Styles were not contemporary at all. It felt like I was shopping in my frumpy middle aged aunts closet who gets her clothes from the back bin/discount rack. Prices were excessive for basic pieces of clothing. Save yourself the $20 styling fee and just take a trip to Dress Barn, Fashion Bug or some other RIP retail store.
I ordered three boxes total and kept items from each. I could tell that my tastes were being consulted and the pieces were mostly of a very high quality. I would definitely use this again, especially for the convenience factor.
Thank you so much for choosing Wantable! Let us know if you ever need anything. ❤️
Extremely disappointed, do not purchase anything from Wantable...I bought an edit, 3 months later I wore the sweater from the edit, hole was found in the front side, contacted Wantable and they told me they are Sorry, but nothing can be done about the purchase so I'm out $59.00 and they're out a customer.
Sizes are never right. Quality Is low and the prices are insanely high. They harass you to return the stuff you don't want even after you checkout and threaten to charge your card for the full amount if you don't. I received so many emails. Cancelled subscription immediately.
Stitch fix is so much better in every way.
I have received 2 shipments thus far and only kept 1 item from each. The prices for most pieces are exorbitant. A "sort of" good t-shirt - $39 is way too much. Cheap necklace similar to something at Clare's in the mall $32.
Also - when I view the "feed" to thumbs up or thumbs down products that are available, 90% are a thumbs down for me. I guess I'll go back to Stich Fix, even though their items were becoming very cooker cutter before I cancelled during covid. I would not recommend Wantable.
In each box I might receive 1-2 items that I actually like, but the prices are outrageous. $75 for a pair of average *sweatpants*, the jeans are never under $100, $65 for a band t-shirt you can get at the mall for $20. It's just not worth it. They keep sending me silver jewelry even tho I request gold. I'm a tat artist & asked for a grunge/rocker style- but some of the items are just plain old lady-ish. Cancelling my sub.
I filled out my edit information to suit my style. There is good opportunity to define your style in detail.
That being said, I asked for no orange family colors. Received several. I like solids; I received prints. I didn't ask for shorts but received the same pair of denim shorts twice. I don't know if they plugged my age in and sent me what they felt was age appropriate but wasn't. I'm 64 and I dress appropriately for my age, but my stylist (or algorithm) thought I should receive grandma's wardrobe, The last box was $428. I've sent every item back except a cute pair of silver earrings.
Lastly, my experience was that I could not cancel my subscription online. I had to email customer service to cancel.
I was not expecting Ann Taylor quality clothing, but the prices seemed to indicate they thought the quality was similar, but not in my opinion.
I'm having more luck looking a Pinterest boards.
They do have an amazing return system, which in my case was very helpful.
I just received my first box today...I am so impressed! All seven pieces are amazing, and exactly what I wanted! Four of the tops were too big so I will be sending them back and requesting them all in one size smaller. I despise shopping in retail stores, and I am too nervous to buy things online - this will be the perfect alternative for me. Thank you Wantable!
I use to receive other clothing deliverables from competitors and Wantable by far has listened to my style needs. I had two style edits arrive this past week and out of 14 items 12 of them were PERFECT! My stylist Katrina hit a home run with these edits. Thank you
Kelley
Even after writing my wants recommendations as requested for stylist I STILL receive ridiculous borderline ugly poor choices.
Jewelry (3 out of 5 pieces) broken.
Over and over I keep stating my age, profession AND that I live in Houston, Texas... 95 plus muggy degrees... and yesterday 4-16-22 get an incredibly heavy thick pullover tight scratchy sweater! I could not believe it. The other 4 tops look worse n cheaper than items I've found on discount clearance rack of Walmart at 15x the price. SEE ALL PICS BELOW. And now I'm the one out of stylist fee and I have to package and send back. I'm done.
