They have no shame, things written on their website do not apply. Walk in appointments? No. You have to wait a month for the first appointment. Do you have any questions? Well too bad you are on your own. What a disgrace of a company.
I am only giving one star because I cannot give zero stars. For 2 weeks I have tried to get an appointment in Singapore for a France visa. On each occasion I have received an error message. I have spoken on at least a dozen occasions to help line staff and have been told to change browsers, change email addresses, try different computers. I have tried everything I have been told to do and it doesn't work. I am now running out of time to apply for a visa and have been told by VFS that there is no way that I can have a visa unless I make an appointment with them. As their service is so poor that it is impossible to make an appointment I believe that I will have to cancel my French holiday. Absolutely garbage product, garbage support and the worst consumer experience of my life. If you don't have to deal with these clowns then by all means DO NOT!
VFS Gobal is getting overburdened as the number of visa applications has increased tremendously.
Even after submitting all my documents to VFS Global half of the submitted and scanned documents did not reach the Embassy.
As a client who even opted for their lounge service they were unable to provide the service that they are meant to deliver.
The staff and employees working have little or no idea of the work they are doing and cant answer basic queries that a client may have. The door staff standing right outside the lounge area did not know that he is standing outside the lounge.
Its not just me but many clients of VFS Global are not at all happy with the poor service that they provide at higher costs. Waiting for an alternative option to hit the market and take over.
I submitted a document to get attested from CGI Sydney.
While submitting, I requested to receive back the attested document in person from their office. The person at counted said that all documents except the "urgent" ones must be send back by post - there was no mention of this condition in their website. They charged me $22 as courier fee.
After a few days, I received the document back though eParcel express post in a small envelope - the cheapest express post service available at Aust Post (which merely costs max $8) - which means $14 rip off. As the envelope was not large enough, they had to fold the document to accommodate. Just not acceptable! VFS must be blacklisted.
This is the terrible service I ever received. Had to cancel an appointment in August for Germany Schengen visa but couldn't get $45 appointment fee refund. Their system just simply disabled the cancel button technically and the customer service keep telling it is in the process for over 3 months. Shame on such company, just try to live on a few dollars appointment fee. This is absolute a scam company, please try to stay away from them.
Not helpful and horrible attitude.
The treatment and the behavior of the lady in booth 2 was irritating. Because i didn't understand and asked her to repeat what she said she smacked on the table. She made fun of a paper i had and when i tried to explain she threw the paper to her colleague. I left without applying after driving for 5 hours.
I was very confidently told that I was unable to apply for a residence permit in Norway while already in Norway and that I would have to apply beforehand. After double checking online, I found that the Norway website actually says it is possible (given some requirements which I can meet). Why so confidently misinform people? If you're not sure then either check online on your end or just say that you're unsure. Ridiculous service - it was a huge waste of my time.
Every time I try to log in to the VFS website, it shows "invalid login," even after all my details are correct. I need to keep trying with the same details until their system realises that my details are correct, and then comes the error message "maximum number of attempts: try to login after 2 hours". Even if I manage to log in, by the time I book the slot, it's either already taken or it shows me the same error message (maximum attempts). I've lost many slots like that.
I recently applied for a USA visa myself, and I got my visa in 20 days. Their website is far more reliable and easy to use compared to the Schengen ones. I've been trying for months to get a Schengen appointment.
I lost hope that I would travel to Europe because of the VFS service. I would rather try countries like France or Belgium, which use TLS contact instead of VFS.
I don't think VFS will ever read people's reviews, and I wonder how they are still in business.
My Indian passport renewal got rejected for absolutely no reason. It was rejected in 1 day citing that I did not select anything for change of address which I did not request in the first place. They could have kept it on hold and ask me if they had any confusion. I gave the address proof and the same address was on the passport which was expiring and I wanted the same address to be present in the passport. I am furious with this level of service and harassing people for a regular job.
The VFS customer service sucks. The phone charges $2.48 per minute is looting. OCI application rejected by consulate, Atlanta due to human error doesn't refund back the money. VFS doesn't know their work nor they're trained. Pathetic service.
