Purchased a motor, drove it one week and the motor blew. They Won't honor any warranty. From the reviews looks like all they sell is junk.

Total ripoff
March 18, 2022

Needed a motor for a Saturn for my kids car. They said they had one for $800, only 60k miles. I paid for it, it was shipped to me via freight. I was told it sat inside a warehouse in Minnesota. When I got the motor and took it out of the crate they sent it in, it was full of mouse repellent, had oil caked all over it from valve cover leaks, oil pan leaks, etc. The exhaust chambers were covered in carbon and oil, from bad rings. Seeing all this I pulled the valve cover and discovered the timing chain was loose, and the cam sprockets had significant wear on it, and the timing chain was worn beyond use. In a nutshell, I paid $800 for a boat anchor. I also found out it came from a junk yard in Ohio, not Minnesota. I found the info on the paperwork, for the junk yard it came out of, and called them, with the stock# written on the side of the engine. I was told the motor had 130k plus miles. Not the 60k I was told. This motor was a core at best. I called usmotorparts, on the # they were texting me on, and talked to "Steve". He offered me a replacement, however i declined as I would have to pay for shipping on all of it. Told them I wanted a refund. 3 weeks later, no refund, I reported it as fraud to my bank. Worst company to deal with, and they lie about everything you ask. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, THEY ARE A SCAM.

Was trying to help my dad, who is suffering economically and mentally during the pandemic, to get his vehicle back into working condition before winter came, which meant ordering a new engine.

It was my mistake for not looking up the reviews and forgetting that the older generation is more vulnerable to these things, but since I didn't know what he needed in an engine exactly, I left it in his hands after I pointed him to a couple of resources.

Despite the picture, which apparently they just copy paste for every single engine they sell, what arrived was an unusable mess of an engine.

When he called to check that the 5-year warranty was still relevant, they assured him it was. The thing is, all that means is that they'll send you a new engine when the piece of garbage they sent you breaks down (according to our long-time trusted mechanic, looked to be about 6 months of usability), but they won't cover any of the mechanics' costs, etc., so you're stuck with a broken engine and a need to spend money all over again to re-install what will eventually be another broke engine. Obviously nobody wants to deal with that!

My father lives in a rural area and getting the parts in time during the pandemic meant he couldn't even get the engine evaluated properly in time to return it before the money-back return date.

I'm sure that everything they are doing is 'legal' according to the letter of the law, but they are most certainly acting in bad faith. They prey off the vulnerable, looking for any loophole they can just to make their money. They are not in the business of actually helping anyone get reliable, viable, necessary parts to help them get back on the road.

USAutoparts.net sends out wildly cheap and unsuitable parts to unwitting buyers. It makes it next to impossible to return. You can't call its 888 number to complain, because it is out of service. Any attempt to return a package via the US Postage service goes unanswered until appeals to the Paypal folks to reverse charges run out. THIS IS INDEED A SCAM. The company is not working in good faith. I wish I had checked the BBB rating before ordering my Jaguar air filter from them.

US Auto parts is one of the worst if not the worst online auto parts store I've ever dealt with in my life. Their parts are cheap knock off counterfeit parts they sell. And the return system is even worse. They want to charge me the shipping fee on a part that didn't fit my vehicle that would have made me pay more on the shipping then what the part was worth and to return it would have been double the shipping fee out of my pocket. Amazon eBay, Jet.com all do better service than this sorry incompetent company has done. It's a wonder why there's stock drop to $3.11 a share it's because their business sucks and run by poor management but either way I'm never buying anything else from US auto parts never ever again.

Scam
June 29, 2018

Ordered a part and after order was complete noticed the part number was not correct so I called customer service immediately and was told that the order would be canceled, an hour later I receive an email with a tracking number and called back I was told that since a tracking number had been generated that the order could not be canceled even though they could see the order cancelation in their system. Was told that I would have to wait until the part arrived and call back for return instructions. Meanwhile they have my money. The first call was literally minutes after completing the order.

VERY slow service
June 8, 2018

10 days still have not shipped parts. Customer Service seems unable to tell you much of any thing. No email other than the original one saying order was placed. This is someone that is best avoided. Try any competent Auto parts they can get is shipped same day and for as good a price there is no excuse for this poor of service.

I ordered a catalytic converter through this website because no local parts stores could get it in within a week. This was the only website that offered expedited shipping, which is the only reason I close to use them. Big mistake. I ordered late Sunday night, choose two day shipping for an extra $40. I never once received a single email, On Wednesday when my part didn't arrive I called customer service which was very clearly somewhere in the middle east, and was told I never received an email because they didn't have one on file for me which is untrue because you can't place an online order without an email, I have get my email and was told "you'll absolutely start receiving emails about your order now". Which 5 days later i still have not gotten a single one. She then tells me that expedited shipping wasn't available for that part and I should be receiving it Friday. I use my car for work, the only reason I ordered through www.usautoparts.net was for the expedited shipping so I can get back to work. This was now not an option. It is now Friday, I haven't received my part, I can't work, I haven't gotten a single email regarding my order, the money is out of my account, and when I tried calling customer service the person on the other end spoke English so poorly I spelled my last name FIVE TIMES and he couldn't get it right, and didn't understand what I was saying so I just hung up. Ill never order through this website again. Terrible service, absolutely terrible. I hope someone reads this and it saves them a headache. Order from ANYONE else just not www.usautoparts.net

I bought two parts from US Auto Parts and gave them a core deposit for each part. I returned the two parts, and have not received my full deposit back, missing the half for one of the parts, $73.20 although the parts were returned, with delivery tracking by FedEx Ground on 12/7/10, and it was signed for by JReggie on 12/8/2010, Tracking #**************. I have sent literally dozens of emails, and keep getting ignorant responses saying they owe the money, and have to refer it to supervisors in accounting, which they fail to name. The Customer Service staff of US Auto Parts is incompetent to handle simple matters, and the Accounting department is completely non-responsive.

If you value your time, better off paying a few percent more and not doing business with US Auto Parts. A more reputable, competent retailer would have saved me a lot of aggravation.
