Anytime you need to call customer service, whether it's something minor or not, you can bet on at least an hour of your day wasted. That is if you get disconnected less than 3 times. I have found that the agents are not very knowledgeable, and you get transferred multiple times, after explaining your situation to each new agent. I am happy I left after 14 years of trying. Many agents are outsourced in other countries that don't necessarily understand your demographics. I switched to t Mobile. I have faster speeds, half the price and they paid off all my devices. Kick rocks Verizon
VW website is very good, although like many sites is too packed with stuff which makes it confusing to find what you want. As for their service, it is superior. I left VW after 15 years to go to Sprint. OMG! I was miserable. Screw Sprints $69 for everything! VW may be expensive, their taxes and fees tack on $20+ to an average bill but its worth it! I'm sticking with Verizon Wireless.
I had Verizon for over five years. The reception is great as long as your phone is working correctly, and it's really fast. They have awful customer service and will not fix issues, especially if the issue is their mistake. Also don't expect to much for customer loyalty. They only care about new customers. You can't get even close to the same deals if you're already a customer.
I've been with Verizon for past 10 years and honestly love the service. Only giving it a 4 start because I wish they would lower their prices down. I would long time ago switch to a different company but I have a whole family who would need to have number changed and some don't approve so we kind of stick paying a high bill. They do have good promotions ones in a while and I do like when bill can be lowered. But if i we're to start I would go with bit cheaper company! With slightly better benefits
I have been with Verizon since before it was Verizon, 24 years ago. Have the same number. I've been reading recent reviews and I am so surprised that their customer service has gotten so bad. The last time I contacted them was in December of 2018 when my new iPhone was stolen by UPS and redirected to an address in another city. They were very helpful then. I called and spoke to a very helpful person who followed up our conversation with an email. Everything was great. I will admit, I am paying way too much and have been for years. I just know people with other carriers and they don't seem to have great service on their phones. I am locked into a contract for another few months and then I will probably switch for the first time ever. It is just to expensive and if customer service has gotten so bad, there is no reason to stay. Customer service was one of the few reasons I was willing to pay a bit more. No longer will I be doing this. Sorry Verizon!
I have always been satisfied with Verizon. They never gave me a reason to switch. I only wished that they could lower their prices as it is one of the more expensive service providers. Overall, they have next level service all around.
I like the service as I noticed less dropped calls compared to AT&T which I had for about 8 years prior. Also noticed I could get reception in more places than others who had Sprint. A big negative is how Verizon treated their unlimited customers compared to other companies... although unlimited data has been eliminated from other carriers as well those companies seem to still allow grandfathered customers to continue use of the old plan. I get a discount through work so Verizon is cheaper than other providers which helps out.
This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a phone company. I've been overcharged, and no one has explained why. The customer service representative was unhelpful and condescending. It took me over five phone calls and speaking to a supervisor, who was also unhelpful, to get an answer. I was charged for a line I was forced to get because the phone I sent was locked. I'm considering leaving Verizon and switching to a different company. The customer service is poor, and there are hidden fees. I was promised a $40 discount for signing up for auto-pay, but I was still charged the total amount. Even after signing up for auto-pay, I was charged my entire bill plus a late fee, which doesn't make sense.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with any phone company. I'm being overcharged, and nobody is explaining it to me. Then the dude tried to make me look stupid when he could have explained everything. Why did it take me calling over five times and escalating the situation to a supervisor (who was worse than the agent)( As a manager myself, this guy should not be in his position) to get an answer, and you all are still charging me for a line you all forced me to get because yall sent us a locked phone when I initially ordered it offline. I'm ready to leave Verizon. I hope some other company comes up with a promotion where they will pay off these phones for the holidays, and I can leave you guys for good. You all have poor customer service and plenty of hidden fees. Then you all said to sign up for auto pay and get 40 dollars off your bill, and I did and was still charged. Then he told me I signed up too late when the guy I spoke to before reassured me that it would be on the bill I pay Sept 8. I was still charged my entire bill plus a late fee of 244 +7 =251 while signing up for autopay. Isn't that to avoid late fees?
