I was called and offered a promo vacation. This required a $250 deposit to be given back in the form of resort credits and a $114.84 insurance package. I paid all of the above. A week later, I hadn't received my email confirmation and called the agent back. I was told I didn't qualify and shouldn't have been offered the promo even though I wanted to keep it. They said they would refund my money. It took 60 days to get my $250 back but no response on the $114.84 insurance fees. I've called numerous times and they just keep saying it takes more time. It's now going on 90 days and they tell me the same thing, I'll call you back as we check into it. Although, I don't get call backs at all. They really don't value the customer and follow up with THIER vendor. I paid the money to them when they requested it. They should pay me and seek the refund themselves. They just don't have any concerns about helping me get what it mine. By the way, I am a Grand Luxxe owner, the top of the line. I would give them a zero if the rating would let me. DON'T buy a timeshare here.

I'll be brief since many people already know about how underneath a nice and luxurious resort, there also exists a fraudulent industry in charge of harassing people and telling lies to them.
I have owned timeshare for quite some time and in this last occasion I had a proposal of trading my existing timeshare with a Sister Resort at Vidanta Riviera Maya (Mayan Palace, Mayan Jungle, etc.) and get 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath free upgrade. Never happen, only got 1 BR, 1 BA and only if available.

Don't get sucked in. As members you get treated like crap now. It is all about hooking the next sucker. It used to be 5 star but now the service is more like a 2 star. The sales pitch was brutalizing, insulting and traumatizing. The best entertainment is watching people loosing their minds trying to get what they paid for in the lobby.

Please read all the reviews before considering this place. Although it is a beautiful complex it is a world of its own isolated and far from everything. Everything here is overpriced and grossly expensive. But the worst part is that you are constantly harassed here by sales pitch and everyone trying to sell you timeshares and all that nonsense. It is a hectic, crowded place with subpar service and food for the price you pay. Sales efforts are aggressive and start from the airport. You're constantly harassed here by the sales staff trying to sell you something. And they advertise outside the resort to be something else just to bring you to their sales presentation

The sad part is that Americans are behind this high-pressure sales drama. Don't be a small fish to these whales. You just can't say no, please do not judge the Mexican people for this scam.

Beautiful
July 25, 2022

We just got home from NV. We had an incredible time. The food was top notch, the service was fantastic, and the weather cooperated. We had 14 people with 3 units: a one bedroom GL loft, a two bedroom GL villa, and a 4 bedroom residence. All units were great.

We ate out for almost all meals and loved almost all of it.

Just a couple of thoughts on the food:

*Five of us ordered the scallop risotto at Brezza…it was not a hit.

*One of the best and least expensive meals was at La Cantina.

Spatium is one of the best spas I have been to.

If you have not had an opportunity to go to Rhythms of the Night in Puerto Vallarta, all 14 people in our party thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had family pictures taken on the beach. The photographer was fun and the pictures are beautiful. We loved the photographer, but we very and the photographs were so good that we will use them again.

They tried! Ha Ha Ha
January 15, 2023

My husband and I were on our anniversary vacation, and was told by Jesus from the airport to try a new resort, he even gave us a bottle of cheap liquor, and gave us a ride to our resort RIU in a 2023 suburban. We were like ok we are not busy so let's give it a look. So Jesus came to our resort to pick us up but guess what he was not in that 2023 suburban he was on a motorcycle we had to wait on a taxi that they paid for. Once we arrived we were greeted by snakes the best part about this game recognize game. They ask for a credit card with visa logo so my husband gave a closed account all we wanted was the free breakfast and the FREE MASSAGE. To make a long story short once we realized that this was indeed a timeshare we must have said no 1,000,000,000,000.00 so breakfast and that one hour turned into five hours I must have went to the bathroom 100 times and got fresh air 200 times. Of course we didn't get the massages and PePe was sad I guess because we said no. It was like we were cancer nobody walked us out smiling like they walked us in smiling and a$$ kissing. We were on our own with 250 pesos to go back to our beautiful resort RIU which they put down several times but guess what we didn't give them contract for a hundred years oh but thanks for the breakfast. We will always book all inclusive not Vidanta you can keep that scam. I would recommend scamming them for a free ride to your resort and then cancel

3 years ago me and my husband acquire a membership with Mayan Palace, we think that could be a great idea to invest on a timeshare
We wanted the cancellation but the resort denied that possibility while in the timeshare presentation the salesperson told us that we could cancel whenever we want it, of course it was not true. Bad treatment and a misleading membership, the first year was fine, then the problems started when we received a extra charge from a service that we didnt used it. The cost of the maintenance fees, totally is a crazy price and out of our possibilities. I think that Mayan Palace resort is one of the worst places in the world.
We found Mexican Timeshare Solutions on a timeshare users group website and we hire them. I highly recommend Mexican Timeshare Solutions if you want an honest, responsive means of getting rid of your Mexican timeshare. Mexican Timeshare Solutions took no money upfront. I paid them after they sent me documentation from the Mexican court that my timeshare was revoked
You dont have idea how much I battle with those people to let me go out, all was my fault for not read the contract in time, but now friends you know it, so stay alert.

Don't Buy Or Stay@ Vidanta - Just awful
July 9, 2022

DO NOT STAY HERE. Everything about the resort is for the convenience of Vidanta... ALL OF IT. They must have designed this hotel with physiological marketing tricks that fool you into believing their cheep Disneyland/Ikea knockoff hotels are the luxury they advertise. They overwhelmed guests with Vidanta protocols that push everyone around like cows. Good luck getting from your room to anywhere because everything takes like a half hour to get to (except leaving, that will take like an hour). Vidanta purposely traps you. No quick trip to the pool and back to your room for lunch... nope. No quick runs to the store... nope... no quick trips to your room to get something or to the restroom... nope. That way, you're practically forced to purchase their mediocre/overpriced food, use their overpriced products and use their disgusting restroom. And the dang ambiance music EVERYWHERE! Someone make it stop!
The service staff was gracious though. They were always willing to help and many of them understood and shared our frustrations. Some of them even shared that all the good jobs go to English speaking foreigners, leaving cheep service jobs as the options for locals. Uggg disgusting. I hate Vidanta.

