I placed an order for 7 items. I placed the orders over a week before Christmas. When I checked out nothing was on back order. Appartently after I checked out they placed the items on back order and didn't notify me. Now its the night before Christmas Eve and I have found out that my items will not be ready. One of the items shows a shipping time of 3/31/16. Why would anyone order something that cost 40 dollars and wait 4 months on this? This company is horrible. I will stick with Amazon as they deliver as promised. In response to Uncommon goods. I did not miss this and decide to wait on backorder. It never appeared on your website. The note for back order is in Red Lettering and stands out on your page. I order hundreds of items each year offline. You are the only company that failed to deliver 5 out of 7 items on time. Obvisiouly if I am ordering for Christmas I am not waiting on back order.
I wish I had looked up whether this company was legit or not. I am ordering this item in April 2021 and I have not gotten it. It was projected for April 13th, and it is currently April 22nd with no update on my order. The last update was on the 14th, that just says "in transit to next location". I am pretty sure this company is a scam. Customer service sucks as well!

Do not buy anything Uncommon Goods. They are poorly run, have bad processes and even worse customer service.
I like to send my family different and fun gifts for Christmas and I thought I had selected a good option for Christmas 2023. I purchased 5 sets of olive oil spices and a gourmet bottle of olive oil from Uncommon Goods. $80 per set for over $400 total. I thought everything was good until I received two separate texts today from my 2 nieces thanking us for this gift... but they wondered what it was for since today is January 6,2024. So, they both received our gift almost 2 weeks after Christmas, and one month after the promised delivery date. I immediately called customer service and they confirmed that all gifts left their warehouse in November but 2 out of 5 did not arrive until January 6 and one still hasn't been delivered. I asked for credit on all 3 and they said it is not their responsibility once it leaves their warehouse. Bull! If they have the capabilities of tracking packages one month after the promised delivery date they should a have process in place to follow up on any package not delivered by the delivery date. And, 100% of this process could be completely automated. So, either their management team is inept, lazy, cheap or does not care about their customers.
It is funny how every single holiday gift we ordered from Amazon (probably 35 in total) and other online companies arrived on time, but all gifts ordered from Uncommon Goods had a 60% fail rate.
I can write code and I would be happy to reprogram their system to automatically alert their logistics team, shipping partners and customers if any package is late. My fee would be say, oh $400, but probably a lot more. I hate these people.

I see that many people have had a bad experience, but in my case, I ordered a "Sarcastic 9 Ball" (which is very funny and well made). It came quickly in perfect condition. No problems.
I ordered a gift on 30th Dec 2021, expected to receive by 18th Jan 2022, and now is 2nd Feb 2022 and still no update from them. Emailed them countless of times just to get response "We have reached out to our international shipping partner to contact the carrier and we are currently awaiting a response." STILL NO UPDATE! SCAM! This is the most frustrating e-commerce purchase so don't ever buy anything from here again!

I used them last year and all was good. This year, however, nothing but bad.
I ordered my items on Dec 11 (all items listed as "in stock"). As of Dec 19, they had not shipped. I did get one item well over a week late. The second has yet to ship (today is the 21st). I was issued a tracking number for this item, yet mysteriously, it did not work. Only to find out that it in fact had not shipped, contrary to the shipping notification. I have gotten two different stories from the customer service reps, and am told I will have it by Friday (which I highly doubt). I will not be using this company again.
Also, Jennifer G. [uncommon goods rep], please do me the favor of not insulting me with the same "I'm sorry for this mix up. I would like to follow up and investigate this further" crap. You have spewed this on every bad review, and if you have not been able to figure out the problem after all this time and bad reviews, then you need a new occupation. Might I suggest something other than detective. If you are really interested in solving the problem... then try closing the business. That should do it.

I ordered express delivery (4 - 7 days).
I ordered on the 12th, and now on the 18th there is no tracking number, and the goods have not been shipped.
When I spoke to them they said I can expect anytime between 24th and 30th. Which is now between 14 and 18 days. I expect they do not ship express, but rather keep for themselves as extra profit.
The customer service is not actually customer service. Its more telling them telling you that "sorry its not our problem now." And "there is no way for us to help you" The customer has to now deal with shippers.

I ordered a personalized nightlight over three weeks before I needed it and paid extra for the shipping to ensure it arrived on time. Now day of the party, still not received. Someone at this company shipped it USPS instead of UPS and it is MIA. Not only do I NOT have a gift now for a party today but I have to run and grab some cheap toy. I will NEVER purchase anything from here again! They will credit my shipping, BIG DEAL. Credit my entire order, it is lost by USPS.

This place is bogus, cool website but its a scam paid $90 for a lamp for a birthday gift, never received and the website said it was canceled. Called customer service talk to John. Said my bank holds the money because it looks like a fraudulent charge. Even though it was still taken out of my account. (I work at a bank so I know that's not how they do things) John said a manager would contact me. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. YALL BOGUS AF.

Ordered some high ball glasses that were packed so poorly they arrived broken. Literally they were thrown in a big box with 3 pieces of brown paper on top. No one bothered to wrap them or secure them so they all rolled around in the box and broke. I had 2 orders of them. 1st order I was assured refund would be in 24-48 hrs, that was 6 days ago. The 2nd order I got notice from Fed Ex it was sending it back to the shipper due to damage. That was also 6 days ago no refund. 2 long on line chats with customer service. Today will have to make yet another call. The service is terrible. The glasses were supposed to be etched. They looked more than silk screened, maybe very slightly etched, lousy cheap looking and they were $16 each. I've never ordered from this company and did so as the glasses were suppose to be "etched" with the map of Charlotte NC, these were gifts for his boss, and employees who work on those streets daily. There are too many good companies out there for you to bother with this one. My last review their response was total boiler plate, it was obvious the person did not read my review of them completely and did not look up my order history, just gave me the call customer service. However as I said I've done that 2 times now its gonna be 3. Ugh.

Shipping updates the item arrives at fedex 6 days later, its Been rescheduled 3 times. Already Dec. 17th and NO ITEM IS AT MY HOME UNDER MY XMAS TREE.

I ordered several items early in December with a guaranteed delivery date of 12/23 at the latest, I still hadn't received any shipping info by the 18th so I called and the lady in customer service put me on hold and talked with the warehouse and then ensured me that my items were shipping that day and they would expedite the shipping in order to meet the delivery deadline. Two days later, on the 20th, I still had no tracking info so I called again. They informed me that some of my items were actually now out of stock and that they fulfilled orders that came in after mine on accident so I wouldn't get the items until January. The few items that were still in stock would ship, but they could no longer guarantee a 23rd delivery date. Never ever will I shop from them again.
