I understand if I use to much data my service speeds are lowered during peak however however doesnt Verizon think it's unacceptable to slow your customers down to the point that they can't look up directions or send a text message. Don't sign up for this company most expensive with the slowest most useless speeds.
I am stuck in the verizon monopoly. Have been in DSL land for the past 20 years. No upgrades offered. The worst internet I've ever had. The worst customer service. I just bought a wireless company and if that doesn't work out, I'll stop having internet at home, no sense in paying for a phone line I don't want and never having internet for $120 / month. Bleeping bleep the bleep off, Verizon!
If they get your payment through the mail one day late they start threatening you with suspension.
They did this during the early days of cv19 even.
I have a great credit history and these people are scumbags.
Seriously. I have only been with them 30 years. The party is over.
I nought a new phone from the store on Indiantown Road in Jupiter, FL. Danny is the representative who helped me. He was fantastic; deserves 5 stars. Any road block we ran into he was able to get through. I give him kudos and I hope his boss recognizes what a valuable employee Verizon has in Danny.

I've been a Verizon customer for a number of years, because it seems to be the only carrier that I can get decent signal from at my house. Writing this good review based on my latest experience of upgrading my phone at the Verizon Store in Highland Park, IL. I got a much better rate than before and the person helping me was great in helping me pick the right plan and phone. And it took a fraction of the time to set up, versus the 2 hours it took the last time.
Customer service is really bad once you are off contract, and pressure is so strong when you are on contract. I am dealing with them now because they unilaterally changed the due date on ALL wireless accounts earlier in the month. I used to make payment arrangements which gives a 14 day window for payment. Now that the date is moved up, I cannot get the arrangements to work for my limited government payment I get only on the 1st of each month. I have been balancing things since the change, paying a bit more as I can, but they are pressuring me now because my contract ended in March. I am looking at TMobile which may have a different set of problems, but I cannot reward Verizon when I can get a better monthly plan with the same phones for $60 a month LESS than Verizon. Wake up, Verizon, the giant has been sleeping too long in customer service and accommodation.
Verizon's service is decent but WAY overpriced! Their website is both slow and confusing. If you want to do anything other than get a general overview or pay your bill, you will need to take a Tylenol for the pain that will come to your butt. I'm on the unlimited talk/data plan and wanted to use the "usage analysis" feature to see which plan would best fit my usage - guess they don't offer that service to unlimited customers. For the high cost of service, this is a disappointing web site.
Their service has become poor. 5 years ago I used to get service everywhere, now my calls get dropped regularly when I am sitting in my apartment. Family members of mine have the same issue and they live in another state! I cannot conduct business over the phone anymore as I am constantly afraid that my calls will get dropped. Will have to switch to another carrier so I don't keep dropping calls and losing money!
Last month went to Verizon and set up a prepaid account for unlimited high speed data and a phone. After discounts they said it would cost me $55 a month plus tax. So I authorized automatic monthly withdrawals to pay the future charges. After the first automatic payment was made, I found that they had downgraded my plan without notifying or contacting me to the $30 plan and reduced my high-speed data to 1/2 GB per month, and my hot spot stopped working correctly. When I called them they said they wanted another $40 a month in order to give me the same service that they initially agree upon. What really hurts is that the process took many hours of my time which is precious. If you need to contact customer service allocate 2-4 hours. I would not recommend verzion to anyone if you have a viable alternative.
I've been receiving a lot of drop calls and I unable to text out. This service provider is the worst I have a business account and my phone loses service when I'm talking to a potential client, I've lost business because of the inadequate service. And they still want payment
I cancelled service on 5 lines only 3 days into my billing cycle and was only credited $43 out of $280 bill. So I had to pay $237 for 3 days service! What a ripoff. Go with Spectrum, only $29.99 per line ( no extra fees or taxes)
If I could give 0 stars I would. Verizon unfortunately has a monopoly in my area soon am stuck with it. The reception is terrible. I have calls drop when I am in sight of a tower. The internet service is horrible and doesn't work half of the time. 10 out of 10 don't recommend. The service was better 10 years ago when we had 3G. I more often want to throw my phone down and smash it and get a land line. What's the point of even having cellular data of you can't even pull anything up? It is incredibly expensive for the service to be so terrible. Absolutely worthless.
For being the most expensive wireless company on the planet, they provide zero customer service or support. Every time you try to call them you are prompted to text a computer service that doesn't work and then it hangs up on you. Verizon get your $#*! together and provide actual customer service.
Called about a voicemail issue 3 times, and talked to 4 different people who by the way spoke very poor English. You have to repeat yourself all over again and explain everything over. A big cluster f*** of no help at all every time! They will tell you they are going to call you back, that code for "you are on your own" very very frustrating!
Traveled to WA and was charged 5$ Per day on both phones on our account because we were connected to a tower in Canada. International charges for traveling to Port Angeles WA. 4 hours lost thus far trying to stop these fraudulent charges.
I was changing my device online and it required a change of plan which I did. The system asked for funds and then later said my account was cancelled even though this was auto pay and I put through additional funds for the prepaid account. I used the live chat twice and was waiting for a horrendous amount of time and received no help what so ever. If this is customer service, then Verizon should shut their doors and go out of business.
My internet went down at 9am. I called 12 times. Was hung up on twice. Still no internet. Now that I work from home this type of service is interrupting my work performance. Ridiculous! Do not get Verizon
Horrible customer service! I canceled the service and was charged 140. The representative I spoke to was the most condescending person I've spoken to in a long time, almost as though I'm buying a used car over the phone! He stated that he will leave the fees in place because I unable to understand how billing works! Verizon is not able to provide a, yes or no answer, they define "beating around the bush", in hopes of confusion. Then the service rep. Wanted to sell me a service upgrade to ESPN!
I just purchased a new phone from Verizon. My reception is terrible and calls drop multiple times daily now. This wasn't an issue before. I called to get tech support last night and was on the phone for over an hour. Nothing was fixed, and the last time my call dropped while talking to Verizon, they didn't call back. My whole family may need to switch services. Who do you recommend?
Bill started at $114.00, moved up to $351.00, then $1300.00 in a little over a month. Agents and managers are disrespectful and do not state the truth. Fighting the charges. Do NOT ever switch to Verizon. I would rate zero stars if possible. Yankton, SD at 3100 Broadway is horrible.
Answer: Go to My Verizon, click the 3 bars at lower right. In drop down menus hit contact us then schedule a call. They will call you about the time you scheduled a call-back.
Verizon has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,042 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Verizon most frequently mention customer service, new phone and next day. Verizon ranks 145th among Mobile Carriers sites.
