We used Vayama for our trip to Mexico. Total incompetence and negligence and, if that was not enough, very rude.
They messed up my husband's name. They used my first name twice!
We wrote asking Vayama to correct my husband's name and got a standard answer going nowhere. So we wrote back and got exactly the same answer so, this time, I was not as nice.
We got an answer - Vayama does not make manual reservations so does not make errors... Basically, it was our fault - but if we sent our passports, they would get the tickets corrected.
We sent copies of our passports but received an answer that customer service does not take care of these changes. We had to write to a travix.com and, again send copies of the passports.
Did it work? No. They said the changes could not be made because the tickets were on Aero Mexico and the flights were operated by Delta! No excuse, nothing - and they did add that the tickets were not refundable. Basically, they did not care!
I wrote again asking them who I should contact to get the issue solved. Their answer? It was all my fault I had given them the wrong name and had waited more than 24 hours to let them know of the issue!
The series of messages took over a week and we were within 5 days of our flight. So I called Delta, stayed on the phone for a very long time but Delta did get it straighten out. It may have helped that I am gold with them. They even apologize for Vayamas attitude!
I will never again use Vayama and highly recommend no one does. Such poor customer service!

Not just bad, f**king bad! I requested change for my outbound flight, 30th Dec to 13/17th Dec. Someone who answered the phone made the change from 13th Jan to 14th Jan in inbound flight, which I never requested. I have proof that I didn't request for 13th-14th January change. Now they are sending me invoice of 13th-14th Jan change, charging what I didn't requested and saying my original 13th flight is not available anymore. They don't hold calls or reply my mails any longer. What should I do? SO F**KING BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, VAYAMA
I am so disappointed in Vayama and would encourage anyone to NEVER book with them, but rather book through the airline directly. I had to cancel my upcoming trip to Katmandu, and the airlines is offering a 100% refund, but unfortunately, I had to book through Vayama and now I have to go through them. I have talked to the airline MANY times and they assured me that they are offering the refund, but Vayama needs to process it. In the past 13 days, I have contacted Vayama probably 10-15 times. Each time, I talk to someone who is very nice, but never really accomplishes anything for me. I am always assured that you will hear from us within 24 hours... I HAVE NEVER HEARD back from Vayama, I am always the one following up. My firend, who has the exact same flight has received a confirmation of a refund, but I have not. It is completely unacceptable to say that you will contact someone in 24 hours and to never hear back from them. This was a VERY expensive ticket and I need my refund to be processed because it takes up to 60 days to get it and as of now, Vayama hasn't even processed it. There are multiple call centers and some are doing better than others. This is why my friend already has her confirmation of refund and I don't, because we called different call centers. However, a company this large should really have it together to have protocols for instances like this. I learned a valuable lesson this time around-- DON"T book with Vayama!

If you need to make changes to your flight through Vayama, good luck. I've been trying to change my ticket for the past NINE DAYS, AND STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO IT. Their website referred me to a phone, I call the phone and can't get through (25th caller in line etc). I email them, and they don't email back. This is the first time I've used Vayama, and the last. My trip is far more stressful because I can't get through to them and have to wait, and wait, and wait...
Called them, waited 40 minutes in line, some guy picks up, after 2 sentences, just hung up. This company is a joke.
Once you book the flight, they will not pick your calls for any questions or changes to make in the itinerary.
I booked the tickets and immediately called them that there have been a mistake of dates and they hanged up my call twice!
Shameful and disgusting!
Vayama is a red flag in the landscape of travel bookings and I strongly advise anyone to stay away from their business. Their call center agents are not qualified, give out misinformation, are unreliable in their promises to call back and ultimately, am losing my ticket entirely due to the wrong information received by Vayama employees.
I am a frequent traveler with 6-12 flights monthly, and experienced in booking and changing tickets. The experience described below is so unparalleled in its lack of customer service and qualification that I feel compelled to share it broadly as to warn other customers.
I booked a trip with them early in 2013, a flight from Germany to the US, and had to change the ticket shortly before the travel date because of a death in the family.
For my first attempt to change the ticket, I spent a good 3-4 hours on the phone with various agents who did not speak English well enough to communicate about the matter at hand.
I tried to change my ticket to a flexible date approximately 2 weeks after the initial date, and learned that Vayama did not have any tickets available (though the airline, Lufthansa, had plenty available on their and other travel sites) except for a price three times the original fare. After an excruciatingly painful process I was able to change the ticket to a different date. I specifically emphasized that I might need to change the ticket again because the travel dates may change again.
When calling back to change the ticket, I received contradicting information from call center agents. I was told the ticket could not be changed "due to the airline rules", which I had never been informed about. In nine separate calls, I spoke with various call center agents and supervisors, all of whom were unable to deliver any explanation or information to resolve the fact that their customer service representatives had given me wrong information about the possibility to change my flight.
Please do not ever use Vayama.
I have called customer service to make some corrections in my name. First time when I called from US (time 8PM) and I got information that the name changing team will be available only after 2PM and asked me call back. I waited till 2am US time and called them up. Surprise! Team again told me to call after 4:30PM as only then name changing team will be available. No other option provided. As there was no alternative, I had called them again at 5am US time and luckily name changing team was available. After a LONG LONG wait (25-30 mins) on the phone they finally said that they need to contact airline service before they can confirm. And there is no guarantee also provided what would happen. Even if airline accepts, these people will charge me around $150 for name change and also I have to pay the difference as per the new ticket cost. Apart from that, they gave a nice advice to cancel my ticket which will charge me $175 and book the ticket AGAIN. My only question is: why couldnt I get this answer on my first call itself! Now the ticket prices are hiked by $200 within this customer service time. Finally I had to cancel my ticket (bearing huge cancellation charges) and gone to another website with increased prices. The way the service was offered and the concern to the customers is very very less. I have used a lot of services but this is the worst among all. Totally disappointed.
