I have been on hold for almost 3 hours with no answer because they have done something to my card and I can't use it even though I have funds.

I keep getting random charges on my card and they wont help with it. Its in a random city. Im thinking they are the ones stealing from my card
I should have never got direct express they never answer they're customer service line and they steal your money! I do not recommend this card!
I disputed a bogus charge with Apple twice, after a week of daily communication I was instructed to dispute it with my bank BC no was their final answer.The amount in question was $158.99.I called DE for the first time ever in 5 years of being a customer.The first rep lady sounded nice but when I explained the situation I then asked a question in which she spoke over me and didn't apologize but told me in no certain terms she would get me to the right dept. & I wouldn't need to keep them on the phone explaining the situation when they could be answering other calls,just file the dispute listen & answer more or less.She then connected me to a man I told him my name and the specific charge, again before filing I had a question bc I've never filed a dispute with a bank or card issuer before.He spoke over me didn't apologize and when I asked him to pls repeat himself bc I couldn't fully understand where I had spoke also he raised his voice and asked fraud dispute or -?-?- Dispute,I asked what's the difference? He then said well and sighed then I went on a hold.He didn't tell me or ask me to go on or be put on hold briefly or at all, I stayed on hold for 1HR and 3 min.Already upset I was pulling up to give a rotten review & finally switch my DD and bank all together then all the sudden I hear a friendly ladies voice, VIOLET. Violet saved DE a longtime first caller customer tonight,she was kind, helpful, listened & sympathized.She asked questions and didn't get agitated when I went into detail, as she fill in all the blank spaces correctly she walked me along with her reading aloud the terms of each claim and where mine fit and did I meet this or that criteria. She was patient, friendly, professional and thorough. I was satisfied, with her anyway.some reps could use some extra or refresher course in customer courtesy & their app could offer more interaction features, I feel like it's not up to par with other unheard of banking apps. That is all. Violet you go girl! Keep up the good work.
Exactly HOW long fo I have to wait for someone to answer so that I can activate my card? I need ro get on with my life, you are holding me up!
They are horrible, customer service is rude and they don't won't give you your money back if you dispute it. Don't use this bank
Been with them for 7 years now, never have I had a problem with them. Maybe I'm been lucky but nothing to complain about
I have had direct express before, and I have had the direct express card for y1 ear, and I regretted it! They crack me up when they mentioned protection from fraud when they're the ones doing the fraud, they withdraw money from your account for no reason if you don't watch them they will take your entire funds, they are not trained to handle any situation, their rude, and disrespectful, they don't care about you or your problems because their the ones causing the problems with your funds, the sad thing is when the government take their funds back they don't replace it, if they do its only two times after that they don't refund your money anymore, and if you loose your card then you wind up waiting for 3 or 4 weeks for a replacement card,,, but the sad thing is that Direct Express is on the BBB as a bad business to work with they changed their names multiple times, and that everyone I know who is on this system has been robbed... the government has all these lies on how they protect us from fraud, and how they are the best for all of us when their are full of sh*t what ever bank that Direct Express is connected to is also committing fraud
Since I left direct express, I have not been facing fraud take some advice and leave direct express or you will always have money missing from your account, and dealing with untrained workers, and if you decide to stay then good luck

This is the 3rd time this Bank tried to steal my disability payday they do it because they are scammers & criminals.
I can't pay my bills and I can't because I'm having problem with my account.I been trying to talk to someone since seven o'clock.
It's gone fine so far but I would like to transfer my social security to a local bank so I can talk to a real person
Go to your bank they let companies take money off your car without authorization and it's hell to get your money back

I wouldn't advice to get direct express, a couple months they have stolen 303.00. They say they gave me a refund but they didn't.so please beware!
My 4 year old and I got sick with Covid on Friday 10/1. We have no family to help. I tried to use my card that night online to order us food and it was declined. I called customer service and got a message due to high call volume they couldn't take my call. I tried all night long. Nothing. Saturday 10/2 I again tried all day long to get help. My card would not work anywhere I tried. I finally got through to someone in the dispute office on Sunday 10/3. They said I had to be transferred. I sat on hold 6 more hours and nobody ever picked up. The dispute department refused to help me saying they couldn't. It is now Monday 10/4 and 12 pm. I've been transferred and sitting on hold for 2 hours. I finally got someone in the dispute department. They transferred me to a supervisor who was extremely rude. She said Direct Express blocks cards from being able to be used online due to fraud. They could temporarily allow me to use my card online but it would only be for 3 days, and take 24 hours for the request to be put through. I told her they have put me in an emergency situation, and how important it was for me to be able to use my card now, and I can't go to the atm and go to the store to get supplies. She said "nobody is asking you to go to the atm" and she hung up on me. I am now sitting on hold to try to get back through to someone to help me. I am out of toilet paper, water, food, cat food, and cannot get medicine for my 4 year old or I. My husband is in critical care in the hospital. I explained this to her also and she just hung up on me. This is unbelievable. I don't know what needs to happen, but you better believe I will be looking into how to file a formal complaint against this company, and changing my direct deposit information today.
I was denied a grocery store purchase, so I contacted the infamous Direct Express customer service, who claimed there was nothing wrong with my card,and that. MasterCard was denying the purchase (I contacted MasterCard; they are not authorized to deny any transactions.) The recommended complaint line for Direct Express is an email to the Federal Trade Commission, which after emailing them explaining I cannot access funds a available on my account, and that Direct Express/Comercia Bank, contracted by the U.S. Dept. Of the Treasury offers no resolution, the FTC just sent me a disclaimer stating they cannot access my account and to once again contact the disfunctional Direct Express customer service for more lies. They acknowledge that there are funds available; everything else is deception and smokescreens from liars guaranteeing if I go to another ATM, the card will work. Not true, as it's Christmas, and all transactions are still Wrongfully Denied. THIS IS A TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE AFFECTING THOUSANDS OF SENIOR AMERICAN CITIZENS WHO ARE HAVING THEIR RETIREMENT REVENUE WITHELD WITHOUT ANY RECOMPENSE FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT? GREVIOUS, SICKENING, INCONCEIVABLE PRACTICES BY A BANK CHOSEN BY THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT,AND STILL GETTING AWAY WITH IT? THIS DESPICABLE, CORRUPT BANK IS RUINING LIVES, WHILE THE FEDS LOOK THE OTHER WAY! UNBELIEVABLE, YET TRUE.
Money was fraudulently removed from an ATM. Direct Express denies this. There is a discrepancy on the date between what their record shows and what my account record states.My card was denied a day before the fraud occurred, so I reported it. According to my DE account record, the fraud happened one day in the future? Absurd! Direct Express handles money for the federal government, and is being sued in a class action lawsuit because they have ripped off many elderly, and disabled Americans on fixed income. This travesty of justice must be addressed by the Attorney General of the United States!
Answer: Absolutely not! The system is automated if you can meet your need via that system you will be good to go. If you need to speak to a human it could takes hours and days. I've been calling for 4 days. Every hour 2 - 20 calls an hour. I receive the message they have a high call volume, they tell me to try again later and then they disconnect they call. Their practices are abusive.