This is a horrible place to work they don't care about their employees all you are is a number it's all about the business and fattening their pockets not about you at all as an individual they think lunch here and there makes up for it all also the managers are rude and smart mouth and never get disciplined for the way they treat you
I will say that generally the clothes are definitely overpriced. I did get a 'coatigan' in my first box. I really loved it but it was $120. I looked it up online and found the exact same Liverpool coatigan online for $70. I saw that Wantable price matched so I reached out to them to ask to match the price. The customer service rep was persistent that the two coatigans were not the same and that the Wantable one was 'slightly different'. I returned the coatigan to Wantable and purchased the coatigan elsewhere for half the price. I got the one I ordered and of course it was exactly the same item. If Wantable has actually price matched the item I might have gotten another box, but due their insistence that it was not the same piece it seemed like they would do anything to not price match and be an ethical company so I will not give them any more of my business.
Decided to give this a try since I kept seeing ads with them claiming to be better than Stitch Fix...that's a LIE. Received over priced crappy clothes. A plain white T-shirt that looks like it's from Walmart for nearly $50 & other outrageously priced, not so nice looking clothing. Then I "checked out" on my due date, marking ALL items as a return & I popped it in the mail & then I get an email saying they will CHARGE me for ALL items since they don't have the return! Stitch Fix doesn't do this by the way. So I called & they had to do an "extend check out" date for me (which makes NO SENSE since I mailed items & checked out on the EXACT date they told me to. I'm angry that I wasted $21 as a style fee to get a box of crappy stuff from them. Don't recommend. Stitch Fix has better quality clothes & was less expensive.
I used the shipment box for a couple of months and only kept one item from each box because everything is so expensive. One month the box got lost and they tried to charge me for it, they had no way of tracking the box that made me nervous and didn't want to order anymore. I tried to place an order later and they blamed the lost box on me, wish I would've kept a copy of my receipt. The customer service is very rude and they repeat theirselves instead of listening to your concerns. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
This has been a horrible experience first they locked my account without telling me why or sending and email. It turns out it was because I had a dispute through my bank with them and they said I have to remove it first. Then I paid for an order and it said it shipped then 2 days later I get an email that they canceled it also with no reason at all as to why it is canceled.
I will not every use this service again. The clothes are way too expensive and they ignored my budget completely. On top of that, when I told them I wanted to turn everything they gave me just a few days to send everything back and threatened to charge me the full amount when I missed the ridiculous deadline (even though I'd already emailed them the day before asking for another extension). Worst subscription service ever.
Yes, the prices are a little high, but that's something you can control by choosing what price range you want. I received my first box in less than a week of signing up and I was HIGHLY satisfied! I have been doing StitchFix for a little over a year and lately they cannot get my style right, so I decided to do Wantable. I was so impressed because they got my style completely on point! I ended up buying 3 items and cannot wait for the next box! I see a lot of comments about the 3-day time limit, which to me seems perfectly reasonable. I work 6 days a week & I am a full-time mother and can try on and send the items back in less than 30 mins. Definitely worth trying, just make sure to be honest in the questionnaire and you should have no problem getting what you like.
I wish I had read these reviews, these people keep emailing me everyday about checking out, I never received any items from them so why are they trying to debit my card for $344.00, what's really up with them.
The only issue I had with Wantable is yes the clothes are a little pricey but if I receive excellent customer service, The prices don't really bother me. You either keep it or send it back anyways. My problem was they only give you 3 days to try on. And when you call for extension they can only extend 3 days more. That definitely does not work for me. I am with Stitch fix and they are totally different. They allow as much time as you need which makes me stay because I have time to relax and review. This technique Wantable is using with this 3 day window makes me feel like at a rush to buy the clothes. So I have decided to stay with Stitch fix and let go of Wantable due to that reason. Hope your policies change in the near future
Every month they ask that you review the previous month and also add a note for the next shipment. I am not sure why, the stylist never seem to read the note. I have requested items for specific events and sometimes receive a box full of items you would never wear for that occasion. This has led to several disappointing boxes mixed in with one or two good ones. Katie in customer service has not been helpful ever. I have called and spoken with her twice and she was both rude and offered no solutions just excuses. Their boxes have also taken weeks to be mailed out and it usually takes another full week plus just to arrive. I have been helped by both Tracy and Rachel as well. Both have handled customer service issues for me and been very helpful.
Wantable has a rating of 2.8 stars from 44 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Wantable most frequently mention and customer service. Wantable ranks 23rd among Subscription Shopping sites.
