If you have a disability, have an emotional support animal/service dog, or are pregnant DO NOT move here, there will discriminate against you find ways to add on fees for no reason. I currently reside here. Last week, May 6,2020, I received a letter stating that I committed a pet violation (for dog defecated on a neighbor's patio and not properly disposing the waste) of $300. I was emotionally under a lot stress, and feared that I would be evicted I paid the fee. The next day, I received an unsecure email from the leasing office stating that I owe another $100 for a pet violation which raised suspicion so I called the leasing office and spoke with property manager De'Andra Dooley. She said that my dog is a pitbull and that breed isn't allowed which she isn't she is a staffie, I informed her she was and she quickly rejected the fact and said it was the same thing she "looked it up". Anyone competent would know that these are two different breeds by size and stature. She said that she has video of my dog defecating on three different occasions on neighbor's patios without properly disposing of it, which I thought was weird because a Kroger's plastic bag is always accompanied when my boyfriend takes her out for quick cleanup and easy disposal. I asked for proof of the video and she initially said I can come down and see it for myself, but when I informed her that I am not capable of doing so because I am pregnant and don't feel comfortable doing so and told her my boyfriend (who is on the lease as well and always takes my dog out) would be happy to go down there she quickly changed her story and said the office is not open to the public. I said I need proof and she said that I need to "trust" her and she doesn't want any conflict. She assured me she can send the video clip to my email address of my dog committing those violations, she never sent it. Very concerned, I spoke with an attorney friend who knows my situation, said that my dog is considered an ESA dog, and suggested that I gather proof of the violations. I researched the current and active laws after our conversation and in fact my dog is an ESA and all I need, according to the Fair House Act is a ESA letter from my physician, so I requested it over the weekend( which my physician sent the week of May 11,2020). Also, the Fair Housing Act states that ESA are exempt from additional pet fees. I explained to the property manager in an email and stated until further proof is provided of my ESA defecated on neighbor's patios, I am contesting the $300 I blindly paid and the $100 that remains on my account. The property manager responded to my email on May 12,2020 and stated that she didn't know that my dog was an ESA and I have to show proof of that ( the ESA letter was sent from my physician). The property manager also stated that I would still need to adhere to the policy of picking up the waste but never sent the video that a pet violation was committed. My physician sent the ESA letter. I responded to her email and said that I still need proof of the pet violation, and I shouldn't have to pay for an additional fee and I want my $300 that I already paid. She never responded to my email. Instead, later that day on May 12,2020, created a whole new pet violation letter stating that my dog committed more violations such as not being on a leash or urinating and defecating on a neighbor's patios, which is absolutely absurd as my dog is always on a leash and has never walked up to a patio to urinate. She added on the leasing agreement saying that my dog can't urinate around a neighbor's patio without proper cleanup (which is another absurdity because how can you cleanup urine in a grassy area). The property manager, De'Andra Dooley also stated in the letter that if my ESA is not removed from the premises or if I don't pay the additional fee then I will be evicted and I have 14 days. The property manager never emailed me the video footage. My dog and I are being discriminated against. I am in the process of filing suit.

This company is a scam. They took advantage of me while I was out of state and had a death in our family.
I was trying to find my dad's oldest sister and apparently signed up and/ or didn't cancel on time. When I realized in December 2016 I was being charged I called and explained and was told it would be cancelled and refunded. They were courteous. I thought it was the end of it.
Recently, in a review of my finances and checking account while applying for a mortgage, my credit union alerted me that I'd had SIX MONTHS of charges. SIX MONTHS of $29.95 for a service I didn't want and cancelled- or was told it was. Now I call and was told that I signed up and it's all valid. I pressed and the representive blamed me and said well, we send a cancellation email and if you don't have one, you must not have called and it's not cancelled.
After disputing this repeatedly, she agreed to cancel and credit back two of the six months. I did not want that but I accepted it, and received my cancellation emails. So what did I get in return? The very next day, I had two months of credit and ANOTHER $29.95 charge.
A SEVENTH month charged. I called and another rep said well, you ordered this 10/3/16 so your May payment had already been processed. I tried to explain that the rep never mentioned that at all and I was continually blamed. I was told they creditors me two months, April and May.
I said look, I would not have agreed to another charge, that is absolutely wrong and riduculous, to be honest. Their CSR continued to spin his 'we can verify your IP address when you signed up'. I was appalled. I should not have to explain again and the rep basically blamed me for the fact that THEIR company doesn't show I called.
I'm filing an official complaint with my credit union and they are going to pursue this as fraud. I'm also calling an attorney and have complained on their website. I'll be reporting them to everything I can. I explained I don't even have a home phone and I know how to look up phone numbers for free, I did it for my job in a hospital billing office for YEARS!
I would NEVER pay $30 per month to search for a phone number.
This is how they make their $, prey on people, count on them to make a mistake, blame them for their mistake and then make it as difficult as possible to cancel, all the while continuing to withdrawal the payment out of my bank. I'm going to change my account number I've always had and I'm livid that it has come to this.
No more walking the pages with my fingers, now they want us to walk through our wallets. BOOOOOOOOO!

Many other reviewers hit the nail on the head. Whitepages takes personal information that is not public such as phone numbers, birth dates and family members and displays it on their site for everyone to see. Their opt-out doesn't work because once your "profile" is removed, they will put it back up within a month and hope you forgot about it. The most disturbing is that they publish personal/home/cell phone numbers and claim that they are public record. They arrogantly say they will not remove phone numbers from their site because "the phone numbers aren't attributed to a person" and they are "public record". But they forgot that if you click the phone number it goes to a page where they ask for your credit card info to purchase a report of the phone number, listing the owner name, address and other personal info. THEY PROFIT OFF OF YOUR PRIVACY AND PUT YOUR LIFE IN DANGER. So, they do have your personal info attached to the phone number which they claim is so mysterious. Also, everyone should know, in order to remove a name and address type of profile about yourself, you need to provide them a phone number to confirm that it is you. They have all your info and its for sale. Shut down those sub human filth once and for all. Submit a complaint to the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#&panel1-1 and through your home state's attorney general/governor's consumer protection division.

When I seeing the things, my computer warned me that whitepages.com is trying to accedd your system, allow or deny. I denied and got out of the site immediately. Guys these people are trying to hack people's system I guess. Stay e Awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... I tried to remove that one star. But it said its the worst star...
