Tried to call these guys literally 300 time to try and get a visa appointment over two months and it's an absolute farce. You can even try at midnight and it's the same story over and over again. I suggest sending multiple complaints to the Italian consul and tourist offices if anyone has the same frustrating experience.?
I have been trying to book an appointment for days. It shows you free slots available but when you reach the final page for payment it says an error occured. This can only be intentional and should be illegal to mislead people like that. Such a waste of time. I cannot comprehend why embassies work with VFS at all
1. The VFS center itself is not professional. You have to struggle to find an appointment
2. The VFS is not equipped. More than 50% of counters are empty from employees and people are waiting.
3. Applicants get cheated. I applied for Schengen and I was informed by employees that It will take 15 calendar days. I booked accordingly tickets and hotels.
After 15 days, they are informing that it will take up to 30 days so all my holiday plan was messed up
4. This is like a fish market, not an appropriate visa center
Company do not accept shipping labels other than UPS but if you use their service, they will use the FEDEX. They will come up with stupid reason to reject your application and way to contact them is using email (Where they will ask for all the documents one by one which you have already submitted with the application), Pay phone service is another option but first you will be asked to enter credit card and even though they say hold time does not count towards free time per week, customer service Rep. Will take their sweet time to search for the information and your times up. What a rip off!
I am written emails to VFS, however no reply other than automated mails. Automated mail says that VFS will revert in 48 hours, however no revert.
Even no response from call center. Spoke with Chetan, Wilfred, Sumedh over 15 mins each. All promised that I will receive call back from the Case Manager. Regret no revert.
The VFS Global Wafi mall br. This B section Especially the Netherlands has no respect for people's timing, we have to wait for one 1hour just to do biometrics, and they stopped calling the number without any reason. And resume calling after an hour, I missed picking up my kids at school because of the delay. My they need to wait 2 hours at school, what is the use of having an appointment if you keep on delaying the process, and we need to stay more than 4hrs at your place. It doesn't make sense at all,
VERY POOR SERVICE 0 STAR! EVEN 1 STAR DONT DESERVED
I have submitted my old parents visit visa request with VFS global 4 months ago and paid the fees. This is my 4th month and still the website is not allowing me to schedule the interview process after paying the amount. I am not sure why Unites States government gives authority to a company like VFS global they don't have any responsibility towards the community and service. I would appreciate if someone seeing this post would take action against this VFS global process and website.
They have no shame, things written on their website do not apply. Walk in appointments? No. You have to wait a month for the first appointment. Do you have any questions? Well too bad you are on your own. What a disgrace of a company.
This company has not trained any of their employees at all, I think they just don't have any training modules that they follow. You try calling customer service after 30-35 minutes wait time agent will pick up the call but will not give you any answers as they have zero knowledge of what they are doing and if you email them you will never ever get any reply or response to them. I don't know why this company is still in business.
It's so frustrating and irritating.
SHAME SHAME SHAME
We applied for 2 visas for Brazil through VHS Global. The application process was slow and difficult with them constantly rejecting our documents for being the incorrect format, even though as far as we could see, the documents were in the format requested. They have no help phone number and communication is painfully slow as they takes days to respond. They also would ask for say two things in their response and then in the next response they would ask for an additional item. Clearly, their staff are not well trained. Eventually, we got the visas. However, then we were informed that Brazil had changed their rules and we no longer needed visas and were eligible for a refund. Great. I then found out that we had somehow paid the $80.90 USD fee three times rather than twice. Not sure how that happened - probably related to their difficult application process. So, I set about trying to get my 3 x $80.90 USD refund. Again, a painfully slow and difficult process with VHS global saying they could not view the documents we sent as they were not the correct format. During the process, we received at least one response from VHS Global saying we could not get any refund, and then the next response asking for information we had already supplied them. Overall, a complete shambles reflecting I suspect poorly trained incompetent staff. Eventually, we gave up and just accepted that we would not get our $242 USD back. My advice, avoid them if you can.
VFS Global Visa Processing (badly)
I am trying to get a normal Schengen tourist visa. To do so, I am forced to use VFS Global Visa Processing. It is worth noting that for several countries VFS have a monopoly. They are the ONLY way that you can apply for visa for these countries.
What a pity therefore, when VFS systems simply don't work, or are so poorly designed, maintained and supported, that even getting an appointment to apply for a visa is a lottery.
I have come across two major problems so far;
First you have to set up an account. This is fine, except that once set up, you can't log in. A check with the automated support line shows that this is a known and common problem and the automated voice will tell you, "If you can't login, go and reset your password and them try again" - and again, and again.
Eventually, once logged in, you can then apply for an appointment, only to find the message that there are no free appointments and to try again 'later'. Another check with support shows that this is also a known and the automated voice will tell you, "please try another time."
So not a lot of help here. When do I try again, in an hour, a day, a week, a month or a year? How far ahead are appointments booked up, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year? Why don't VFS have a diary system, like systems that work do?
