I have used ValoreBooks before and had good luck. This time around, they cancelled 2 of the 5 books my daughter needed. NOT ONE TIME, but TWICE. The worst part about this is that they didn't even notify me that the books were being cancelled. I happened to go onto the website to see what the shipping status was so I could let my daughter know when to expect the books. Here I see it said 'cancelled' and $0.00 charged. Don't promise books if you can't deliver.
This is the first time using this site and I have ebooks already but like to have hard copies at times. It was refreshing to see international books available at a fraction of the cost. We will see how my order goes and will come back with a new review upon completion
This is the worst textbook rental company I have ever dealt with. I have had many problems in the past such as receiving the wrong book. I tried contacting them to get the correct book that I ordered and I never received responses to my many attempts. Shipping took a very long time and continued being delayed. Thought I would give them another chance this semester so I ordered another book a week and a half ago which was expected to arrive in 3-5 days. Well here we are a week and a half later and I still do not have the book and there is no tracking information available. Even though the prices are cheap, I strongly recommend ordering from another company so you will be guaranteed to receive your books.
This company is a total scam. DON'T USE IT! I've sold a lot of other books via amazon and chegg and have no problems. Valorebooks entices you with free shipping and good quotes but WILL NOT follow through. Happened to me twice. Spread the word and don't let them steal books from anybody else...
I "sold" a textbook back to this company 9/3, and there was a very poor response. First, they "sent the textbook to the publisher to check if it was counterfeit." Even though, there was NO evidence for the book to be counterfeit and NO explanation why they deemed it so. I NEVER received any notification of this happening until I went on their website to see why my payment was taking so long. I reached out to their customer service by email 9/18 and was told it would take 1-3 MONTHS for the publisher to review whether the book was counterfeit. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and set an event in my calendar for 3 months after on 12/21. In that time frame, I NEVER received ANY word from Valore Books. I reached out once again by email, and was told it was deemed to be counterfeit without ANY further explanation or evidence. I truly feel they kept the book and resold it without paying me and blamed the publisher as a scapegoat. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR RESALES.
Stay away from this place! This company is a scam. I followed all directions and properly mailed my books to their return address and patiently waited for 14 days. I get an email from the company stating that they will not pay me for my book because of "damage", and they will not return the book to me either. This book was in good condition when I mailed it out, with no rips, writing, highlighting, or pages missing. It seems to me that this place just rips people off and takes their books with no intention of actually paying for the property. I will never purchase a book from this company or ever sell a book to them again. Stay Away so you don't get ripped off!
I just ordered my book, so waiting to see if i get it fast. I have ordered from this site in the past and have not had any issues, the rental is a decent price. Also, shipping is cheaper than other places.
I like ValoreBooks. They have great prices for the struggling college student. The only thing I dislike is that you have to pay for shipping on every item. When I buy/rent four books, each book has and individual shipping rate. I would give ValoreBooks 5 stars if it would do away with that and have one flat rate at the end of my purchase.
As others have said avoid this place. I was linked to them from my school's bookstore website so i thought they were legit. I ordered four books. First two didn't show up and seller said I refused them after I waited two weeks to contact them. I never refused the books, but I was refunded. The most expensive book I purchased has not arrived and I'm told I have to wait 30 days to file for a refund on that one. Last book was not correct book and I guess I'll find out how they handle this. So four book and four failures thus far. Not the stress you want in the beginning of a semester.
Book was easy to find and it is listed at best price of all the sites I checked, to include a reasonable shipping fee. The one thing I did not like about this buying experience is it did NOT provide an estimated shipping date either before or after my purchase was finalized. Therefore, I have no idea when to expect this book to arrive.
It was easy to use, easy to order and the best rate I found. Did not think the "free shipping" site that immediately popped up after I ordered was legit though. Nothing on it revealed the cost after the 7 day trial... at least not that I could find and I read the entire terms. Nothing about expected shipping dates either. I have to admit as I am writing this I am rethinking my decision to order here.
School website wants us to buy our books there, but their prices are 200% higher than these. Took a little bit of searching to find the website, but definitely going to remember it. Haven't gotten my books yet.
Process was simple even for those that have no clue. Valorebooks was recommended by several friends that used this site. I think that the shipping could be a little less especially on books that cost under a dollar.

The website was easy to use and the prices were very reasonable. They had one of the books I have been looking for at a significantly lower price than those on the Amazon Marketplace and eBay. I will look here when I am searching for second hand books in the future.
I looked at few different sites and decided to go with this one because how quickly and easy I was able to find what I was looking for for the price even lower than I got on other sites. Im very pleased with my shopping experience, definitely come back here again.
Has the cheapest books for college. Fast shipping. Easy returns on rentals. Great website for me. The flat rate shipping is a little expensive at time because it is per book but other than that i love it.
Long story short, the powered by google service that fills in your address for you nearly ruined my ability to buy my book. I was able to get around it after a while but it was still irritating. On top of my preexisting irritation at the cost of the book itself.
Would definitely recommend this website. I looked through 4 different other sites and nothing beat ValoreBook's prices. From searching the type of book to checking out, i had 0 problems and everything was super easy.
