Most are like new, some a little more well read, but this is always made clear in the description before purchase, and I've always been able to read the whole book which is surely what matters?!

It's a shame to read negative comments about World of Books. I've been buying from them for years and I have always been delighted with the books and their customer service staff. The books arrive very quickly and I'm always surprised by how really good the quality is. I have honestly never received a poor quality book. If I've had a question the staff are friendly and more than helpful and their response is always prompt. I believe that if you have an issue with ANY company it's best to go direct to them to resolve it, rather than leave negative reviews which don't help anyone. Can I suggest that if anyone has a problem they speak to World of Books themselves? For myself, I will continue to buy several books a month for me and my family from World of Books- it's not just because of their realistic pricing. They help charities and they recycle books which reduce waste and lessen damage to our environment. Carry on as you are World of Books- you are doing a fantastic job!

It has been a while since I discovered worldofbooks and they have been such a lifesaver since then! Had doubts when I first bought one of their books because I didn't know if there were gonna be any problems with the shipping, but not at all! Books arrived perfectly within four/five working days (and since I live in Spain I'd say that's pretty quick!). I've made A LOT of orders since then and haven't had any problems whatsoever! Books always arrive in perfect condition!

Al principio tuve dudas debido a que, al ser de España, no sabía si iba a haber algún tipo de problema con el envío, pero para nada! I have been using World Of Books for about six months now and I've never been disappointed with a delivery! They're advertised as second hand books, so of course there will be some aspects of wear and tear, and, let's be honest, you're paying for used books. However their books are still of an excellent quality, and everything arrives super promptly! I'm so grateful for this service, and I can't believe all of the negative reviews, as, like I say, I have had nothing but excellent service over the past six months. Couldn't recommend them enough!

I have used world of books several times over the past few years and I have never experienced an issue with them. The books are all second hand and you have the option of selecting the books condtion that best suits you so do take into consideration that they aren't brand new and will have some light to moderate use. Older books will have some yellowing of pages or small marks and stains but nothing you receive will be unreasonable or unreadable. My favourite part of buying pre loved books is finding the previous owners book marks or notes from gifts.
Delivery has always been fast even during the backlog of deliveries caused by covid. Easy to contact and active on Instagram so you know someone will always be ready to take any questions or queries.
I can't recommend world of books enough, they are a cheap and sustainable way of buying books which helps the environment!

I have done multiple orders with world of books and so far everything in good condition. Some books are in better condition than others but as long as there are no missing pages I'm totally okay with that. The order has arrived on the date estimated, in a matter of 2/3 days. I really like this website since it gives me the opportunity to read books I for a low price.

I placed an order on 8/29, they charged my card, and I haven't heard a thing from them Not one email confirmation. Not one! I sent 8 emails asking for a confirmation for my order, I haven't recieved any response. I created an account and the dashboard is show no orders. This is unacceptable! They took my money and never confirmed my order!

I am saddened to read the negative reviews because my experience has been completely different. I have made multiple purchases over the last 4-5 years, mainly of hard-to-get rare books. The books have represented good value, there is frequently a discount for multiple purchases and the postage is free.

I bought a book, they didn't confirm shipment like many trusted online retailers would (it's common sense to contact the buyer when you've shipped their stuff, right?!) I had to contact THEM to get a confirmation. They asked me to wait 21 working days in case I felt the urge to pester them for updates because, wait for it, the shipment wasn't tracked. It's an international shipment, wth wasn't it tracked? I waited two and a half months before contacting them again, they apologised and offered a replacement title. I accepted their offer and yet again they didn't contact me to confirm whether the replacement title was on its way or not. I didn't contact them about it except to ask for a refund. It shouldn't be this difficult to buy a book, and frankly, if it weren't for ebay's money back guarantee, I doubt I would have received my refund as quickly as I did. I know that this is USPS's fault too, but WorldofBooks should have confirmed shipment and provided an option for tracked shipments. It's the minimum for customer service and they couldn't even provide that.

WoB advertised 48 hour delivery and 'like new' quality. When the book didn't arrive, they didn't bother to respond to my first email. Book then arrived a week late and in poor condition. Instead of apology and refund, I have to go through a whole rigmarole: emails - sending photos etc. I ask repeatedly for a refund which they have so far failed to give me. Avoid. They lie about what they are offering and then you get appalling customer service and they add insult to injury by wasting your time.

I bought a CD, which was listed as "in very good condition". The parcel arrived on time, but was already opened?! The next shock was, that the case was in a poor condition(not nearly as described) and the CD sat loosely in there. That was the last time I ordered from them. Beware of those scammers!
Edit: I was recently contacted by the seller and received a full refund plus a 10% coupon, so no complaints about the service here.
