I just cancelled a $300 order because the Woolovers.us website never accepted something--but the site does not let the customer know what exactly is causing the problem. I thought the company might be refusing my PO box delivery address so I changed it to my physical address. No go. I was using PayPal as a payment method but thought that maybe the ZIP+4 code was being problematic so I removed the +4 numbers. No go. There's no toll-free customer service phone number for the company, and I'm not about to call a toll number at an unknown location. If this company is incapable of creating an informative, responsive payment page for its website, I do not trust it with my payment information.
I was a little Leary given some of the less than flattering comments. But the similar construct of those negative comments lead me to believe that an individual was posting multiple comments.
That said I ordered gloves for my wife. They arrived 3 day ahead of their promised delivery they are of good quality and she was thrilled with them.
I recommend woolover, good communication good quality.
When I recently received an order from WoolOvers, I inspected the sweater and noticed the garment label said Made In China! I was bewildered as I thought it would have been made in England as that is what all of their promotion on their website alludes to. Additionally, I am suspicious of the fabric content, as well. The sweater is supposed to be 100% two-ply cashmere, but this sweater does not have the soft, fluffy hand of cashmere. It feels more like a Merino wool blend. If WoolOvers can mislead a buyer into believing their products are woven in Great Britain then what's to keep them from misstating the fabric content, as well?
I will never again buy another jumper from this brand, I bought 4 jumps of which 3 of them peeled after wearing them only a couple of times. I have not even washed them yet. The only one that did not peel was one made of cotton the others were all Lambswool. Awful, awful quality they are all going in the bin!
Delivery today received from England for my two Woolovers cotton zip shirts.
It took only 6 days from order date to reach my house in Minneapolis!
The shirts are AWESOME, I ordered them for a cruise and I had hoped they would arrive in time, and now they are in my suitcase ready to go!
Great quality, fast shipping! I can't wait to order more when I come back!
And missing a trick in sales!
I was ready to buy a cardigan featured in an offer advertisement, but a blouse was also featured in the illustration (ot included in the special offer, but which I would also have bought. I phoned to ask if it was indeed a Woolovers product which I could buy, but was told that there was NO way that they could identify it unless I could provide THEM with a code - not shown in the ad!
VERY unhelpful to the point of being obstructive.
Missing a trick in marketing terms... and a loss of not one but 2 sales. Needless to say, thus irritated I abandoned the idea of purchasing the cardigan - and may likely not bother with Woolovers again!
I have been trying to contact woolovers for the last two weeks trying to find any information about my order. The phone number is ALWAYS busy, they have never responded to my emails, and it is impossible to find any tracking information. I will be disputing the charges. Thanks for nothing. Thanks goodness I have a backup Christmas gift!
I ordered 2 jumpers as Christmas presents on 23r Nov. By 7th Dec still had not arrived and are showing as at Hermes but with no delivery estimate. Rang Woolovers "Customer Service" team, they couldn't care less. Told me it would take 72 (3 days) to investigate when I said then what? I was told Hermes would deliver it or I would get a refund. Doesn't take the brains of an archbishop to know it will be a refund as it is lost. So will have to re-order from elsewhere and likely miss the posting dates I was working to. Spend your money elsewhere on a firm that values customers.
Over a several year period, I purchased a number of sweaters from WoolOvers. But in the past year their quality has gone way down. For example I bought two yak wool sweaters. They literally fell apart. I emailed the company and they did not have the courtesy to respond to my enquiry. I have several
Sweaters made by this company. The earlier ones are so much better. The newer ones are of a much thiner wool and have pilled badly. They no longer produce their sweaters in the U. K. and it shows in the very reduced quality of their products. As they got larger, they took to offering cheaper wool and inferior products.
I an individual who loves wool sweaters, and unfortunately this company no longer is worth the expense of buying from them.
I bought two coatigans from Woolovers: one, I needed to sew back on ALL the buttons as they immediately came loose/hung by a thread. The other one (which I still haven't worn) the buttonholes frayed. I will get around to sewing them - eventually. Although they look nice, basically, these inferior quality items were MADE IN CHINA. So, I don't know why they have the nerve to advertise under British Woollens.
I spent over 200 euros but my order never came. Please dont lose your money with these tricksters. Impossible to get a refund because they say the order was sent. Set of thieves!
I have ordered 4 jumpers from Woolovers (in two separate orders)
Apart from one, which I returned for replacement because it was too small - my mistake - I am very pleased with the quality and fit. The wool quality is not as good as the much more expensive Australian wool jumpers, but for the price at Woolovers, no complaints! The cashmere mix is lovely and soft.