Customer service is very bad and it really sucks. They have no clue about my questions about OCI misc services. At the end of the call, he simply said send an email to so and so address and they will get back in 48 hrs. To tell this, he literally took 10 mins and costed me $25 (They are charging $2.48 per minute).
I never saw a service provider who charges customers for support calls.
First of all, the only option to reach out to customer care is by email. For such a global giant in visa and passport services, having no on-call support is very disappointing. With email, a person cannot expect regular responsible updates or replies. You will always get standard response irrespective of how much details you put on your email. They just don not have time to read it and respond based on questions raised. They go by the category of request and use their standard template to respond back. And talking about SLA will be a joke. After multiple inquiry you will get a response saying decision on particular request will be responded within x business days. But you can wait for 2x to 3x days but story will be the same... waiting. It is worst decision by Indian embassy to go with VFS. Really very bad experience. Not sure if there is any Indian embassy avenue where I can lodge my complaint against VFS or give the feedback.
Having waited a week for an appointment I turned up at fifteen minutes early for my 1215pm appointment and the waiting area was ram packed. Standing room only. Very dirty and no room for social distancing. Half the people not wearing masks, kids screaming couldn't hear the tannoy for next person to be seen. Only one screen working showing customer being served. Eventually got served at 1445 over two and a half hours after my allocated time. Out of 22 counters only half were in use.
VFS global is a Mafia. They force you to pay 500 for a visa service by not providing appointments or wank-ins within a 90 day period process. They are rude, unhelpful, uncooperative. Their information is confusing, out of date, and full of misinformation. You can't apply for a visa sooner than 90 days and the consulate takes 3 to 10 weeks to process the application, so what that means is you must apply on the 90th day. Then pay 500 in addition to all the other charges if you want the consulate to have enough time for process the visa. That's called a mafia service, giving you no other option then to pay their extortion fees.
Worst experience ever, during the process I got the urge to find out the person responsible for asking for the 50 different redundant documents and filling in the same information on the same page 10 times in 10 different forms and slap them repeatedly across the face. If you have the misfortune of dealing with this soul sucking company, I pray you finish the process before you suffer a stroke. Godspeed
Missed 2 trips due to the lack of appointments. Is this company actually open? I've been trying for months to book an appointment and I've been unsuccessful to find any available appointments for a Schengen visa
The VFS is a total scammer. They will force you to avail there service. Parents are there key victims. They pushed for lounge service saying you definitely need it, my parents declined it. They said scanning service is mandatory but I had already uploaded their docs so not needed. Courier service is Rs 750 but they charged my parents Rs 1500, later it turned out to be bronze package they forcefully asked my parents to pay. Totally unprofessional.
Horrendous experience recently. Encountered multiple technical issues on their website while trying to book visa appointment for past 1 week. Received no help thus far despite contacting them like 10 times. Aside from the website issue, they have issues with IVR wherein the calls are getting dropped for no reason.
My entire travel plan and fund is in jeopardy because of this dysfunctional company with their dysfunctional technical system and unwillingness to help their customers.
While all of these are happening with me, they didn't shy away from trying to sell me their outlandishly expensive services.
While ordinary people are trying Wendesday by Wednesday to book appointments to apply for a Poland visa and have to struggle with the webpage blocked (403,500 or 502 server errors), hackers are selling slots for 100 - 200 euro per one slot. VFS does nothing to stop or prevent it.
Taken that about 300 visas are issued daily, one can imagine what turnover of money is here where VFS is likely to be an interested party.
I'm trying to apply from UK for Schengen visa and its is worst ever experience! Putting aside that no slots available ever in London or Manchester in any Schengen country VFS cover, so you need to spend hours trying different countries, the way how the site is designed is simply unacceptable. When you login and select country you're going to, the site would link this country to your account and if you want to check if any slots available in other countries you would need to create another account! But if you want to have Schengen visa its does not really matter which country would visit first! You just need a Schengen visa and bloody appointment!