I am very angry about how they accepted the disconnection of my internet without having asked me the question, they never asked me as the owner of the account, now my house is unsafe without security cameras, my children do not have security, yesterday I found one of the doors open, I called an agent and he told me that I have to get some new internet equipment and pay for it but first he promised me that he would help me but when they called me from Verizon I gave a good review, then the agent called me again telling me that he can't help me and he said sorry, never trust an agent. Does anyone know how to take legal action against them?
Worst company ever. Dint know hoe they are getting away with this. I canceled my service and paid out my phone and all charges. Confirmed 3 times all charges were paid. Received a bill today and when i called customer support I was told it wasn't verizon it was the government charge for porting my number to another carrier and I could either pay it or contact the government to dispute the $18.95 charge. And then, because of the charge from the "Government" for porting my number I owed Verizon $1.39 service fee for billing it to me. Worst shadiest company ever! I thought there were laws against these kind of practices?
Verizon sales team are the most unethical manipulative liars on earth, do not, again do not sign with them before they give it to you in writing. I believe, the team some how like the mother company, do not, again do not sign a 2 years contract with any service unless you are 100% you getting the service you deserve. I have a 4 lines business account with them they made a mistake in my bill which I was billed for over than $3,000 in a month and they did whatever they do with all customers and they disconnect your phone Friday evening after business hours and they leave you with one option which to be connected only to their collection office in the Philippine that have only one option that yo pay in full before they return your service, we are sales people "Loan Officers" and imagine how much we lost during our summer season weekend, even today I called billing at 9:00 AM I stayed with their rep for almost an hour, she discovered the mistakes and told me she will fix and turn back the service in less than an hour it is 1:30 PM now and nothing happened. Verizon is he most unethical manipulative liars on earth hide behind its 2 years contract.
Verison is unethical in its business practices. I changed my cell phone plan and had the option of choosing add-ons for an additional charge. I did not select any add-ons, and within minutes of changing my plan, I received a text message telling me that extra cloud storage was added to my account by Verison for an additional $5.99/month. I then got a text message stating to follow the link to cancel, the link did not provide a place to cancel the added expense so I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with customer service trying to remove the charge. Within minutes of finishing up with customer service, I received a survey that I was eager to complete, in the middle of the survey I was asked how satisfied I was with Verson with a rating of 1 to 10, I gave them a 1, the next question asked why I was unsatisfied. While I was typing in my answer, I received a call from the customer service supervisor asking me to text the word "Quit" to stop the survey. She was insistent that I do this immediately while she waited on the phone. I explained to her that I was not done completing the survey and she continued her demands. I told her that I would do that after I completed the survey, and she finally ended the call.
Had my appt for installation today. Only to get an email thanking me for rescheduling at a better time for me a week later. I never rescheduled. I ordered the 2g's highest internet and apparently the infrastructure is not up and they can't install. I will be loosing my job this week because I have no WiFi. Not one rep told me about this and a supervisor Chris told me the system showed it was ready for installation but in fact was not. Now I'm out a job and Verizon's only way to fix it it to offer first month free. I don't know what that's going to do when I can't feed my kid or myself. Thanks a lot Verizon. Buyer beware Verizon will lie just to get a sale. Then tell you sorry there is no other option. One rep she told me she didn't care what the situation was that the installation ain't happening. How rude and unprofessional. This company is a joke. So ready to switch carrier for my 4 cell phones and get another WiFi company. Verizon SUCKS
I have spoken to two reps one at 8 this morning and another at 10 both lengthy calls. Problem fixed as I talked on my direct line. Will call back in 5
Nothing is fixed and they know it but just left it hanging.? Just spoke to an extremely RUDE customer service rep
Who let me know I had to call from another phone to set up my new phone, that's set up but not finished.
