Here in Wood county West Virginia. Waste management is the only company that does not offer recycling. Roughly 3 different organizations you can choose from and yet they are national plus the largest organization to choose from. So I ask are they really thinking green? Then to charge you $20 if you don't have a hardhat & vest to go to Drop off at the landfill. Straight up asinine, waste management I'm sorry I'm done with you
This is the worst company. Bill always paid on time. Always ever increasing. No one answers phone. No one responds to LIVE chat. I finally got through (after hold 45 mins) last week after dumpster was not picked up. The guy guaranteed it would be picked up this week! And that we could set trash even next to dumpster. NO PICK UP! We have had services with CGS and Waste Management for Over 15 YEARS. It is not a new address! They just skip and YOU Cannot get through to a live person! THis is the worst company! I even saw the trucks go up and down our street many times!
This company is horrible when I say horrible it's even and understatement. I called and told them that we no longer need their services because the place we are moving our business to provides us with free trash service. Well they tried to make it almost impossible and then the harassing phone calls and emails became nonstop. Then when that doesn't work that start with insulting phone calls. I am now forces to file a police report and will be hiring a lawyer to send them a warning before I sue them for harassment. You have been warned please becareful with this company.
Sat on hold for well over a half hour. Finally someone named Christina answered on the customer service to free line they provide on the website. She could not help me because she was in Michigan, but asked if she could put me on a one minute hold while she connected me with someone in Arizona. I sat another 5 minutes on hold before I was disconnected. Called back right away and got a recording saying they were closed. I was calling because I put our service on hold in June while we were out of town for the summer. I went to their automated online pos sure and found out my account was inactive and I owed almost 500 dollars! My account was at zero when we put it on hold in June. I just wanted to know why and start my service up again but after today, I am going with another trash provider and my account can just stay inactive. Dave yourself the headache. Find a local trash service, not Waste Management.
They bought out their competitor. Price jumped 50% after a few months. Canceling is BRUTAL! 117 min...but I think I'm done with them. Customer service is worse than the bottom of the trucks on a hot August day after a town wide fish fry.
I would give a 0 star if I could. They have missed my trash pick up almost every single week for months now. I call multiple time a week and nothing ever gets resolved even after I talk to a manger. Absolutely ridiculous service and customer service!
Do not subscribe to this trash company. They are ridiculous and does not have good management. They didnt pick up my trash for 9 weeks and it's still there. I kept calling and no keep tabs of the calls and what was discussed or promised. If i can say all the profanity in the world i would right now, that's how many inconvenienced I am!$$%%!
On the Waste Management website under "How it Works" for the Bagster, it lists Roofing as one use of the Bagster (see attached screenshot). BUT once the bag is full and you go online to schedule a pickup, you are required to enter your zip code upon which you may learn that roofing material is limited in your area. The problem is that at this point you've already bought and filled the bag. There is no mention on the website or on the Bagster packaging that there are limits on roofing material, only on landscaping material. Now you're stuck with a purchased Bagster bag, full of garbage that Waste Management will not pick up. This was my experiences.
Do not use this company if you have a choice. Canceled my service 3 weeks before the next bill was due. They came next day to pick up the can. After 3 months they are now calling trying to collect money when they actually owe me money. Will start you at a good price but will raise the rate every month until you are paying double what you started with. Mine went from $26 to $42 in a year. The people who collect the trash are good and nice people but the corporation leaves a lot to be desired.

We had our trash emptied today and when welooked inside the bin, wefound that 1/3 was not emptied. I called Oakland WM and they told me that i have to pay for a service call. I asked for the video of unloading and it clearly shows that the driver did not shake the bin twice; only once. I spoke tot he manager and got nothing. They just focused on charging me. WM has a terrible customer service.
As you can from the picture, it is no compressed nor stuck. Just needed another shake
I would give this company a negative number if I could. They have not picked up trash for three weeks saying its because of weather but other trash companies have had no problems picking up neighbors trash each week. I called there customer service number and they told me an area manager would give me a call within 24 hours no call was ever received. Do not use this company if you have other choices even if it's more money. We have made a switch to a more reliable service.
I go to the dump with my trash and now I am getting billed for a compost trash can that I do not need or want. This should be against the law! So the people that can not afford this service should do what?
And how are you going to raise your prices but cut service back to once every other week. I wish more people would protest this nonsense!
Terrible service and customer service doesn't exist. Took 4 days with continuous calls to finally get my trash picked up and supervisors wouldn't return my calls. On top of that they increased their rates for poor performance. Final straw was they broke my lid while emptying it.
Drove right by container with no pick up of any in the alley, then claimed to office that they could not get in the alley because of snow, lie, lie, lie. If the driver lied about that, what else is he lying about. Local office could have cared less about the problem. Typical of a company who has a lock on the town with a contract that prevents other companies from providing services.
Terrible service, bad communication.If you are in some past due even for small amount, for month or two, they will stop your service on 90 degree outside, without any notification or warrning. They deserve 0, not 1 star.
Rio Rancho NM - paid for 2 totes, 2 totes on the curb spaced several feet apart. Only picked up 1. Tried to get them to come back by calling, reporting, etc. but would not. Wish there was another company to go with. I now I understand why I see dumped trash on the side of the road.
Rented a dumpster. Driver arrived. Driver said dumpster wouldn't fit in drive, without blocking garage and driveway. Was at my home 5 minutes. He got back into truck, and left. I received a bill for $303.23. I didn't receive their service. The bill was for recovery fee, fuel charge, administrative fee, processing fee. Avoid this company, they will scam you.
If I had a choice to give no stars, I would. The dump truck operator refused to pick up my garbage bin this morning. He stated that my truck was blocking the bins. My truck is about 10-12 ft away from the bins and for the most of part, the truck is in the driveway. Just the bumper end is in the road. My truck is about 11-13 ft away from the bins. The operator is coming from the right side of the house. The neighbors bins is not too far away from mine. He can easily pick up my bin without any issues. Let's say, if he is having a hard time getting to the bin, he can take the 3 seconds to back up to make it work. For God's sake, the dump truck has a mechanical arm that goes out to grab the bins. This is not the first time I had issues with them. I can see why they have a 1.5 star rating. Please see attached picture and judge for yourself.
This is the 4th time my garbage was not picked up! I called the office and they were closed and it's almost 9am! They are not dependable and have the nerve to raise their prices or discontinue your service over a late payment. They also charge ridiculous fees to restart service if your service gets stopped due to a late payment. There prices do not match their service. Then when you check the system regarding your service schedule, the system lies and marked that your garbage was picked up as it currently sits outside my house. One time this happened we were on vacation. So my garbage sat in front of my house for a week and I could do absolutely nothing. No once a month free bulk pick up, no perks but continue to raise their prices. I have so many other things to worry about besides whether my garbage will be picked up or not. I will be looking for another dependable garbage removal service.
When calling the office for missed service, replacement barrels, large item pick up, and oil pick up, they are at the mercy of field operations. They promise tasks to be completed but 90% of the time it is NOT completed. The office promises results but you know the task(s) will not be completed in a timely matter.
Answer: Apparently it is how they conduct business by being as rude and unethical as possible. I hope they did not steal from you as well.
