Went to my home branch. Asked for in person help in applying for a secured visa prepaid (have $20 k in my checking, requesting $1500). Sat down w the assistant Mgr, face to face. She helped me walk thru the online process for applying. Spent 45 min going thru the process. Cool. Done. Told I would get a letter in the mail. Well, no mail came. Why? Wtf. Spent 50 min on the ph (5 ph calls 4 couldn't hear the rep on the other end even tho the auto menu voice is 100x louder), then being transferred from banker to card services to banker to other representatives. Finally, found out my application is not even in the system. So $#*! you US Bank. I'm shopping for another bank.
I called because two payments came out of my account and I have proof in my US bank inbox saying that two payments came out of my account and the representative was trying to tell me that the most recent payment I made was a month ago. When I told her that I was looking at the payment confirmations in my inbox for the current month and that I had it pulled up, she didnt say anything there was just a long pause, I thought I might have been disconnected but then I said "Are you there" and then she rudely yes. Shortly after that, she hung up right in my face. Didn't say have a nice day or anything. Are these people even trained on how to speak to their customers? Or is that particular woman just a complete b*****? I have a photo that proves I made two payments in the current month of May. I was not being rude, I was calling for a very good reason because I was about to be charged twice in the same month and she was acting like I was inconveniencing her.
The caps on your account for the first year are wild. I wanted to buy an international plane ticket. I couldn't because it was over $1k. A rep said I could only use $1k per transaction. Found out that wasn't true. It's $1k PER DAY. FOR A YEAR. Then you have to APPLY for an increase. Transferring money? $500 cap. So when you need to pay rent… Buying a laptop? You can't. You have to go to the ATM to get cash. But there's a cash withdrawal limit.
If you're 12 and cut grass, you'll love it. If you're an effing adult, run.
I was transferred to Us bank as they bought Union bank. It has been approximately 1 year and they closed by bank account without your consent or permission. When I discovered it and contacted them, I am told that they had left me one phone message and one email message that I cannot find and never contacted me again - just closed the two bank accounts (business bank accounts). I am told that it takes them 48 to 72 hours to evaluate and the questions that they have asked me are about my business and home address that they had in record and confirmation of deposits from my bank accounts.
The questions that I had to answer are no reason to close business bank accounts. I am in the process of logging a complaint with the Federal government to see if this is a discriminatory action.
I would reccomend anyone to stay away from this bank - The worst bank that I have dealt with.
My acct was involved in some fraud. The bank deactivated my debit card to prevent anything else. They were kind to next day air my debit card to me. I work at UPS so I know how much they paid for shipping. Thank you for showing my respect, protection, and makes me happy to be your customer.
Emily in idaho is a perfect professional customer service rep very nice interested i'm my issues sometimes u get junk especially from zulily ur credit card firm doesn't want u 2 get ripped off so some1 like emily will help u write a complaint including all the issues necessary 4 a positive outcome & use the banking system 2 help u thanku emily a real asset 2 us bank give her a raise & promotion xoxoxo:-):-)
This bank sucks. Worst bank ever.what bank holds a check for 10 days. And the people who works for this bank are very unhelpful. There is nothingn good about us bank.very unprofessional. That use your money and the people that banks with them.
Constant miscommunication from bankers at branch. I'm always told one thing to find out another. Was told cash deposits are same day. I deposited $250 and had to wait two days to see it. My card pin randomly changed itself and was locked out of my card, couldn't contact customer service over phone so had to make an appointment that couldn't happen until NEXT DAY. If issues arise don't expect help. You can't just call for immediate help. The phone service will just be automated and when you ask for someone it automatically hangs up. Today was the last straw and I'm closing my account after my deposit that was in my account yesterday is just mysteriously gone and I have to wait to make an appointment to talk to someone about money that shouldn't be gone. I can't trust this bank and neither should you.
