This site just changed its policies in the middle of our membership. Instead of 1000 contacts a month for $9.95 it went up to $19.95 which was fine. Then 2 weeks later they changed it to $99.95 for 100 contacts only. THIS IS INSANE! They think they can bully people like that? Unbelievable! Wish they had zero star option.
Started by looking for a high-school buddy. Results were bad info and false phone numbers. I followed up with a search on myself, and was surprised the find me associated with or owning homes I have never owned in towns/states I have never lived in, as well as family members listed that I or my family have no associations with or relation to. There is just enough publicly-available info to make a report seem valid, with "previous" phone numbers with the right area code, but when called are either dead or go to a business or public-service office you are calling. The old (ancient) 411 service, or (area Code)-555-1212 Directory assistance were more accurate in the day, but have also degraded to a level of the high-tech entities. I do not ignore the irony. I believe WhitePages.com is a scam providing easily available information, otherwise free, for a charge.
My husband is a top official with the department of corrections and I have requested several times that my information be removed from their website and still I see it out there with my name and address. There should be a law against not having your information out there if you opt out but it just keeps popping up. The fact that they keep posting our information on the site puts us at risk. Eventually felons do get parole.
Shame on this company stealing people's information and selling. I am surprised they can run this kind of business... where is privacy act?
Online support to remove does not work and they do not pickup the phone.
They have all my families information and that also wrong information.
We ran into a major problem because they have somebody unknown individual information included in family database.
Vultures where do they get people's information. Everywhere you go they make you sign privacy act documents. Yet these vultures have access to it.
Not worth the money. They changed my service from $29.00 to $69.99 overnight! They claim they have added more services, but none are services I would use, especially since the "added" services are items that should be included for the 29.99 price to make it worth it. This company is sketch! Very little info included in the subscription pricing. I will definitely find a better product elsewhere as there are many to chose from.
I have searched several people, myself included, on Whitepages and every single person has mostly incorrect information. There is some old correct info mixed in with the listings, but it looks like it just pulls all the information on the web into one name. So when you look up a name here you really just get information on the internet that is associated with the name, without regards to if it belongs to one person or twenty people. This is not a tool I would use for information on anyone as it is very inaccurate.
Listen, the service was useful and helpful and affordable. The only con is that you have to make sure, if it's being used once only, that you cancel before too long since it seems the auto-renew default option can bite you. That said, I want to say that on emailing customer support they were VERY prompt and helpful which I really appreciate. If I needed to, I would use them again and just be a little more vigilant.
This company (or whatever it is) took my money! I signed up for a five day trial for 1.00, then no info was available unless I paid 20 bucks. I immediately cancelled but they took 20 bucks anyway. SHAME.
IM REPORTING THEM TO REGULATORY AGENCIES.
I've had my cell phone number for at least a decade. White Pages lists this number to a man who is selling real estate. So I get phone calls at all hours from people wanting to buy his listings. White Pages claims their info is correct & refuses to make needed changes. White Pages also has me listed as having lived in cities I've never lived in or even visited.
Because of this I don't trust any info listed on White Pages.
I received an email from Whitepages that indicated some new information was available (for a certain individual) in the Premium Background Report. There was no new or even nearly new information in the report.
This is a bait and switch scheme plain and simple.
Beyond that - the 'Premium' report shows my residence as the subject's property. The other properties shown are all ancient history, of course.
There is nothing recent in the entire report, the most recent being a PO box from Aug 2018 (coming up on 2 years old).
Shows "1 criminal record" on every single person that is looked up... and I know for a fact, none of these people have a criminal record! Falsifying records for an online public page should be a criminal offense. It's free public information, a street address should not be so hard to get, much less pay for.
Ridiculous.
This company is not even make afford to search for correct data. My ex husband never live on the address I do and he has mine address. Also according this poor performance report we are still married. I do not recommend t his company to anybody unless you have money to waste and want have wrong information.
I did a check on myself and can't believe the number of mistakes. I don't know half the names of people related. They put the same speeding ticket in twice. Dates of places i lived are mixed up. One place I lived at for 10 years doesn't include street address, and description of property is all wrong. Would not depend on this website to check other people if they cant get the right information on myself.
I often get spam phone calls - we all probably do. I save the spam phone numbers and then look them up to see where they are coming from. I used to do this on the "Free" White pages web site. NOW... every single phone number that I put in, comes up as: "We Didn't find a Match". So now they want you to pay just to look up one number. And then the ads come up to pay now for their premium service. Yes - This really is a scam.
Somehow whitepages.com started charging my credit card. When I tried to log in or change a password, it says the account is disables. They have NO phone number to call them, as the one listed online (800 area code) is missing a number at the end of it. How convenient. They list every number on the planet, but don't have to list theirs. They also have a 206 area code number and when you call, they ask for the extension. If you try to hit 0, they hang up on you. These people are beyond sleazy!
A few years ago I tried to find information about my dad who died when I was 6. I paid and didn't get any information I didn't already have. Ok fine. But I've been getting new address and criminal alerts as if he's still alive. So they're sending me alerts and trying to charge for misleading and inaccurate information
Claim to have transparent pricing; however they have been charging me for months for a supposed "one time fee" of $9.99 without our agreement and disclosure. When I contacted the customer service, they were uncooperative and refused to remove the fees. Do not ever use this service.
I was using WhitePages.com to try to sort out identity confusion with my wife's medical records. I decided to search my wife's name and found a candidate. Then I checked my wife's profile. There were incorrect places of residence and incorrect family members in her profile. The criminal/traffic information is incorrect too. How can WhitePages boast they are providing good data?
Do not use this app. I did a couple of searches and all their information they have on the people and myself are wrong and from over a decade ago. Then the background report has false information. All these background report sites are reselling our old information to each other and not sure where they are getting the info from but they are totally off. They had my family members phone numbers listed as mine and much more. I requested to be removed immediately.
I had a paid account in 2014 to advertise a business with them. I realised they were incompetent so I didn't continue. They sent a bill to the debt collector $237 which remains unpaid.
The service is lame, the customer service is 4th rate at best.
Do not WASTE your money with white pages advertising. Go do your business cards etc. Get your name out there by yourself.
Answer: No. The brain dead knuckle dragging thieves who run that shithole of a site couldn't program their way out of a bag of dog-dookie. Idiots.