STAY AWAY!
July 5, 2019

Videnta must mean steaming pile of poo in Spanish because that's what this place is, it's a garbage property where there is blood on the couches, dirty floors, stained shower curtains, towel racks falling off the wall, coffee makers that don't work, room service that takes hours. If you want a $#*!ty vacation at a premium price, this is your spot. The "management" is horrible and uncaring, no one gives one $#*! about providing you with a vacation experience, they've got your money, and that's all they care about. Wait... it gets better... their sales pitch is worse than a lousy car sales pitch. It just gets worse and worse. If you get stuck here, go into town, and enjoy your vacation, but stay off of this $#*!hole of a property. If you run across Jamel in sales run, or if you want a comedy show of a lousy car salesman, he's your guy. Lots and lots of promises were made, not follow through on any of it by Jamel or by anyone at the resort or from Vidanta. Again, this place is a steaming pile of poo.

Vidanta Disaster
April 16, 2021

We have visited Cancun Mexico 3 times. Every time it has been at a different resort and I can honestly say that they were all great. The difference with Vidanta, is they are trying to build the largest theme part on earth and need to pay for it somehow! So once I turned them down for the $120,000 time share presentation you HAVE to attend, their attitude changed completely. They also require you to put a minimum of $1,000 as a DEPOSIT that goes toward your expenses. The only issue is that is actually does NOT! When you check out they will still charge you for any purchases you spent, so it does not go against your deposit. When I checked out they told me that the "Deposit" of $1,000 would be returned to my bank account in 24 hours. 2 weeks later i have NOT receive the funds yet and there is not A SINGLE competent person that can tell me why? NOT ONE! They also added several charges to my bill that i did NOT approve. In my honest opinion, you can have a great experience in Mexico as I have before, without going through Vidanta! Very poor company that only cares about one thing, getting you to buy a timeshare so they can pay for Walleyworld! Book somewhere else!

Vidanta is full of trained, skilled and professionals thieves to take your money. I was happy bringing my friend and her daughter to celebrate her birthday at this place which was the worse mistake. The bed was uncomfortable, mattress too soft. The room was noisy because children were running or playing, people also talking loud in the lobby. We could not rest at all. My friend got sick due to the lack of sleep. We hear our neighbors next door doing all their private necessities. It sounds as they were in our own room.We called twice to reception to inform that we were unable to sleep due to the activities next door. They did not do anything. We spent 5 long days and the day that we were checking out our returning flight was cancelled. We could not take it no more, we just wanted to leave. We booked a new flight reservation to avoid two more nights at this hotel. We needed to spend a credit of 1,375 dollars for food and we did not spend all we also lost it.We were supposed to spend 7 days but our flight was cancelled at our departure day from New York. We ended spending more money than we planned. I told my friend to keep a picture of this place because we are not planning to come back or recommended to any one else. Too expensive for the poor quality of service offered. Be aware of the 1:30 minutes meeting. It will take all day. There is not need of having a expensive membership to enjoy a good and quality vacation in a five diamonds resort. The marketing crew is full of corruption, lies and they lack ethical values. I wanted to cancel the useless membership but I was told that I needed to pay 6,000 thousand dollars in order to proceed. The monthly membership paid will be twice more that the original price due to the high interest charged for refinancing the cost of the useless membership.

During our trip to the Mayan Riviera. My husband and Iwere asked to attend a breakfast the next morning. We were pressured and tricked into signing a contract for 30 years membership with Mayan Palace. When we came back to USA we wanted to find a way to get out of the contract, but it was almost impossible. We were paying for a 5 years and we never used it. We have spent $10k dollars on various scams over the years with promising to sell it for us.
Tired of wasting our money I called a Mayan Palace and they offer to help resell our contract. They referred us to a Broker company and we paid $700 and after two years this company disappeared. Tired of been scammed, browsing on internet, I came across Mexican Timeshare Solution website, I read the Testimonials and I decide to try once more. I was very skeptical at first but they didn't require any payment upfront so decided we had nothing to lose. They were very professional and had the contract cancelled within six months. We were cleared of our membershipcompletely. We are very happy with the service, and highly recommend MexicanTimeshare Solutions.

Beware, if you see any Mayan palace salesperson run away and if you are in the same predicament I recommend Mexican Timeshare Solutions.

Do not put yourself in any sales seat. It is not worth 10% off OR free SPA OR Free Golf. You have NOT purchased time OR property YOU HAVE PURCHASED AIR. We were trapped in to attending the last meeting due to something that was in our last contract and called an "ADDENDUM". We had no copy of the "ADDENDUM". We kept being told and asked: You understand these are written under Mexican law and of course we said yes. Bottom line you can renew OR today you LOSE EVERY ACCOMMODATION AND PRIVILEGE AND TIME THAT YOU THINK THAT YOU HAVE. I hated to lose it all and did renew. Try to contact someone in customer service and get a copy OF ANYTHING THAT YOU HAVE EVER SIGNED and you are told nope you have to be on property to get paperwork. No email or fedex. They are that dishonest and deceptive. Business transactions are handled around the world via fedex dhl and email and fax. Do you see where I am going with this? Go ahead make that call. You don't get anywhere. I renewed to get out, because I have a plan. I mean it walk away from the sales table.