The website is easy to use, lovely photos of real people wearing the clothes, excellent sizing chart for each garment and true representation of colours/styles.
Delivery time was excellent - only 10 days from UK to Australia, shipping price quite reasonable and packaging good.
I will continue to order from Woolovers, and highly recommend them.
The sizing is very inconsistent and if you have an exchange be prepared for a LOT of frustration. I sent a sweater back and enclosed the paperwork for an exchange -- for some reason they ignored. After over 6 weeks without any communications I had to send 3 emails looking for what was going on... they did not respond for a long time then suggested I start over!
Terrible, non-responsive service people - which is too back since the quality is pretty good.
This company has good quality items, but the "no fuss no stress no quibbles return policy" is anything but. I ordered a number of items from them, same size as I ordered in the past, everything arrives way too big. Can I return the stuff? Sure, no problem. Except I have to pay postage... to ENGLAND! Postage costs more than what I paid for the items, and my attempts to deal with the company went nowhere. Be careful when you order from these guys, if it's not right you'll be stuck with what you ordered.
I decided after having looked through WOOLOVERS catalogue and saw a linen dress my wife liked so as a surprise I ordered it from woolovers, not sure of sizes, I phoned to their sales dept and spoke to a very helpful assistant (apologies name alludes me) he went through the details so I ordered and paid for it, within a couple of days it had arrived well packaged, excellent service, and my wife was very pleased with her surprise dress it looked good the quality was first class and the price I thought was very reasonable for linen a natural fibre, good company very helpful would highly recommend it,
Ordered 5 jumpers over two orders. Large size was gigantic, large enough for a big girthed person. Medium sizes were too small and tight. Three jumpers, two of which were the same style and size but different colours, were all very different dimensions. When I mentioned this to the company, they were swift to blame the size disparity to incorrect laundering, even though the different sizing was before any laundering was done.
The jumpers also had a toxic smell which made my wife sick.
The quality is poor, the jumpers are sloppily made and their sizing chart means nothing to what you get. Avoid at all costs unless you want to waste money on something you can't wear.
While the products are good, the returns policy is dismal. I ordered a size M top and a size 12 dress using the size chart provided, received a size M top but a size 16 dress. When I emailed to inquire I was informed that because there is a discrepancy between UK and US sizing they made a conversion. When I asked why the size chart does not reflect this, how it was that only the dress and not the top was converted', and what would the company like to do to set things right (?) there was no reply. I then telephoned and spoke with a customer service agent who supported my concerns but said she could only respond by email and was required to consult her office manager first. Thus I received a second email almost a carbon copy of the first.
And so I am left with a dress that is far too big, and potentially two lots of overseas shipping charges which would approximate to its value, so no incentive to make an exchange.
The unhelpful attitude of (the manager of) the customer service department leaves the distasteful impression that the company wants overseas revenue but doesn't care about customer satisfaction. I am British living in US, very disappointed by this experience.
I am a lover of cashmere sweaters but not their usual prices so I was happy to find woolovers with a great selection of quality sweaters for a low prices. Thier cashmere-cotton sweaters have an average price point of $35 which is incredible! They have a huge color selection as well.
This is a the WORST company imaginable. Over the past ten years, I would order a sweater on sale: total number of purchases, four. On a recent order, my order was cancelled. I called this company and was told I had been "blacklisted." I had never heard that term used in retail and asked the customer service rep to explain. I was told I had been placing multiple orders, waiting until they were dispatched and then reporting the purchases as fraud to my credit card company. I was outraged and insulted to be accused of "stealing" Why would I do such a thing? I then asked if that were the case then they would have a record of these so-called orders. I was told they had no record. Then don't accuse me of something I would not even dream of doing. I thanked the rep saying, "I am glad I am 'blacklisted' because if that is how you treat customers I would not want to purchase anything anyway." For the next several months, this company kept sending me catalogs with 'BLACKLISTED' in large bold letters printed on the cover. It took several calls to politely ask them to stop sending catalogs. It was outrageous. Besides which the quality of their merchandise is so poor. A sweater I purchased a year ago with minimal use completely disitegrated. I had to toss it out. Don't waste your money or time with these people.
Ordered 5 items using their size chart (3 for me, 1 jumper for my son and 1 for my husband). The mens jumpers were so large it was incredible. The company's attitude? I can pay for return postage and get a refund of the jumpers and reorder the new sizes. Weeks of emails, no-one in Australia I can speak to, absolute FRUSTRATION! They take no responsibility for their incorrect sizing (which is a fault in my eyes!) and then expect you to pay for their faults. They are not cheap, as they claim to be, AND CERTAINLY NOT CHEAP WHEN YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR RETURN POSTAGE!
