It should be a simple process to make payments using the app. I have not had this many errors and phone calls on trying to set up online payments with any other car loan. Next dealership that suggests Wells Fargo, I will tell to find another or not buy the vehicle.

Wells Fargo held my funds in escrow for 9 days before they released it into my account. For me to have waited that long for my money was highly objectionable. Also, the bank is full of service fees with zero benefits offered to their customers.

Tyler at Wells Fargo Customer Service provided some of the best customer service I've ever had! Never once did she say "no" or "I can't help you." She was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. She went out of her way to solve my problems. If I ever need to call again I hope that she answers the phone!

I was recently was pretty much wiped out by some savvy scammers. They actually reached to me via. 5 digit wf number that I had received texts from in the past! (Still in my phone). The wf rep even said this was new to her as well. Never been a victim of such before and I'm pretty vigilant. This trick was very detailed. Even got a follow up call the next day only to be gotten AGAIN! And I didn't even give any personal info! It's all about the phony "identity verification" codes and this "We declined 1k charge from account ending …was this you? Reply YES or NO. If yes, you will be charged unless you try again. If no, we will close your card and send new one". You must READ totally. Never assume it says what you think it says. They're tricking people everyday!

Personal account information is easily accessed. Right when you get to the site, you can easily see the login boxes. Then you're immediately presented with all of your account information. Simple and to the point. But I'll be critical when it comes to finding information about other financial services. The search feature isn't that great and paging to what you're looking for can be quite tedious. So I'll give it a Coooooool rating.

They posted a social security check early and they Always DD but this time right before Christmas they said SS hit five days 5 days early, and when I called the regular date SS said posted Again, I called the bank to make sure. The bank agent said we were overdrawn by over 800.09! So I have never found the deposit for the 17 the and they finally said our account wasn't negative. Then they said blamed social security saying they do not direct deposit. This is simply untrue, as when it was set up my SS worker set it up five years ago direct deposit and it's always hit direct deposit! 3 rd wed of BD! And they said they received five days early, and again yesterday. They I guess I need another bank as messing with an older person's widow benefits is really really low.
They're also as I just checked again now saying my cable bill is recurring and I didn't ever set that up and spectrum agrees with me?

I am a care taker for a wounded vet. My care left his wallet at a gas station so we called customer services as soon as we got back The wonderful woman's name is Arnie she was attentive she spoke clearly and helped my charge with canceling his card so his anxiety would be at ease thank you Arnie you're the best! Hopefully your superiors see this and give you a raise! There should be more people like you at the bank! Have a wonderful day!

Sincerely Grateful,

Fake account
October 9, 2023
Updated review

I got the Active Cash card a couple years ago then got PC'd over to the Autograph card. I've never had any problem with my Wells cards, their fraud team,:or customer service bankers. When I set up the app a couple years ago it says I've been a customer with them since 2002 which is bull because I have only been with Wells 2 and a half years not 21 as the app says. I have never banked with Wells Fargo up until i got their credit card a couple years ago. I called in about a supposed account with my name on it that i didnt know about thinking theyd pull something up but nothing. I asked why my app says ive been with them since 2002 when i know i havent been but they insist I've been a customer that long. I heard someplace the bank set up a whole bunch of fake accounts so I wonder what the deal is with my record over at Wells F.

I couldn't be any happier than I am with Wells Fargo Active Cash and most recently the Autograph card. I like the 2% flat cash back from Active Cash that was relaxed this past year where I can redeem to statement in any amount. I was switched over in a targeted offer to upgrade to the Autograph card which features even better rewards. Their fraud team actually beat me to a bunch of fraudulent transactions on my account. Wells Fargo notes I've been a customer since 2002 on an account I set up when completing university then closed thereafter. There is nothing to dislike about Wells Fargo credit.

In January 2024, I set up my payments to be auto-paid from my checking account, but when I checked my online activity, no payment was made on the due date of February 16 (or any day in Feb.) and the statement said next payment due was March 16. So, I called Wells Fargo and spoke with one representative, who then transferred me to a second representative, with no answer from either rep. The second rep put me on hold to speak with a third rep, but all I heard was music playing in the background for 20 minutes. The 2nd rep checked in with me a couple of times to make sure I didn't mind holding. But after being on the phone for a total of 43 minutes, I hung up. So, just to be safe, I went ahead and made a payment online for February. This experience was absolutely ridiculous.