I would never ever ever recommend Vayama or AIG! Not in a million years! The customer service have nooooo clue what they are talking about or what they are doing. I booked a flight on 4/18 and that day on the booking site through Vayama, I was not given the option to purchase travel insurance through a 3rd party, but was given an option for premium purchase. I called Vayama that day, before I booked and asked to make sure that in case of a medical condition with a medical physicians note, would I be able to cancel the flight and receive full refund with the premium package. The guy on the phone stated "yes"! Now I am pregnant and high risk and my doctor wont let me fly, yet I am being told I cannot get a full refund, but that I needed to purchase the trsvel insurance. WELL GUESS WHAT, I WAS NOT GIVEN THAT OPTION TO PURCHASE IT, which I stated over the phone to Vayama customer service! Vayama has noooo clue what they are doing! DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!
DO NOT use vayama. Sooner or later, you will have an issue with a ticket and they will refuse to help, guaranteed. AVOID at all cost
This is my legit review about Vayama. We booked a whole trip for a family of four to Mexico last March. Due to an unfortunate event, we had to cancel the whole trip. Lucky me I purchased the insurance travel trip to AIG. So our money got refunded 75% from the total cost. (the insurance cost itself is around $100). Vayama stated in the beginning that they would refund the tax money, each person is $89 so total of four is $356 - Vayama processing fee is $25, so total money I should get back is $331. This issue has been pending since June 15th. They told me the manager's name is CURTIS, he promised me back June, the money will be processed back in 6 working days, but til now, second week of October, no email or no money from Vayama. I STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED DEALING BUSINESS WITH VAYAMA. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RUDE, IMPOLITE. One time one of the customer service tried to yell back at me, which was totally uncalled for. Until this moment I still received my money back. SO BUYERS BEWARE NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.
Can't imagine that service can be this bad! I booked a trip for 2 person and received confirmation for only one of them. Called them and they apologized and were able to get me the ticket for second person BUT under different trip ID, read as 2 separate travelers by the airline. IT DIDN'T END HERE! They wrongly spelled second person's name!
I wrote them an email TWICE receiving an email response that they will get back to me WITHIN 24 hours. Joke! Called them after 48 hours. Happened to talk with a guy Anto (from India)... telling me that they have not heard back from airline so they did not respond to my message... he was convinced that it was a right thing to do. AND also that spelling mistake was made on my end because the information filled on their website directly goes to airline... even though I confirmed the spellings nearly 10 times before submitting my request and these were also confirmed by my wife sitting right next to me.
When I asked him that if that's the case then why you sent me an itinerary with only one travelers name on it when you charged me for 2. And also that I have documents with proofs for all of this. He continued to repeat same crap! Not only this... he interrupted me at least 3 times in the middle to tell me the same $#*!. When I asked to talk with supervisor..."He is not available. You will have to call after 3 hours". For reference, supervisor's name was told to be William. He also told me that I have to send them the scans of travelers passport to get anything fixed and that "this is the ONLY way anything can be done".
Instead of wasting my time to talk with these thick-heads, i called airline and they fixed everything over the phone.
This is my first review ever about anything in my life. I am doing it considering this as my responsibility to warn others.
The worse place for your travel needs. I booked tickets for myself, my wife and daughter through them and they also charged $10 per seat ( going and coming) for the trip which never heard off because choosing your own seats is totally free but this company ripped us off with $120 total for all three of us. Then due to pandemic and flight operation were suspended and only way to come back home was through US Embassy. I requested a refund for return flight for all three of us which they flat out refused because since flight was changed they told me to reach out to airline direct. Guess what when i reached to the airline they told me that since travel agent were the one booked the flight i have to go back to them for the refund. I have emailed these guys so many times which i did not received any response and plus their phone line is not even working. What a horrible travel agency i ever dealt with, i will be reporting them to BBB and FTC because im sure i am not the only one who they did wrong. **** AVOID THIS TRAVEL AGENCY ALL TOGETHER ****
Booked my flight and took funds then sent an email cancelling the flight
Money was gone from my account!
Terrible customer service
Why my ticket conditions contain that
Date change - Possible
Cancellation - Possible
And now i requested for cancellation and agree for charging but they just feedback by an auto email can't respond
I agree never use Vayama. They promised to cancel my flight with incorrect passenger name and I must start over with a new booking. Never cancelled
It is horrible. Customer service is the worse. I'm telling everybody I know "don't use it" and don't use Singapore Airlines
Booked, but no ticket confirmation. The airline did not have a reservation for me, no ticket number given... seems like a scam from other reviews...
Answer: Go to webjet they are better
Answer: Don't do it -- not worth it. They won't actually book you on those flights your seeing, and will change your itinerary before your flight actually goes out. -- So much so I was booked on a flight that made me miss my connection, and they said I had no choice but to rebook that leg of my trip 2 days prior or after... so I asked for a refund and it's being "approved" -- $700 down the drain.
