What Happened?
February 23, 2016

My information use to be correct on white pages, now it has my name listed with mother-in-laws phone number and address. Sent requests to have it updated, but they say they are unable to update information at this time. What a joke, you would be better to make you own web page with your address and phone number than to rely on them. Had to pick one star to be able to submit, they don't deserve any

The 'results' from White Pages are often misleading and fake. Irrellivant results, invalid phone numbers, invalid personal connections to other people, etc. This is not a trustworthy site.

Total scam
May 16, 2021

I paid $10.29 and was charged another $1.50 for I have no idea what. Then ya have to pay extra for a report on someone. Why? That's BS, not to mention inaccurate information and definitely nothing up to date and current. All old info.

Out of curiosity I googled myself and found me on the site. It lists me in 4 different places and when I click the one that is closest to the truth of my information and where I live it claims it found information on me be on a sex offender list, aggravated assault. I panicked and checked with local authorities and I have no records/accusations of such things. They false advertise to get you to buy a membership with suggestions that the person you are searching for is evil. What a horrible scam.

The information available on Whitepages and other like (parasitic) services is publicly available. They take that information, transform it, and turn traffic infractions into "potential" criminal offenses in order to strike fear and paranoia into the hearts and minds of honest people (who become terrified that their identities may have been stolen, etc.) in order to stimulate a "membership" purchase. Beyond the bogus traffic-to-criminal misrepresentations in the "report" there's enough recon information to make an easy target of anyone. Time to file a class action lawsuit against WhitePages and others.

Inaccurate!
July 18, 2016

My records have gotten mixed up with those of at least 2 other people with my (relatively common) name. It says I have 26 arrests and citations! I've never been arrested & have gotten 2 tickets. When I tried to edit the information, I was told I couldn't, but I could have my listing removed IF I signed up for an account (ie gave them more information about me). Even then, some of my info is on the other people's accounts. Ugh. Just terrible!

I looked up one person in an attempt to locate a friend I had lost touch with. Somehow they have "No Record" of me cancelling the service after that search and I have subsequently been charged $19.95 per month for eight months. Even though they can see that I never used this service past the initial search, they claim that the 'terms and agreements' states that I agreed to these charges. Companies like this are the reason we all distrust online marketplaces!

Bait and Switch
June 9, 2018

I was using white pages find my father. I was able to locate him among the many listings, but after I paid for the service and they brought up the listing it was an entirely different listing than the one that I had chosen. I complained and got a form letter that was absolutely meaningless and had nothing to do with my complaint. This site is obviously a rip off.

White pages sucks
April 10, 2018

I use to love this site and I wrote reviews saying just how great they were. It was very informative and easy to go through. I was updated names on my school roster yesterday and after so many I was blocked unless I went pro. The way this site is now I wouldn't pay a penny a year. Just read the reviews. Mama always said "If it's not broke don't fix it" The new CEO apparently didn't know about that little trick. I use to tell everyone about the good this site was. Now I'll tell everyone how bad it is.

I wanted a single number & repeat monthly charges appeared on my credit card, it is a membership plan, not a single usage service. I am going tp put in the effort to reverse this charge from my credit card.

Don't be stupid & do what I did, run from this deceptive scam company.

It is a Scam.

They are totally dishonest. Once they have your credit card they start charging you every month 19.95 even though you haven't authorized it. I am contacting my bank and doing what I can on my end to get them prosecuted. They are evil.

Stay far, far away.
January 25, 2022

Expect multiple charges of $5, $10, or $20. I signed up for $20, and the background check that should have come with that was charged separately. I got a message saying my additional background check already paid for would expire, so I used the credit and was charged $4.99 im disputing the charges. Stay away from this group.

ZERO star performance
December 24, 2020

I have used this service and found it to be a waste of time and money. The reviews they get speak for themselves.
They do not respond to any communication and when you say something on their facebook page you get an automated response. I cannot cancel because they will not respond. Don't waste your money on this scam website!

Misinformation
April 22, 2018

Whitepages claimed that I had a criminal history. I paid the one time fee to see what this was as I have never been arrested nor charged with a crime.
The report on me said it was a traffic infraction from 26 years ago. These charlatans even put the word GUILTY next to my traffic ticket!
This outfit is deplorable and GUILTY of circulating false and misleading information.

Crappy Service
June 5, 2018

First off, back in April 2018 I used this service to check background of a person, was charged $18.99. After reading what the report said, I chose to ask for a refund due to lack of any and correct reporting. This month I went back to look at that same report, and I was charged ANOTHER $18.99. This site is a rip off, just another con artist looking for your money.

What a rip off
September 4, 2018

They give you a promise of results or a refund. They say they have two phone numbers for the person I am trying to contact. Both were dead, there was no useful information and there is no way to contact them to request a refund.

Stay away from this site. It is a rip off

White pages has my cell phone listed for someone else and they won't remove it from the fraudulent listing because I am not the account holder.

I talked to customer support and they say I can't do anything to rectify the situation.

This sucks. I paid $9.99 for a one time view for a "premium" look up on a reverse phone and absolutely no information showed up. They showed a name and address which did not come up after I paid. False advertising and should be reported to the BBB. Do not give them any money ever.

This freaken site listed that I lived with my ex sister-in-law who has accused me of being mentally ill to do such a thing and junk mail is being sent there in my name to add insult to injury. She refuses to believe I did not do this and has ordered a cease and desist order against me having all her relatives also calling and threatening me. I wish there was a way to sue Whitepages for the stress this created for all involved.
