My prepaid cell phone broke, so I went on a hunt for the most economical prepaid cell phone I could purchase, which is usually at Walmart. I almost always purchase my devices there because of their hassle-free return policy. I return so many things and always get all my money back with a smile, even if I've used the product. This time, however, I went to a Verizon store. (Note: Just like Team Mobile and Metro Team Mobile are two different companies; Verizon and Total by Verizon are also two different companies.) I found this out, because I already had a Total by Verizon plan, which I was using with the now broken phone and thought I could just buy a prepaid phone and use my same plan. However, this was Verizon; NOT Total by Verizon, so, instead of trying to find a Total by Verizon store (which incidentally I later found out are few and far between), I decided to purchase both the phone and a Verizon plan. I was notified of their return policy that I would forfeit $50 as a restocking fee, but I was not notified that I would not be able to recoup the cost of the plan. Due to problems loading some apps, I decided to return the phone. I had to wait so long to get help, that by the time assistance arrived I was so exasperated that even after they explained that I would only receive $19.99 in return for the $136.49 I paid (less than 24 hours prior), I told him to just do it! Never again. In the future, I'm going to stick to good old Walmart.
Verizon Wireless' business model is to lie to their customers. Simply put, they have the worst customer service I have ever seen and they are the worst company I have ever done business with. On more than one occasion I was promised a free phone and/or trade in value for old devices. When I have the new device in hand, they come up with an excuse to go back on their word. I have a copy of a chat transcript where I was promised a trade in value for an old phone that VW refused to honor! This has nothing to do with condition or whether the old phone works, they never even saw it. This will be my last interaction with them. Verizon Wireless is the armpit of corporate America. I am getting a new carrier and I don't care if it costs more.
Half of the time I get no reception. Customer service phone line is a joke. You can't connect with a person. The stupid recordings only try to sell $#*! I don't want or need. Pay my bill online is trash. I'm trying to pay those $#*!s and I can't. Why am I paying? I'm not getting what I'm paying for.
This whole thing has been a joke worst customer service in the world and to top it off I transfered my Internet. For the Xbox series s console deal to get it for free and every idiot I have talked to has acted stupid. Your company is a joke, and expensive as hell. I want my console I have been sent emails to claim it but they always say error after I select it and go to hit send. I have emails,, Pictures and even an email from the executive over customer service that's a moron as well.
Should be illegal they are absolute crooks. In my experience 1 of 10 representatives actually has anything useful to add. Ultimately they give you the run around till your so frustrated that you don't want to deal with them anymore.
After 15+ years with Verizon I switched for the same reason as many current customers. You only win if you leave…just like a bad marriage. It's freeing to be out.
Immediately after switching they have no records of my account and won't acknowledge my past business with them. I've been getting the run around for hours from their customer service. Verizon is Evil.
Recently had major drops in our signal levels (bars), to the point of dropouts or inability to use online services. Screen freezes common. NO response from Verizon, nor any suggestions on how to get us better service. This is affecting our entire neighborhood. New problem.
Unreal hold times, upgrade fees, pushing the customer to use automated chat service.
Been with Verizon for over 15 years, but can no longer accept this and the high priced service.
T-mobile here I come.
I had been a loyal T-Mobile customer for six years with two phone lines, but due to poor coverage in my area, I decided to switch to Verizon, which offered better service. Everything went smoothly for the first four months until I requested that Verizon switch the numbers between my Android and iPhone.
Unfortunately, after this change, both of my phones lost signal, and despite spending over 10 hours on the phone with Verizon over the course of 96 hours, the issue remained unresolved. It was frustrating because each time I called, I was transferred to different representatives, but there was no progress. They repeatedly promised a resolution within a day, but I only received rescheduled appointment messages.
I'm truly disappointed with Verizon's service and regret switching to them. I strongly advise against choosing this company.