On the heels of paying billions in fines a few years ago for scamming people, apparently they didn't learn their lesson. Their latest grift is the 'extra day' grace period. In reality, there is no grace period. You still have to cover any overdrafts the VERY SAME day because they count the extra day as the clock strikes midnight. In other words, they count the extra day when the clock goes from 11:59pm on the day the overdraft hits to 12am.

Given enough time, wells fargo will find away to separate you and your money.

I've never had trouble with them other than their credit card monitoring of miserable online merchant accounts. You have to really be on your toes watching out for hackers, unauthorized purchases and make sure your reward points are being added up in a timely manner. I've got over 150 points that say, "pending" when they should be available as of a long time ago. Forget their way-2-save savings features... its the old shell game. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. You're both Peter and Paul.

My best friend just told me another story about these scumbags!
Why don't you level with people Wells?
We did some really awful things... so much so that Netflix wrote a documentary about us. The government came in and kicked our butt and now we cant loan anymore money than we currently have loaned out! You know... the truth!
Hopefully the Feds break them up just enough to flush down the toilet!

Wells Fargo turned me down for their cash back credit card three times. I have an exceptional credit score of over 800 and have money in the bank. So it seems to me that they are only looking for people with poor scores who are more likely to pay their exorbitantly high interest rates.

No matter how much money you have with them over say 25 years. The one second you go below the balance for an individual account they add a fee. Also if you use another ATM Wells Fargo also charges you 2.50. Is it my fault you bank doesn't have enough ATMS. It's pathetic and after 25 years I'm leaving.they are terrible. There should be a NEGATIVE star rating they deserve minus **************

Calling Wells Fargo customer service involves about 10 minutes of wrestling your way through a menu finally to get a human being. Most of the outgoing messages are in both English and Spanish. You don't get to make a choice you hear both. Time spent. The so-called "bankers" who assist you don't really care about what they tell you – they just make things up. That's been my experience. They are not held accountable either. If you make six phone calls, you will get six different answers. When something goes awry with their rewards program, they take very little responsibility and further delay issuing your rewards for an extremely long time.

I wake up one morning with my bank account emptied out and me my daughter and my pregnant wife live off that money you let other steal out my bank account. I filed a fraud claim with no worries about getting my money back because I didn't make the transaction. But then they tell me it came from my IP address and they're not giving me every single dollar I have in life back. I was two weeks late on my rent, I still haven't paid my power bill. Thank you well Fargo for ruining me and my families new life together, I'm glad you guys are making millions off holding people money captive. Never would I have thought that I would get money stolen out a bank account. $#*! you Wells Fargo

I've been fighting the bank to regain access to my online account for over 3 months now. The only way to check the amount of money in my account is via phone call through the horrible automated system. They use voice recognition as their security, (which is one of the easiest ways to access that information), and it rarely works to begin with. Ive been given the notification to "change my password to regain account access" and every time I do, nothing happens. Their security is awful and their customer service is just as useless. I'm so tired of having these issues when I am simply trying to start a small business. I can't even access my account number without physically going to a Wells Fargo location. Go with LITERALLY any other bank. The overdraft fees alone should be enough to scare anyone away.

Simple phone call to ask them about my credit card introductory promotion offer. Should have been quick and painless. Instead, these folks made it a challenge and were simply some of the rudest "customer service" employees in the industry. They have their canned answers ready, are pushy, impatient, and exhibit zero customer service skills. Downright rude across the board. All of them. Simply UNFRIENDLY and RUDE. No excuse for it.

They do not treat their longtime customers good. I, along with many of my friends and business associates who have been their customers for almost 20 years or more feel like they do not take care of us. It is very hard to grow your business if you are counting on Wells Fargo to support you along the way. Also, a lot of turnover so the Banker you were just starting to build a relationship ends up leaving before you really get anything accomplished.
