I'm trying to apply from UK for Schengen visa and its is worst ever experience! Putting aside that no slots available ever in London or Manchester in any Schengen country VFS cover, so you need to spend hours trying different countries, the way how the site is designed is simply unacceptable. When you login and select country you're going to, the site would link this country to your account and if you want to check if any slots available in other countries you would need to create another account! But if you want to have Schengen visa its does not really matter which country would visit first! You just need a Schengen visa and bloody appointment!

This website is unusable at the best of times. If you actually get to the end and try to pay it is either "appoint is taken" or error. You can never get you appointment.

Why the French government is paying for this service is beyond me. It is giving the French government a bad name, and wasting French tax money

Worst service ever
September 21, 2022

I applied for my OCI to India and got rejected due to difference in name. Their site provide option to put middle name, and count it as different from OCI application. There is no instructions on website, on one answers for telephone calls, worst communication with clients.

Hopeless service

Hopeless service. They are closed for passport collection/delivery when the US embassy is closed for Memorial day. The staff is not well informed and are very rude to the customers. I do not understand the reason behind closing the delivery of passports if the embassies are closed. They do not have any contact numbers to contact. Very disappointed with their attitude and response.

No slots avalible

There have been no slots available for Finland, or any other nearby countries for the past 4-5 months. Also every time when I want to log into the website to check the available dates, I need to make a new account. FIX YOUR WEBSITE! This website is so important literally across the world so it makes no sense that it's such bad quality. Hire some professionals and make it work!

VFS Global: I am not even able to sign-in. It asks me to click activation link in my email. And I do that, it takes back to login page and again asks me to activate my email. This SUCKS. And you call customer service, they ask you to clear cache. God!

You can never trust them. Also why Canada and other countries trust their visa processing to them only. They should be one of other options not the only option. Government soon should take action about them if they really give a damn thing about people. They have access to our passports they hold it, they lose it. And I also have to mention that they have the worst agents that will make you angry and when you get angry they will warn you no to talk them angry or otherwise they will write complaint to immigration. Why the hell they have so much authority over people applying visa.

Try booking and appointment or if you do not subscribe to SMS service, the tracking link will not work. VFS wants to make money and not provide service. Calls to their customer service are charged. You will need to provide a credit card before a rep comes online

Sick company, nightmare

I still don't understand how a country can rely its entry processes on such a company. People trying to visit a country managed by vfs gets a very bad and poor image of that country because of vfs, Vfs manages the process like if you buy a pizza, but the pizza do not arrive, the will try to sell you even the staples on your sheets, not to say what a confusion the miriad of services they offer causes. But the worst was the sense of being prosecuted and judged by an impersonal or maybe automaticed response email, also disinformation. In my case they exceed time to give my passport back and I had to ask for a new one. They deny my Visa arguing I wanted to stay in a country even I did not have the profile for such a thing, I had work and tickets back. I give two thumbs down for vfs and hope soon the countries who contract them stop doing that, it seems they are only motivated by their low cost promise. Very bad company. Very bad for the countries who contract them

Worst experience ever
September 12, 2023

The worst experience I ever had in my life, they are not specific about notarized documents in lieu of originals in their email responses after submission of documents for adult OCI.They do not tell you as what documents to be notarized at first. After making several phone calls in which they incur hefty charges I was told to submit notarized affidavit for all documents. It is actually not mentioned in the website to notarize documents except when applying for minor children and when names were changed.

This website SUCKS. It is the opposite of user-friendly. Constantly logs you out, sends you to a screen you didn't ask, or says there's another page open when there isn't. It is confusing, laggy, and downright broken. Amazing that the UK home office chose this as their avenue to getting people visas. I guess they don't want people to immigrate to the UK.

I am a client from Russia, where there are very few slots for the France that proposed only once a month. As soon as slots appear a lot of people try to login and pay at once and the procedure fails at the payment step. Why there is no a way to prevent it? The most of the slots are reserved by automatic bots. Their so to say "antibot protection" works against humans, not bots.

I need to speak to a human to discuss a residency application, repeatedly advised to seek my answers on the website, if the answers were there I would not be spending a fortune calling.
Surely this terrible service cannot be allowed to continue, what an awful impression of Italy is given by this company, if this is the first point of entry.

Really terrible company. I have been chasing them for a refund since June 2022 and still don't have a result. Their customer service is unprofessional and inefficient. They just keep repeating the following process: "asked for my information and told me to find a solution on their website by myself, I told them I can't apply for a refund, and they ask my information and tell me to refund on their website again." Believe me, its easy and efficient to contact the embassy and apply for the visa by yourself. I successfully applied for Japanese visa last week, I only take about 2 days for preparing the documents. You shouldn't spend your money and time on this company.

The logistics is very poor, passport has been in transit for 6 weeks instead of 3 weeks. Also with negligent and unmotivated staff. VFS lagos in particular needs an overhaul. The communication with clients is sub par. Very unfortunate situation
Overpriced logistics services too. Charging 16k instead of 2k for deliveries within lagos

VFS is THE worst company in the world. You will not be seen till 2pm for a 10am appointment ( without fail!) and the trustpilot reviews are all fake! You can check the wikipedia page for VFS global where this has been flagged as well

This VFS Global is very poor service. Customer now way to communicate them. They will send email 'no-reply'. There is no way to communicate them.

I do not know why India Immigration is encouraging them

I am trying to apply for application and after 2nd attempt they locked with our with 2 hr timer. When I was finally able to login, the session timed out on the payment screen and when I re-logged in, my application was NOT found. Upon starting a new session i was locked out for 2 hrs again. This has to be the most ridiculous security in all of internet. VFS has autonomy on most visa application and its disappointing that they aren't able to provide a good customer experience in 2023. Service should be shut down or taken over by another capable vendor

The online is long and not clear. One of the website of visa submission that need a lot of time to read up and need a lot of patient. It is not direct you to the application as it need you to check here and there. Moreover after receive the submission of passport, I call the help desk. The operator is not really helpful as she sounds very reluctant to answer your queries. Very bad service and I do not understand with this low rating nothing is begin done to shore up the service.

With most countries opening up for travel after Covid, VFS could surely start working more than 2 days in a week? More and more people want to apply for visas and everyone is struggling to get an appointment. Please open up for more days so that more people could be assisted. We know how to handle Covid by now.
