Scam!

We all get spam emails and calls, but when a company as big as Unitel Direct tells you false information to get a sale processed, it not only shows how desperate they are, but shows the true and authentic colours of the company.
They promised us results on Bing, Yahoo, in which we already had marketing done on Bing and Yahoo previously, even though they stated we hadn't done. After saying I'll get back to him, they raised their expectations of their 'work' and reduced the price to suit my restrictions. Which then when we realised their sales approach was totally illegitimate. We attempted to call Unitel Direct and discuss the sales approach, which the floor manager of the branch completely didn't seem to care, which he then stated we had to send an email in which they would respond, which was then replied with an Issued Invoice and zero explanation of the sales approach.
Not only is the company charging us a estimated amount of £150 per month, but it keeps rising. They don't communicate, and they more so don't care about how they provide their services and approach potential clients. As it's more so a scheme on how to trap vulnerable and desperate companies with their agreement plan.
We wish we never picked up the call from Unitel Direct. They have not only taken funds without administration approval, but also don't care that we are trying to contact them, even though we are paying through a direct debit, which cannot be canceled unless a fee of the total 12 months of the subscription is paid.
Their sales approach, communicating skills and humility as a company of their stature, is far from what you'd, expect.

Over £500 to cancel a "contract". Staff are rude when you want to cancel and will hang up on you.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Firstly I am very sorry you feel this way, I assure you we are not "scam artists". If you are in a contract that you are trying to break early then there will (like every other service provider) be an early termination fee to pay, Such as when you are in an agreement for a mortgage that you wish to terminate early - you will have a redemption fee to pay. I am unable to locate your details from the post. Please can I ask that you email us directly and allow me to investigate your account, as for a member of staff "hanging up on you" then this will be looked at as well. This is not something that we would ever allow unless a customer has been rude and using abusive / offensive or threatening language. Read the Google reviews about them for genuine reviews because the Trust Pilot ones only get sent to their happy customers, and they flag the bad ones as Trolls. They have also recently removed Google from the seo guarantee and have recently added automatic billing to the terms in the last few months. Cancel before 30 days if you wish to avoid this.

In your response to me you stated 'Your factually incorrect about Google guarantees as well, we dropped this about 4/5 years ago'.

This is a false comment on your behalf as the director and you are the one that is actually factually incorrect, at least about your terms on your website. When I printed off your official website terms (which you tell all customers to be aware of and to refer to) towards the end of 2018 they contained this line, 'Our guarantee is based on results displayed on any one of these search engines Google.co.uk Yahoo.co.uk MSN.co.uk' which was then removed from your terms before April 2019. Were your official terms wrong for 4/5 years?

Also when I printed off your terms in June 2018 and they stated throughout -

- Our guarantee is based on results displayed on any one of these search engines Google.co.uk Yahoo.co.uk MSN.co.uk
- 3.3 All SEO contracts are produced from educated estimates which are unique to each client through the analysis of the prospective client's website against the sites which currently inhabit the first and second page of Google.
- By Unitel Direct achieving a front page ranking on a major search engine, Bing or Yahoo
- Should your package with Unitel Direct not appear on the first page of any major search engine, Bing or Yahoo
- All SEO contracts are produced from educated estimates which are unique to each client through the analysis of the prospective client's website against the sites which currently inhabit the first and second page of Google, Bing or Yahoo.

Towards the end of 2018/early 2019 the terms above were amended and Google and Major Search Engines were removed from your terms and conditions. This is not 4/5 years but a few months to just over half a year at most.

Google is the only search engine worth ranking on really especially if you are paying good money for SEO.

David, factually what you speak of is totally untrure.

Your review doesnt specifically state what you seem to be unhappy about? Have we done something wrong?
For clarification on your review - firstly - staff do NOT get paid £65 a review? Perhaps it was said in light humour to you..., I will be sure to speak with the back office manager at Teesside to establish this.
Unitel have over 600 hardworking and dedicated members of staff, yes, we have centres in India, as-well as Teesside, Swansea and South Africa, soon to be Belfast as well, exactly what is your problem with India? They happen to be an intergral part of our workforce and some of the nicest people you could ever have the pleasure of working with, we have had offices in India for over 10 years as well. Without them, we simply wouldnt be able to supply the superb services in record times that we currently do. Perhaps if you email the above email like I have asked, we can understand your problem. Your factually incorrect about Google guarantees as well, we dropped this about 4/5 years ago due to the complexity of their algorithms and decided to focus our methods elsewhere, of which is simply non of your business either but again, I will happily speak with you if you can identify yourself by emailing the above.
