During a routine app update the app crashed and lost all of my data.

This app should come with a warning:
ALl files and messages are saved locally to your phone (and tied to your current SIM card, so if your phone gets lost or stolen, bye bye messages) and they are ONLY on your phone unless you connect iCloud or Google Drive in both your iCloud settings AND in the app settings.

Unlike accidentally deleting photos from your phone, there is no trash, once a message is gone, or your entire history is gone, it is GONE, even if it's because of their own faulty app update like in my case.

Ever since importing WhatsApp to my new iPhone, I can't get in touch with any of my contacts. I granted WhatsApp access to my phone's contacts, and I can clearly see my contacts in my phone's contacts database, but WhatsApp doesn't see any of my contacts. I've troubleshooted and troubleshooted this. No go. So if someone asks to be contacted ONLY through WhatsApp, my only recourse is to send them a message via my iPhone that I'm TRYING to connect with them on WA.

An absolute nightmare trying to connect with others. If you have someone's #, why can't you JUST text the person directly through WhatsApp? Why all these hoops that frustrate the experience of... a simple messaging service? Google Voice & WeChat are FAAAAAAAR easier and more direct and more reliable.

WhatsApp is very similar to Skype but only better. WhatsApp is the app that everybody uses nowadays to communicate with others. I personally don't know anyone that doesn't have WhatsApp.

It's really annoying when you keep getting so many fake forwards and messages from random & unknown people who keep forwarding such messages and may get benefits from it.
How whatsapp allow such spam activity to happen and fraudulent people and websites to do such fraud.
And There should be a feature that should only allow an unknown person to send a friend request and not a message directly. And if we know a person, only after adding him or her, he or she should be allowed to send messages.
And also there should be a feature that should allow app user to choose what kind of messages we want to receive and what we don't want to receive.
I felt that people here fool innocent people with some fun and spam activities by misusing the names of Genuine websites and asking them to forward the message to 10 or more people so you would get benefits and miracle happen to the reader. I think such noscense messages should not be allowed on such a social app that has huge usability and following. And also one knows that the app is free of cost and help many people to exchange messages and call each other for free. But It would be helpful if there would be safety and security on whatsapp that would allow people to trust them. I discontinued the services as I was not able to get the solution of so many such bad and negative things happening to me on this app.

I use this app on a daily basis and haven't run into any issues. I work night shifts, though, and sometimes can't text people right away as it's too early in the morning, so a 'timed message' feature would be very helpful. Similar to a scheduled mail just setting the time and date for a text to be sent so I don't have to worry about forgetting/texting too earlyInstead of improving and adding useful functions it takes them away. Now you can't press on the name or number of a person in a group and message them directly... it now shows you their picture, so you have to look them up in the long list of group members if you want to contact that person in private. Then, how come they didn't yet add the function of scheduling messages?!? It's so useful for busy people and for those times when you remember too early or too late in the day to message someone.I would not recommend WhatsApp to be used for businesses. However it is very helpful for individual usage. It delivers quick, timely, functional, and consistent communication between any two individuals over half decent Wi-Fi. It has its kinks to it, like kicking you off once you start running low on storage, or automatically downloading the photos of friends when you forgot to unselect that option. But over all it is a great program to use! I am very satisfied whatsapp messengerIt's a good app but I've been facing "reconnecting" issue for a long time. Whenever I receive or make a call, 1st thing that appears, is reconnecting and then breakdown starts. It happens time and again during every call. That makes me hard to have a conversation with anyone. I would like to request to resolve this issue. I'm unable to have a conversation with anyone while the issue is there. Thank you.