Here I should tell you about the UK government which has a website to book a driving test. These are very popular, and can be booked up for months ahead, but at least I can see the available slots on the diary and choose one. I mention this, to show that such a system is possible.
OK, so no joy with VFS. I'd better try again tomorrow, which I did, only to be faced with problem #1, can't login (again).
These problems are known by VFS Global, but they haven't wasted any time on fixing them.
A post from Portugal says, "A crucial strategy when faced with a lack of available appointments online is regular, diligent checking of the VFS online system."
So we learn that
A) this is a problem VFS has with visa processing in several countries, not just the Netherlands
B) their systems are designed poorly, and the onus is placed on the customer to jump over these hurdles instead of them providing a system that works.
It seems that VFS system is the very antithesis of Customer Service. As a customer you simply have to keep stabbing in the dark, day after day, hoping that an appointment might come up.
I note that VFS is a global company, bidding to provide services for countries all over the world. Imagine if, when you wanted to travel, and you required a visa, that the only option was using a VFS Global system.
This company could single-handedly be the death of the global tourist industry.
If I could give a zero rating I would. If you have alternative choices for any visa needs, use them. Long story, but they represented a need for a Brazil visa; we filed; they took our money. E-visa site was a disaster. VFS customer service was almost non-existent. Brazil gov' quickly reversed announcement and delayed the need for a visa by three months; so we immediately asked for a refund (no longer needed a visa on our early visit dates). VFS kept the money & continued to process visa request that was no longer needed by us. The only time they communicated regularly was when we asked for the refund... to say NO, NO, NO with no reasonable explanation. DO NOT USE THEM and share this with your fellow travelers
VFS Global, a subsidiary of Blackstone, responsible for providing India consular services in the USA, has come under scrutiny for its mandatory imposition of fees, particularly SMS charges, which are optional in nature. This practice, while seemingly harmless, has allegedly generated over half a million dollars in just two months, raising concerns about its ethicality and transparency.
The online portal of VFS Global is accused of manipulating users by discreetly adding SMS fees to their transactions, regardless of whether the service is desired or not. Despite numerous complaints and attempts to address the issue with both VFS and the Embassy of India, no action has been taken to rectify the situation. This failure to address customer concerns suggests a lack of accountability and transparency on the part of both VFS Global and the Indian authorities.
It appears that VFS Global and its affiliated institutions have prioritized financial gains over customer satisfaction and ethical business practices. By imposing mandatory fees and disregarding customer feedback, they have demonstrated a disregard for the rights and interests of the Indian diaspora in the USA.
In conclusion, the mandatory fees imposed by VFS Global for India consular services in the USA, particularly the SMS charges, raise serious ethical concerns. The lack of action by both VFS Global and the Embassy of India to address these concerns reflects poorly on their commitment to customer satisfaction and transparency. It is imperative that steps are taken to rectify this situation and ensure that the rights and interests of the Indian diaspora are safeguarded.
I want to bring attention to the unethical business practices I've experienced with VFS Global. The government of India mandates that applicants receive four free SMS to track their application processing. However, VFS Global, seemingly a blankstone company, defaults to adding $5 to all applications without adhering to telecom regulations in the USA to seek consent.
It's crucial for customers to be aware of their rights. According to service level tiers, VFS could face penalties of $200 USD per transaction for non-compliance. If charged, demand a refund for the SMS fee. In the unfortunate event of a lost package, remember that VFS is responsible and entitled to a full refund.
I urge fellow applicants to raise their voices, report such incidents to the Embassy of India and consulates, and demand accountability. Know your rights, demand the services promised by VFS and the government of India, and speak up against these practices.
I submitted the requests for Brazil visa and it did not go thru. It is been almost a month. I did not even know the status and when emailed they said it is pending and asked to send them a screenshot of error. Customer service phone costs $2,50 a minute. They respond to email within 3 - 4 days. It is just wasting money and time. Very bad that Brazil keeps this lousy agency, which does not return money back.
VSF global offered to get us Brazil visas and took our money. Then we discovered Brazil was not issuing visas and requested a refund. They replied that our application was "pending" and refused a refund. That was over 2 months ago!
The scam involving VFS Global is now widely known, especially in Southeast Asian countries. It's no longer a secret that there have been issues with their visa processing services.
The online process is meticulous and pedantic with the amount of info required, I got an online USA E visa within 48 hrs, so far after 3 weeks I am no closer to a Brazilian visa, they keep sending it back because of the 2 x 2 photo, it's either shadowy or your ears are not shown, really how many females have their ears shown. Anyway I tried to accommodate this but the website is so clunky and didn't accept the new pictures. This company is the one the Brazilian Gov authorised and the visas are not cheap. I am not part of a drug cartel, I have no criminal record and I just want to visit as a tourist for 6 days, really how difficult can it be.
So disappointed
I feel sorry for anyone that has to go through this pathetic company to get a visa. Website sucks. ZERO customer service or communication and we are pretty sure they only hire morons and use computer Bots. They will take your money quickly and efficiently but after that you are f@@cked! This company has no right to be in business
System is always down. It is seriously frustrating that everytime I check the system is not working.