When I laughed and said this would have been nice to know 2 calls ago
She said "that's just tuff luck"
NO that's horrible service for help.
I was irritated but polite, calm and cool just wanted to be able to use my phone?
All of this crap after picking up my phone from a Verizon store and told we don't transfer phones
What crap. Only took 5 minutes to purchase it tho
For a "communications" company, Verizon is terrible at communicating. Orders a new cell phone from Verizon... never delivered. Have spent 3 hours calling Verizon and on hold to actually speak to a human being. Nothing. Absolutely unacceptable. They really need to get their act together!
Unfortunately working with Verizon On billing problems is extremely difficult. Basically, approach cautiously as you would Someone who steals your money, lies to you, and purposely make it as painful as possible. My wife bought a new ipad in phone. Even though she denied insurance, They charged it anyway. After about 4 or 5 months we caught The overcharge. At 1st they said you should have checked your bill sooner as if that's a good enough reason for you to hang up. Later they acknowledged on the record that she denied insurance. At that point Verizon said well, you need to go talk to the people who sold you the phone At the franchise store. At the franchise store they told her 6 months was required. Finally after much haggling All incorporated, It was decided that it was not required. They then said they would credit read it the amount over 5 months. I guess I can't afford to refund the money they stole in the 1st place. I wonder if we'll get interest?
God forbid you have a military service member who pays the ultimate price. Verizon will send you a bill for the unpaid phone and if you cannot return the phone within x number of days, they sell the debt to a credit collector. No notice, no working with you, just cause further damage without remorse. Pure greed!
I'm well aware of all the tactics this company deploys to exploit their customers...until today when I learned a new technique they use...by shutting off your phone while having a conversation. Truly fascinating they spend more time in the board room discussing draconian methods to profit from, than just being a trustworthy, honest company. What a deplorable company...
My prepaid cell phone broke, so I went on a hunt for the most economical prepaid cell phone I could purchase, which is usually at Walmart. I almost always purchase my devices there because of their hassle-free return policy. I return so many things and always get all my money back with a smile, even if I've used the product. This time, however, I went to a Verizon store. (Note: Just like Team Mobile and Metro Team Mobile are two different companies; Verizon and Total by Verizon are also two different companies.) I found this out, because I already had a Total by Verizon plan, which I was using with the now broken phone and thought I could just buy a prepaid phone and use my same plan. However, this was Verizon; NOT Total by Verizon, so, instead of trying to find a Total by Verizon store (which incidentally I later found out are few and far between), I decided to purchase both the phone and a Verizon plan. I was notified of their return policy that I would forfeit $50 as a restocking fee, but I was not notified that I would not be able to recoup the cost of the plan. Due to problems loading some apps, I decided to return the phone. I had to wait so long to get help, that by the time assistance arrived I was so exasperated that even after they explained that I would only receive $19.99 in return for the $136.49 I paid (less than 24 hours prior), I told him to just do it! Never again. In the future, I'm going to stick to good old Walmart.
Verizon Wireless' business model is to lie to their customers. Simply put, they have the worst customer service I have ever seen and they are the worst company I have ever done business with. On more than one occasion I was promised a free phone and/or trade in value for old devices. When I have the new device in hand, they come up with an excuse to go back on their word. I have a copy of a chat transcript where I was promised a trade in value for an old phone that VW refused to honor! This has nothing to do with condition or whether the old phone works, they never even saw it. This will be my last interaction with them. Verizon Wireless is the armpit of corporate America. I am getting a new carrier and I don't care if it costs more.
Answer: Go to My Verizon, click the 3 bars at lower right. In drop down menus hit contact us then schedule a call. They will call you about the time you scheduled a call-back.
Verizon has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,042 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Verizon most frequently mention customer service, new phone and next day. Verizon ranks 145th among Mobile Carriers sites.