I could never get help with online banking, I had just opened the account, it takes 48 hrs. To get help with your online banking if you get locked out. I think it something shady about it, because I did put in the right password, and then I changed my password and it still locked me out, 4/14/2023 I called to try and get help, because I have been locked out again fo 48hrs. That is to long to be locked out of your account, So he tells me that my account was closed without my acknowledgments, no one helped me with the program, he said they will be sending me a cashier's check, my important money was going there and they just closed my account. Bad customer service
US bank in columbus, Ohio at northern lights. My daughter deposited 79.00 to her acct. The US Bank did a reverse deposit because of an error within the atm. She has to wait till 7-10 days to get funds. This is unacceptable.
US bank is withholding funds because of an error the bank caused. US Bank should be shamed withholding funds. They make me sick.
This $#*!ers they put a hold on my check every time. I just deposited $5000.00 and they put a hold for seven days. $#*! US bank, I'm closing my account the very next minute after I get MY MONEY.
USBANK solicited me to apply for a business card with $500 reward after spending $4500 in the first 150 days. When they set it up they gave me card and separate card for wife with different number. They billed us on one statement like we have one account which we believed we had. When rewards time came they separated statements and stated no reward because $4500 charged to neither card even though the single statements totaled more than $4500. We were never advised that the two cards would be treated as one account for billing and payment purposes but separately for rewards. It appears to be a "gotcha" by USBANK. When I contacted the person who solicited me to get the card she stated that I would receive the reward. Another person from the bank told me the same. Apparently some bank employees were not aware of the "gotcha" that USBANK built into the procedure. Beware of any dealings you have with USBANK.
Us Bank is charging my auto dealer a 6k early payoff penalty because I will not lease my new car with US Bank. I am trading my vehicle in a year early as my needs have changed. I now have to keep my vehicle as I can't afford to pay 6k extra for a vehicle. Payoff is now more than I paid for the car. Run away from this bank.
Was denied a US Bank business credit card with a 768 credit rating. The hard credit inquiry dropped my score 20 points immediately (received a crazy number of alerts from my other banks). The finished application didn't show any information, never received an email that it was received, called their phone number and they couldn't give me any information. A month later I received a denial letter. Applied for a Chase business Credit Card a week later after the denial. Was approved within 3 days for 25k with my credit score now being 748. Why even offer a credit card if you don't want new clients? Why spend the money for a marketing campaign and infrastructure? I will never bank with US Bank. My company gross is 400k+ in its first 6 months - chump change to them but obviously US Bank is not small business friendly.
This Bank is a rip off. They send you statements with balance but then you find out there is interest added to it. They charge a fee for paying off early that wasn't conveyed to me during signing and they won't let you pay off the balance over the phone so they can charge you more interest waiting for the payment. I tried to click on no stars but wouldn't let me.
Our deposited a third party check into my account now mind you I have the account for over a year and the check cleared everything was good and they froze my account they sent back my rent check even though I have the funds in the bank and are closing my account it said I can't have access to my money until March 16th what do I do who can I speak to they're horrible bank and I will never bank with them again
Had checking account.
Had and used HELOC-paid it back very quickly.
Closed checking account.
Accessed HELOC again-bank refused to give me statements or information regarding HELOC without having checking account.
Was told that to access statements-I had to go online.
Cant go online without online account.
Cant get online account without having checking account.
Bank wont give me free account.
Can not get them to mail me statements.
Got my first piece of mail from them the other day saying they are closing my HELOC and changing my payment by double.
No help in branch, cant get online or phone help without checking account.
Almost as bad as Chase...
Charging me for a fee because a bank that I closed an account with about a week and a half before payment was due tries to send a payment? What the hell? Of course the bank is closed and it is not my fault and my payment was made with my new bank on time! U.S. Bank was like, it's my fault that the bank tried to send a payment that wasn't valid? Customer service suck and they suck! The End!
I have been with us bank for 13 yrs. I have went through a loan modification with them and recently a 6 month forbearance with them. I also have a credit card with them which the have reversed every late payment & cash with Withdrawl fees. They have bent over backwards for me.
Customer service stinks. Branch manager totally ineffective conveying information to the credit card division. Regional manager Mary Forest does not acknowledge or return phone calls. Dexter, Missouri branch manager would not give me access to safe deposit box so I had to do a 20-hour round trip a week later to gain access to MY OWN BOX by appointment. Bank ANYWHERE else.
Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