We had AT&T for years, we were browsing other carriers for cheaper plans. When looking into Verizon the unlimited plan we signed up for was supposed to be about $120 for 2 phones. We found the price increasing every month, we also have a military discount that seems to be taken off then added back in other fees. We've since stopped paying because it became too hard to afford it. Last month for 2 phones were having to pay over $350. They're customer service is terrible also, don't expect any help and you'll be on the phone all day with no resolution. We contacted their financial assistance because this price per phone is insane, they really don't care. They aren't being charged for it so it's not their problem. I regret ever switching, well be switching back asap.
It took me 1 hour and 40 minutes and being "disconnected " three times to get to the bottom of our bill increase. Apparently there was an "error " in the system. You're telling me, that this could not have been handled in a more timely manner?! Come on, Verizon! Value your loyal customers, or you won't have any left.
In my opinion, crooked as the day is long. I will be looking for a new carrier! These people are even worse than AT&T! STAY AWAY! They have been taking my payments out of my checking account for the last 3 months. Just received a notice today my bill went up by approximately $15 from now on!
My internet stopped working at 6 am. I've been dealing with AI and get no help. I Finally get an operator 5 hours later wait on hold for 50 minutes. Then call back. They want access to my tablet, phone, PC? Really after 2.5 hours no help just get the run around. $#*! Verizon
Please do not get verizon, stores are third-party they're not connected with actual verizon, worst customer service you've ever experienced in your life. And above all the reception is really poor-unexplainable
I been using Verizon for years. I recently purchased an iPhone 13 pro max 128GB and traded in my android phone. This was done at Costco. The promotion included a $700 dollar trade in. It was a nightmare dealing with Verizon, trying to sign up, get a shipping label, and get the monthly charges straight. You wait forever on the website chat, and when you go through everything, they give you a toll free telephone number to call. When someone finally Answers, you get a lot of promises but no action. It was very frustrating. Two months after my purchase it's still not right.
Quit working after 2 months. They keep billing you after you sent the gateway back. Customer service is the worst. Tell them they have a problem with their internet and the only answer they give is how to cancel. When you do they keep charging you. Have called 3 times on final bill. Last time for 2 hours and still at square 1.
My family bought 3 new phones from Verizon over a year ago. They have yet to apply the promotions and trade-ins to our bill. We've spent countless hours on the phone and in the store trying to figure it out. We were once long term and loyal customers but this has been such a scam and pain that we will never trust them again.
Absolutely horrible business. Do not trust them to honor their specials and deals!
Undoubtedly the worst customer service experience in my life! It's virtually nonexistent, wasted around 8 hours trying to solve what should have been a simple issue, Now I'm looking for a new service provider. One that has someone answering a phone for support.
To write a review of Verizon's customer service and its "policies" would require me to take a day or two off of work. I am guessing that I've logged about 8-10 hours with them on the phone over the course of 2 months and I still can't get a very simple thing resolved, which is me being able to access my online account. All of these providers fail miserably at customer service but Verizon takes the cake. Use someone else if at all possible and if not, well, good luck.
You can do nothing but go around in circles on this terrible website. The ONLY thing it's good for is pushing new services. The format is terrible - incredible amount of wasted space, leading to multiple screens and lousy readability. And nothing you want (other than how to buy more Verizon crap) is easily findable; you're constantly forced into the search function. Which returns screens and screens of options, all spread out all over the galaxy visibly. OR you get the circle of death as the website spins forever, then bounces you out. Seven attempts today to do one simple task with 7 bounces out of the page, task unaccomplished. You can spend hours here and get absolutely nowhere. Verizon should be ashamed to even show this mess.
Answer: Go to My Verizon, click the 3 bars at lower right. In drop down menus hit contact us then schedule a call. They will call you about the time you scheduled a call-back.
Verizon has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,042 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Verizon most frequently mention customer service, new phone and next day. Verizon ranks 145th among Mobile Carriers sites.
