required to agree to any campaign you're offered and can always wait for a different offer with different terms. Because you agreed to that particular campaign however, we had to process the payment before shipping because that is how our payment processor works with our shipping partner. We can't get around that so I'm sorry for the hassle. Most companies and people work like that however... think Ebay or amazon or any other service.
The $8.99 charge is for the optional premium service that we offered you and that is NOT required either. It sounds like you're a little confused about how everything works so below are a couple links that explain the process a little better. Hope that helps and that we can get you back on a campaign and making money!
